I plan on making draft classes 60 to 70 players strong. I'm thinking the first class will be an influx on international talent. Followed by second class will be PG heavy and the 3rd will be the return of the Big Man Era.

All classes will be specifically crafted for my gameplay, with tendencies, attributes, appearance, etc. There will be no players rated over 79 on draft day. I will test them out first for a number of years to make sure the players progress and regress correctly.

I apologize for no communicationa and thanks to everyone for keeping the community strong. It really makes me happy and gives me motivation to make more content.
That's great news! Looking forward to draft classes with your edits!

    And wow,

Ikeem Booth just put up a triple double against me. Great player and I really like Curtis Jennings at point guard. He was nice.

Here's a look at those guys!

Re: PS4 From the Ashes: Tim's Fictional Nba 2k19 Roster

Just 1 more week and I will finally be able to start editing my roster and to begin making my Fictional Draft Classes. These will all be themed per release and will be geared toward my already established fictional roster.

      For example:
Year 1 will be themed "International Explosion" with players mostly from all over the world. College players may be weak that year and this will be an influx of international stars.

Year 2 will be the "Return of the Big Man." This will reintroduce the "big man" era of basketball back to the NBA. Think of back to the basket players, low post bigs, and classic big man players. Of course, there will also be the other positions too, just with more blue-chip players.

Year 3, I'm thinking of a weaker draft with players that are more of an "intangible fit." They will bring more to the game with IQ, than with overall skill.

Keep in mind that I haven't started yet. Actually just moved to another country again and I am also a professional wrestler, so I train a lot and will have a big match on June 2nd, in Seoul South Korea. However, once that match is done, I can begin with the roster again and put it out fast. I have a good editing method, that makes everything faster than most edits. I appreciate the patience of those that are interested.

I’m loving your rosters man. They are amazing. I’m playing with real teams just fictional and it’s amazing. Using the JB draft roster for now, still on season one, but will look into yours once you do them.

You mention editing your roster, what will you do to edit your roster?

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure what I will do with the roster yet. I haven't touched my PS4 for 3 months and I plan on focusing on the DC's first. Then I may clean up the roster again or maybe keep it as is and just focus on the draft classes.

One thing I have noticed and I don’t know if it’s a factor the game but the contracts seem to be a bit funny especially with the options. For example, when I start mygm with your rosters some players have the green or blue for the option but no money assigned so I can’t tell if it’s an actual option. The other thing with contracts is that when you start a mygm with your rosters no team has any bird rights on anyone, which might be a glitch but I don’t know.

The other things which are minor, I don’t think there is a 90+ overall player who is over 30, and I think some of the young under 25 players are a bit too under rated. Like you get some guys that are 90-92 at age 25 but the top 22-23 year old is less than 85 overall. Granted I haven’t simmed/played ahead yet but still.

Overall though, I love these rosters and have made my own stories around a lot of the player.

I am not sure why the contracts with options are like that. I’ve been slowly modifying those players contracts.

I think the contract issue is a glitch. I've tried to fix it but it keeps having issues.

I do agree with you about player age. At first, I thought it would be good to have players under 30 to have a longer "franchise play life span." However, I feel that the player ages must be changed a little to have some older players getting out of their prime. You know... more nba accurate.

I may either edit age, contract, etc. or I will create more older stars and replace the players I choose. I'm not fully decided yet.

I think it is a glitch as well.

I think the option for 6 more squads to expand to 36 teams would be cool.

Re: PS4 From the Ashes: Tim's Fictional Nba 2k19 Roster

Changing those ages might also change the dynamic of the league for those who have a smaller window versus those who don’t. For example, right now the timberwolves (nba version) have 2 over 90 players (the Shaq guy who is 7ft 300lbs) which are both 25 or 26 years old meaning that they will have a dynasty for about 5-7 seasons. That’s fine but yeah having an old superstar who could have only 1-2 seasons left would change the dynamic.

The contract glitch really only affects mygm, I could change on myleague but I don’t play myleague with these rosters because I like the uncertainty that mygm brings in those space.

I tell you who is an absolute beast though, Zhi Zhi Zhu. He’s what Yao Ming could have been.

An example of an old vet looking for a new team is Pope (I think the first name is Julius) who is a 34 year old big man rated 79 with 2 years left at $20m. If you made him 86 overall how would that change both his team and his value in trades? Right now he’s really easy to trade for, which is tempting but he’s just not good enough even though he’s got these amazing badges like champ DNA and work ethic.

Man, I can’t believe how I’m understanding this roster and the individual players.

Another guy I like is Dante Carr, I don’t know who your inspiration was for him but he’s unstoppable.

My aim was to make every player to have an individual purpose with every team and to not take shortcuts. I originally had some of the stars over the age of 30 yrs, but decided to change them. I even had a list of other older players that were stars and decided not to use them and only have them left over on my HD. Dante Carr is inspired to me as an undersized Kobe/Harden hybrid. Albeit, completely original and not a copy of any player.

It's very cool that you see the individually of each player. It took months to make and a ton of long nights without a social life.

Oh you’ve got no idea. Every player plays kind of differently, like donyell woolridge the shaq clone is unstoppable, Washburn in Atlanta loves his fade-aways in the post, there’s a guy called augmon on Atlanta too that is extremely aggressive and runs around like Steph, it’s really an amazing little fictional world.

Re: PS4 From the Ashes: Tim's Fictional Nba 2k19 Roster

Another question, has anyone played with these rosters past the first season? I’m coming up to the end of my first season in mygm and noticing that there are hardly any teams with cap space in 19-20 (max cap space is $30m, a few others hover around $12-18m).

Yet, there are a bunch of stars who are free agents. Byron Dantley, Henderson, Uwahwah. Yet none of those players have any bird rights so their respective teams, who have no cap space, can’t sign them at all.

I checked on the roster edits and there is no way to add bird rights to a player (maybe it’s in a different spot than contract settings but I couldn’t see). Therefore I’m concerned now with what might unfold in the off-season.

There are maybe 6 players who are mid 80 rated and above, all in their prime (25-26 years old roughly) who may have zero teams able to offer them max contracts.

So has anyone simulated this? If it doesn’t turn out properly or they can’t get signed, then I’m going to recommend to you Leo, that you adjust some of the contracts across the board to teams who clearly are looking at being free agent players, and maybe limiting the amount of ‘stars’ who are on short term deals so that they can build up at least early bird rights (e.g. 2 years plus a player option) to maybe 1-3 in the first season so there is a robust free agency but also some competition.

All upcoming FA's sign with teams. Some stay with the original team and some venture off. However, I will look at editing the contracts if teams that are "tanking" for the future. Like I said on page 1 "some teams just have bad contracts. " Just like real life.

I just simmed to the next season and Dantley and Uwahwah sign max deals with other teams (which is good because they are the top free agents - 90 overall). The other top free agents sign 1 year deals at around $12-15m which I suppose is okay.

Fast forward and looking at the cap space available the following season and many teams have a bunch of space so it looks like that free agency will be a little different and more dynamic.

However, I still might go back and change some of the contracts just because of the player option glitch and how bird rights are affected by the game too.

Still loving this roster! Thanks again, Leo!

A couple quick questions to help me get the most out of the myleague experience:

                                1. How do you guys play? Do you control 1 team or the entire fictional universe? I’m considering the latter. However, I’m trying to figure out how to best get it done. If I play 1 game a week with a different team, that’s 29 games a season. Then the playoffs. Or would it be better to get totally invested in 1 team?

                                2. Do you guys play with the roster as is or do a fantasy draft? I’ve always done fantasy draft. Now, I’m wondering if I’m missing the purpose of how Leo created each team.
