Re: JB's Fictional Draft Classes
After randomly experimenting with the classes the first time around, i decided to start over around the time dc6 released. I decided to rebuild the Lakers and in my first draft, i just had to trade up to draft Anthony Taylor. Had to give up my picks for that draft and the next year's draft as well just to land him. But i knew he'd be well worth it. I held onto Lonzo and Kuzma and with Taylor joining them, a future was beginning to reveal itself with more clarity and direction. I slid Taylor over to the 2 spot and he works out beautifully with Lonzo in the backcourt. What Taylor lacks on D, Lonzo makes up for on matchups by assigning Lonzo to the opposing team's better offensive threat. Lonzo is also the better floor general. Taylor on the other hand is always in attack mode and also makes up for Lonzo's inconsistent jumpshot with his deadly range. Taylor is Rookie of the Year with 25ppg and 4apg.
Year 2 i decided not to trade for a pick and just develop my young core and wait for dc3. Taylor was an All-Star in year 2 and is averaging 28ppg and nearly 5apg. He's also improved defensively and is averaging almost 2spg as he's become good on-ball defender.
Year 3 brought me Anthony O'Connor, reuniting him with college teammate and fellow national champion Anthony Taylor. I decided to use him as my sixth man to utilize his scoring to give me a spark off the bench. What he lacks on D isn't as much of a liability when he plays the opposition's 2nd unit.
For year 4 i got my eyes locked on Zion Butler.
My lineup as of now is:
PG - Lonzo Ball
SG - Anthony Taylor
SF - Kyle Kuzma
PF - Draymond Green
C - Pau Gasol
6th - Anthony O'Connor
Pau has already announced he'll retire at season's end, which rolls out the welcome mat for the next great Laker big. Zion should complete my rebuild and turn this playoff team into a championship contender. I've already traded Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle as assets to collect draft picks to utilize to trade up to land this beast. Taylor and Zion will form the Lakers next 1-2 punch. Not to mention keeping Lonzo with them to form a big 3. Kuzma will be the 4th star like Rondo was for the Celtics and O'Connor will be the mvp of our second unit much like Iguodala is for GSW. Draymond is amazing thus far and really compliments everyone in every way. But as he ages and starts to decline, as will his minutes. This allows O'Connor to eventually get even more minutes off the bench as a force non-starter in future years as Kuzma takes some minutes at the 4. Draymond will still start as his defense is needed more on the first unit and O'Connor's offense is more needed on the 2nd unit. At least, this is the plan. But O'Connor will eventually play starter type minutes off the bench, allowing him to play a lot with the starters.
That's where i'm at now. Sorry for the long book report hahaha! Will update with what officially happens with dc4.

Re: JB's Fictional Draft Classes
Some good news and bad news....first, the good news...DC8 is now online and available for download. Bad news is I haven't had time to do the normal season updates or scouting report or anything for DC8 as of yet, but wanted to upload the class so everyone could use it!
Hope you enjoy!Comment

Re: JB's Fictional Draft Classes
I echo the sentiments of many here. Great classes, man. I grabbed 2K18 for PS4 (I moreAPF an Xbox guy) a few months ago when it was on sale for 20$. Decided to do a quick MyLeague before 2K19 and found your classes. They're awesome. Quick recap.
Anthony Taylor went number 1 overall to the Knicks who somehow jumped to 1 in the lottery from like 7. He's been a stud along with KP. They haven't won much but they are a constant playoff threat due to break through at some point. I'm entering year 5 now and Taylor just got a max extension. He won rookie of the year and the 3 point shoot out this past year.
Deonte Williams is becoming a stud for Atlanta with the 2nd pick. Just a really good player that Atlanta is wisely building around.
I'm the Nets. I forget which draft it was but Kendrick Blackshear is my guy. He's Paul Pierce 2.0 and love giving it to the Celtics with Pierce on the bench (assistant coach). He's also had some epic battles with Taylor in New York. The 2nd year Blackshear and Russell led the Nets to the 8th seed. We beat Boston in an epic 7 game series where Blackshear was inconsistent, but when he went off, he went off! I also grabbed Ruiz (the CPU, actually) in free agency after his first season in Miami. He's been clutch for me.
I'm in the season where Zion Butler was the number 1 pick to the Blazers. He's been hurt a lot, though. Blazers curse!? I traded Hollis Jefferson for a declining McCollum. Russell, McCollum and Blackshear are a formidable team. We're the 4th seed now in the playoffs battling an aging Cleveland team with Lance Stephens and LeBron giving us fits. It's awesome though. Great job on these.Comment
