Graham in a Few Words: “Lost in the Lawson hype is a great two way player ready to break out”
Looking a Little Deeper: DeMarco Graham got lost in all of the Jeremiah Lawson and Kentucky Wildcat hype throughout the season but for those who were really paying attention, they saw a quiet young man emerge as a great player that has the potential to be a star in the league. DeMarco Graham began the year struggling to score but he has developed a decent shot. He still looks a little unsure of himself driving to the bucket but he can work on that. Graham shines as a defender and is skilled enough to be a team’s best on ball defender from day one. He is also a great rebounder at the two or three and is only going to get better with time.
Notable Relationships: Graham is apparently great friendswith incoming freshman and the #10 overall high school prospect PF Justice Gentry. According to Gentry, Graham played a part in his decision to go to Kansas. Graham stated that he would have liked to stay and play a year with Gentry but could not pass up the opportunity to declare for the draft and provide for his mother, fiancé and young son.

Who is Zy Wallace: Zy Wallace is a guy that a casual fan probably wouldn’t expect to be a lottery pick. This might be the guy that gets booed if their favorite team selects them in the top 10. The truth of the matter is that Zy Wallace is a really polished player that isn’t spectacular anywhere but can contribute now and potentially became a key piece on a championship team.
Notable Relationships: Wallace is another guy that is never in any trouble and seems to get along with everyone. Wallace has no notable relationships to speak of but I have every reason to believe that he will be a good addition to any team on the court and in the locker room.

Who is Tacari Carpenter: I talked a bit about Carpenter a bit when we looked into Isaiah Morgan so you know he is a national champion. To keep it simple, he is big, strong and scary. He also has a nice go to 20 foot jumper and he has been consistent in the post. A guy like this should be top 5 right? Well, Carpenter hasn’t necessarily been super excited about playing defense and it is the reason he has been left out of the top 5. Well that and the fact that he may struggle to keep up with the increased pace of the current NBA. Either way, he will be a force if you get the ball to him down low.
Notable Relationships: This is more of a rehash of what was said in Isaiah Morgan’s relationship section but he is close friends with Morgan and Taryn Washington but MAY be on bad terms with teammate Treshawn McAlister who decided to go back to Kentucky.

8) PG Sean Matthews/ Sophomore/Oregon 6’7” 209
Prospect Grade: 88.8/ B+
Who is Sean Matthews: Sean Matthews started his sophomore season a little shaky but finished strong. He averaged 15.8 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Matthews obviously has great size and is very versatile with the ability to play 3 positions. He isn’t as athletic as some of the other guards in the lottery but his size, versatile skill set and potential to possibly be a starter at the 1, 2 or 3 for a team may be hard for someone to pass up here at number 8.
Notable Relationships: Matthews had one of the better backcourts in the country alongside freshman 2 guard La’Darius Brees. There isn’t much know about the two’s relationship off the court but they played really well together on the court. Brees declared for the draft as well and is projected as a late 2nd rounder.

9) C LeAndre Fitzgerald/ Sophomore/Cincinnati 6’11” 258
Prospect Grade: 88.7/ B+
Who is LeAndre Fitzgerald: LeAndre Fitzgerald wasn’t supposed to be here… and I mean that in a bad way. Early on, I would have thought that Fitzgerald would have been a top 3 pick but he gradually slipped with his two years in college. Now with that being said, he isn’t a bad player at all. Quite the opposite. The bad is well documented as he struggles offensively and struggles with his attitude. He has had some issues with coaches and controlling his temper. Fortunately, his ability on the defensive end makes it all worth it. He is a paint protector with quick hands that can cause turnovers and defend forwards on the perimeter.
Notable Relationships: Fitzgerald has a ton of opponents that I’m sure don’t like him. He was able to really get into the head of UCLA freshman center Devalon Lewis and has a beef with Ohio State sophomore Zeke Ogunride that goes all the way back to high school. With that being said, Fitzgerald’s teammate junior F Stevie Calhoun (returning for his senior season) loves Fitzgerald and thinks he is “one of the best teammates you can ask for”.

10) SG Alejandro Kielbasa/ Sophomore/Georgetown 6’8” 225
Prospect Grade: 87.9/ B
Who is Alejandro Kielbasa: Kielbasa really took off as a sophomore once they put the ball in his hand more frequently at Georgetown and he showed to be a really capable offensive player. After averaging more than 17 points last year, the big, athletic wing player decided to declare for the draft. Kielbasa is one of the more polished players in my opinion that has been consistent throughout his young career. Although he hasn’t shown much flashes of being a potential star, he seems like one of the safer picks in the lottery.
Notable Relationships: Kielbasa is as safe of a character guy as he is safe on the court. He’s actually very quiet and is very involved in church. His teammate, freshman center Ledante Winter stated “I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but he didn’t really get himself involved in a lot of off the court activities with us. He was always there if we needed someone to talk to but he just ain’t about that life. He’s a good dude”.

11) SF Derek Ambrosius/ Freshman/Florida 6’9” 229
Prospect Grade: 87.6/ B
Who is Derek Ambrosius: Here is another guy that fell down the rankings a bit. As a top three rated high school player coming into college, there was an expectation that he would develop into one of those superstar prospects. Not to say that won’t happen but it didn’t take very long to see that Ambrosius wasn’t exactly the superstar that his ranking may have suggested. Now, Derek is a very good basketball player. He may be top five as far as being NBA Ready. He excels in a lot of non-flashy areas of the game. He’s a hustler, good passer, very good defender but he was a very inconsistent shooter and struggled to create his own shot. Time will tell what he becomes but he can really contribute as a major player off the bench right now in my opinion.
Notable Relationships: Derek Ambrosius has a great relationship with the two other big men that Gator fans referred to as the “three amigos”. Ambrosius, Florida freshman F Jeremiah Robinson and sophomore Da’Leon Allen (the latter two returned to school) said at the beginning of the year that they wanted to be known at this modern day version of Corey Brewer, Al Horford and Joakim Noah. Unfortunately, these three weren’t able to win a championship like those three but they did make it to the Elite 8 so they’ll have a place in Gator history.

12) PG Cameron Avaloy/ Senior/Purdue 6’0” 173
Prospect Grade: 87.3/ B
Who is Cameron Avaloy: Well for starters he was the player of the year averaging 20.6 points, 5.6 assists and 2.8 steals. Avaloy is one of those guys that just doesn’t look like he should be a professional athlete until you see him step on the court and do it. Avaloy is lightning fast with a killer first step and a great jump shot. He also developed into a very good distributor as time went on and his responsibilities increased at Purdue. Now that I’m done raving about Avaloy, let’s talk about why he isn’t a top 10 player. Well, for starters, he is only 6’0 and some say that’s being generous. He has good footwork as a defender but he’s going to get bullied by most guards in the league. Also, many scouts believe he isn’t going to be much better than what he has already showed. Personally, I think 12 is a great spot for him and who knows…. Maybe he will prove the doubters wrong yet again.
Notable Relationships: Cameron Avaloy seems to be well respected around the nation in general but none more than Jeremiah Lawson. When people tried to dismiss Avaloy as player of the year in favor of the young phenom Jeremiah Lawson, Lawson was one of the first ones to hit Twitter and point out his impressive accomplishments and why he was worthy of the award. I wouldn’t say these two are friends but there definitely seems to be some competitive respect between the two.

13) Romantay Bell/ Senior/USC 7’2” 277
Prospect Grade: 87.2/ B
Who is Romantay Bell: The second team All American was the clear leader of the USC Trojans this past year. Bell is a guy that has been around the block and seen it all as far as a college b-ball player and has honestly ben punished for staying in school all four years. He went from a top 5 pick to a top 10 pick to now a top 15 pick. For what it’s worth, Bell is a great post player that will never shy away from contact. He is a physical defender and should have no problem wearing out defenders. He lacks the athleticism that some of the other players in this class possess but I think a post presence and that toughness makes him worth it here.
Notable Relationships: Romantay Bell has been the tough “big brother” to two of this year’s second round prospects Jr. SG Jawill Weaver and Sophomore PG Eric Brown. He has been seen yelling and being a little hard on the young men while at USC but the two guards have nothing but positive things to say about him.

14) Marco Modena/18 Years Old/Italy 6’8” 216
Prospect Grade: 86.1/ B
Who is Marco Modena: Marco is one of those kids that was just born with the basketball gene apparently. He didn’t start getting serious until he was 15 years old but he immediately garnered attention. Modena has surprisingly athletic and isn’t your “typical foreign” player. He can get up and down the court with today’s NBA players and he always seems to find himself in the paint pulling down boards on both ends of the court. He is a bit inconsistent on the offensive end but the 18 year old has the tools to be a starter in the league for a while.
Notable Relationships: Has had battles with two of Italy’s top guards. Both SG Vinnie Falcone and PG Sergio Moya are 18 years old but not declaring for the draft this year. I expect Falcone to be a first rounder when he declares and Moya is looking like a future second rounder.

15) Bernard Joubert/19 Years Old/France 7’0” 244
Prospect Grade: 84.4/ B-
A Quick Look at Bernard Joubert: I’m not saying that the rest of the class is “bad” at all but this is definitely the point where the talent starts to decrease. Not a lot is known about Joubert but he is a decent all around player that has shown that he is solid in the fundamentals department. He is probably ready to crack a line up off the bench right away but I’m afraid that his ceiling may not be that high.

16) Austin Freeman/Junior/Milwaukee 6’7” 223
Prospect Grade: 84.1/ B -
A Quick Look at Austin Freeman: Austin Freeman was supposed to play in the Big Ten at Wisconsin but he got arrested and they pulled his scholarship. After that, he was forgot about by a lot of the country. Trouble with the law didn’t slow Freeman down once he finally got settled at Milwaukee. Freeman really turned it on as a sophomore but cemented himself as one of the best scorers in college basketball averaging 26.2 points per game. After a 48 point game in the tournament and a trip to the Final Four, he shot up some boards. Still needs to improve defense but his offense are hard to deny. Freeman maintained a friendship with another big Wisconsin recruit three years ago, PF Jacob DiNicola. DiNicola says that Freeman should be a top ten prospect. DiNicola is returning back to school and will be eligible for the draft next year

17) Jaxon Gee/Sophomore/Arizona State 6’11” 2207
Prospect Grade: 83.1/ C+
A Quick Look at Jaxon Gee: Jaxon Gee is known in college for a lot of the wrong reasons. He has never seen a challenge that he wasn’t willing to accept. Almost every Devils game consisted of him being held back by one of his teammates (usually by sophomore SG Tommy Winston) telling him to calm down. With that being said, he should be known for his extremely consistent play on the court and his averages of 15 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Gee is a great athlete that needs to put on more muscle and actually show the willingness to improve as a player. I still think he can be a good pick up in the late teens.

18) Donavin DeForest/Junior/South Carolina 6’5” 194
Prospect Grade: 82.6/ C+
A Quick Look at Donavin DeForest: I’ll start off by saying that DeForest is hella exciting to watch on the court. His strength comes from his ability to score when he gets to the rim. He is creative, crafty and just always finds a way to get the ball in the basket. A couple of issues with DeForest though. First, it’s one thing to be gifted once you get to the basket but you still have to be able to get there. He has trouble doing that at times turning the ball over and often times just looking a little timid. In addition to that, he went down with a shoulder injury during the season and his shot has been a little off since then. He is still going to be a contributor off the bench but he is going to have to do some work to become more than an occasional starter in this league.

A Quick Look at Mia Baptiste: Baptiste is a young man that has been hovering around as a mid to late first rounder for a while now. Baptiste was expected to jump up the board a little higher but he honestly was outshined a bit by freshman PF Leyshawn Hall. With Hall emerging as more of the “go to guy”, Baptiste’s production slowed. With that being said, you still can’t deny his athleticism and because of that, I don’t think he is a big risk at all right here.

A Quick Look at Eugene Darrigade: I expected Darigade to be a lottery guy but he struggled a bit late in his season. Darrigade dropped because he isn’t really ready to be a starter in the league and it appears that he may already be close to his ceiling as a player. With that being said, Darrigade is a shooter and he can get hot when he gets opportunities. It can’t hurt to draft him for some instant offense if you are drafting at this spot.

21) King Morlock/Junior/Illinois 6’8” 230

A Quick Look at King Morlock: King Morlock became a household name after his 23 point performance in the final four and he is quite popular amongst the fans. To be honest, Morlock may not truly be a first round prospect so he did the right thing striking while the iron is hot and declaring for the draft. At the moment, Morlock is going to bring you a consistent three point shooter. Unfortunately, he lacks the athleticism to beat many NBA SFs off the trouble and he isn’t strong enough to really compete with bigger forwards so at the moment, Morlock’s strength is going to come from being ready to drop bombs after a kick out.

22) Jose Zambrano/19 Years Old/Spain 6’4” 196

A Quick Look at Jose Zambrano: Jose Zambrano is a name that many scouts have been talking about throughout the year. Unfortunately, a benching for “conduct detrimental to the team” on his team in Spain caused some red flags. Zambrano has continued to state that this has all been a “big miscommunication” but we saw what we saw. Whatever happened off the court was clearly an issue when it comes to production on the court. With that being said, Zambrano has shown the ability to cause turnovers and he actually likes to play defense. Zambrano may be a bit of a project but I think in the right situation he could develop into a solid starter in the league.

23) Aaron Johnson/Sophomore/Washington State 6’7” 221

A Quick Look at Aaron Johnson: Aaron Johnson is another one of those guys that was a late second rounder at the beginning of the year but jumped into the first round due to his athleticism, great workouts and impressive play late in the season. U of Washington freshman SG Andrew Avery said that Johnson has “really been slept on”. What I was really impressed with after watching his tape was his ability to handle the rock. I don’t know if he has what it takes to really make an impact but he may be able to make a bit of a splash in the right lineup.

24) Tuvone Green/Freshman/Ohio State State 6’5” 206

A Quick Look at Tuvone Green: Tuvone Green’s stat line is a little misleading. Actually, just a part of it is. He averaged 2.8 steals per game which was good for 4th in the entire nation. He is damn good at anticipating passes and playing passing lanes. He also averaged 15 points per game but I have to tell you that he was not very efficient at all. Their other star freshman Antonio Milenese was injured for a large portion of the season and Green just had the green light to chuck it up. Green isn’t ready to be THE guy on any team and maybe not even crack a lineup so he will struggle to find a place in the league. However, if he is patient and if a team is patient with him, he may grow into a 15 to 18 point per night guy.

25) Eric Romenesko/Senior/Western Kentucky 6’10” 238
Prospect Grade: 81.6/ C
A Quick Look at Eric Romenesko: Romenesko is a pretty one dimensional guy, but damn is he good in that one dimension. Romenesko finished third in the nation in scoring averaging 25.3 points per game and the biggest reason for that is his ability to shoot the rock. He isn’t very good in the paint, he isn’t a very reliable defender but if you need someone to stretch the floor and be a real threat to drop 15 on any given night if he is given the opportunities, here is your guy.

26) Jabril Nyangacaha/Freshman/Michigan 6’9” 234
Prospect Grade: 80.8/ C
A Quick Look at Jabril Nyangacaha: For those of you that follow the high school ranks, you know that Jabril was a five star prospect and the 19th overall prospect coming out of high school. Unfortunately, Jabril’s lack of discipline and refusal to follow team rules led to him being asked to leave the team by his OWN teammates. He agreed to do so after only a 16 game career at Michigan and entered the draft. Nyangacaha is a small forward that has the strength and post moves of a traditional big man. He currently has too many holes in his game to really get heavy minutes right now but he is still a five-star talent that has the potential to be a starter in my opinion.

27) DeValon Lewis/Freshman/UCLA 7’0” 259
Prospect Grade: 80.7/ C
A Quick Look at DeValon Lewis: This guy right here is my “boom or bust” guy. I know that a lot of you don’t think that a guy drafted at 27 can be a bust but the thing about Lewis is that his current skill level is so far away from where I think he CAN be that this can either be a dumb pick or a genius pick. At the moment, Lewis will probably sit on the bench and barely get any meaningful minutes. He isn’t ready for it at all. His ceiling however…? Well I think that Lewis could potentially be an All Star in the league but that’s just my opinion. It’ll be interested to see if he gets drafted earlier than expected or if he falls into the second round.

28) C Monte Nelson/ Freshman/ Texas A&M 6’11” 255

A Quick Look at Monte Nelson: Although Lewis and Nelson are different players with different playstyles, I feel like it’s necessary to compare them since they have the same grade. Nelson is better fundamentally than Lewis with more range and a better post game but he doesn’t quite have the upside that Lewis has. Nelson will struggle to rise above the bottom of the bench this year but I think he can become a solid contributor in the future.

29) PF Vincent Dobrovsky/ 19 Years Old/ Czech Republic 6’10” 221
Prospect Grade: 80.5/ C
A Quick Look at Vincent Dobrovsky: Dobrovsky is one of the more interesting prospects in the draft this year. He is a 6’10 guy listed as a PF, built like a SF and that plays like he is a guard. Apparently, Dobrovsky was a guard as a younger teenager and hit a crazy unexpected growth spurt. He has attempted to learn to play at the 3 or the 4 but he has struggled and just hasn’t looked comfortable. Because of that, he isn’t ready to be on the floor because he won’t be comfortable and isn’t skilled enough to play those positions but he is another guy that I think has the potential to really be special if he is put in the right situation and gets the attention and training that he needs.

30) PG Tyson Lee/ Freshman/ Connecticut 6’2” 182
Prospect Grade: 80.5/ C
A Quick Look at Tyson Lee: Tyson Lee came to Connecticut as a five-star recruit and the number nine prospect overall. Lee has been and is still praised for his amazing ability to find the open man and make the right pass to the right guy. Because of that, he led the nation in assists last year as a freshman and also averaged 14 points a game. He is a late first or early second round prospect due to the fact that he lacks the size and athleticism that would have made him a lottery pick. He also leaves a bit to be desired on the defensive end as evident by Lee getting absolutely scorched by Ade Kacour in the tournament. Lee is good but I can’t foresee any situation where he is a star in this league.

Who is Romantay Bell: The second team All American was the clear leader of the USC Trojans this past year. Bell is a guy that has been around the block and seen it all as far as a college b-ball player and has honestly ben punished for staying in school all four years. He went from a top 5 pick to a top 10 pick to now a top 15 pick. For what it’s worth, Bell is a great post player that will never shy away from contact. He is a physical defender and should have no problem wearing out defenders. He lacks the athleticism that some of the other players in this class possess but I think a post presence and that toughness makes him worth it here.
Notable Relationships: Romantay Bell has been the tough “big brother” to two of this year’s second round prospects Jr. SG Jawill Weaver and Sophomore PG Eric Brown. He has been seen yelling and being a little hard on the young men while at USC but the two guards have nothing but positive things to say about him.

14) Marco Modena/18 Years Old/Italy 6’8” 216
Prospect Grade: 86.1/ B
Who is Marco Modena: Marco is one of those kids that was just born with the basketball gene apparently. He didn’t start getting serious until he was 15 years old but he immediately garnered attention. Modena has surprisingly athletic and isn’t your “typical foreign” player. He can get up and down the court with today’s NBA players and he always seems to find himself in the paint pulling down boards on both ends of the court. He is a bit inconsistent on the offensive end but the 18 year old has the tools to be a starter in the league for a while.
Notable Relationships: Has had battles with two of Italy’s top guards. Both SG Vinnie Falcone and PG Sergio Moya are 18 years old but not declaring for the draft this year. I expect Falcone to be a first rounder when he declares and Moya is looking like a future second rounder.

15) Bernard Joubert/19 Years Old/France 7’0” 244
Prospect Grade: 84.4/ B-
A Quick Look at Bernard Joubert: I’m not saying that the rest of the class is “bad” at all but this is definitely the point where the talent starts to decrease. Not a lot is known about Joubert but he is a decent all around player that has shown that he is solid in the fundamentals department. He is probably ready to crack a line up off the bench right away but I’m afraid that his ceiling may not be that high.

16) Austin Freeman/Junior/Milwaukee 6’7” 223
Prospect Grade: 84.1/ B -
A Quick Look at Austin Freeman: Austin Freeman was supposed to play in the Big Ten at Wisconsin but he got arrested and they pulled his scholarship. After that, he was forgot about by a lot of the country. Trouble with the law didn’t slow Freeman down once he finally got settled at Milwaukee. Freeman really turned it on as a sophomore but cemented himself as one of the best scorers in college basketball averaging 26.2 points per game. After a 48 point game in the tournament and a trip to the Final Four, he shot up some boards. Still needs to improve defense but his offense are hard to deny. Freeman maintained a friendship with another big Wisconsin recruit three years ago, PF Jacob DiNicola. DiNicola says that Freeman should be a top ten prospect. DiNicola is returning back to school and will be eligible for the draft next year

17) Jaxon Gee/Sophomore/Arizona State 6’11” 2207

A Quick Look at Jaxon Gee: Jaxon Gee is known in college for a lot of the wrong reasons. He has never seen a challenge that he wasn’t willing to accept. Almost every Devils game consisted of him being held back by one of his teammates (usually by sophomore SG Tommy Winston) telling him to calm down. With that being said, he should be known for his extremely consistent play on the court and his averages of 15 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Gee is a great athlete that needs to put on more muscle and actually show the willingness to improve as a player. I still think he can be a good pick up in the late teens.

A Quick Look at Nathan Washington: Nathan Washington is an interesting prospect. Washington was the clear leader on a Houston team that wasn’t very good overall but was pretty exciting to watch. Washington was such an intelligent and dynamic passer that he finished in the top 20 in assists in the nation with 5.8 per game for the year. He needs to work on getting more confidence in his scoring ability but I feel like he is a worthy pick for the top of the second.

32) SG Leo Spiridaki/ 18 Years Old/ Greece 6’5” 206

Prospect Grade: 80.4/ C
A Quick Look at Leo Spiridaki: The youngster from Greece almost killed his draft stock when during an interview he said “I just play ball for fun… nothing serious”. Not something you want to hear from a guy you might be paying million of dollars to. Spiridaki is a good mid range shooter coming to a league that doesn’t quite value the mid range shot as much as they used to. He’s also young and has a lot to learn about the game in general but he has the skill set to turn into a solid rotation player in my eyes.

33) SG Marcus O’Day/ Freshman/ Wisconsin 6’4” 201

Prospect Grade: 80.4/ C
A Quick Look at Marcus O’Day: PF Trey Nisby (did not enter this year’s draft)was the star at Wisconsin finishing sixth in the nation in rebounds last year but O’Day was the man that put up the points for the Badgers. He averaged 17.6 points with most of them coming from behind the arc. O’Day currently is only going to be able to bring a consistent spot up shooter to the line up but I really believe that O’Day isn’t using his athleticism to the best of his ability. I feel like the kid can be a starter one day but he is a second rounder due to his lack of “NBA Ready Skill”.

34) C Bishop Black/ Sophomore/ Rutgers 6’11” 243

Prospect Grade: 80.4/ C
A Quick Look at Bishop Black: Bishop Black had a much better sophomore campaign averaging 14.9 point and 6 rebounds per game but he still has a long way to go before he is ready to crack an NBA lineup. Bishop is a high second round prospect because his growth from year 1 to year 2 in college shows that he still has some room to grow and his shooting ability is already impressive enough to put him on a roster.

35) PF Taryn Washington/ Freshman/ Kentucky 6’10” 241

Prospect Grade: 80.2/ C
A Quick Look at Taryn Washington: The forgotten member of the “four horsemen” freshmen of Kentucky. Not only is he the least talented but he is also probably the quietest as well. Taryn is a good kid that you won’t have any behavior issues out of. He is a hard worker and he likes to play defense. His biggest strength is actually his ability and willingness to defend the post. He finished 18<sup>th</sup> in the nation with 2.4 blocks per game but he leaves quite a bit to be desired on the offensive end. He showed some flashes at Kentucky but his season high was only 14 points and 7 of those were from the free throw line.

36) SG Jawill Weaver/ Junior/ USC 6’6” 196

Prospect Grade: 80./ C
A Quick Look at Jawill Weaver: Everybody talks about the Kentucky big three that entered the draft but USC had three big prospects as well. Jawill Weaver played alongside Center Romantay Bell and PG Eric Brown (we’ll get to him in a few picks) but their relationship wasn’t as… nice as the Kentucky fellas. Weaver and Brown reportedly had some issues with one another on the court. Eric Brown is a very savvy PG with a high IQ that requires the ball in his hands to make things happen. Weaver wanted to be the ball dominant backcourt guy. The combination worked at times but other times it was an obvious mess. For what it’s worth, Weaver can handle the rock and get to the basket but his shooting percentage was disappointing and he disappeared at times. We will see if he can carve out a place for himself in the pros.

37) PG Michael Anderson/ Sophomore/ Miami 6’2” 169

Prospect Grade: 79.8./ C-
A Quick Look at Michael Anderson: Anderson has two big things going against him. For starters, Anderson played on a team that I believe has two future lottery picks in Freshman PF Jesus Cuba and sophomore SG Rico Vazquez (neither declared for the draft this year). In addition to that, he injured his ankle and he struggled when he returned. For what it’s worth, Anderson still showed that he has the speed and quickness that stood out and made him an NBA prospect but if things played out a little differently, he may have been a first round prospect.

38) PG Sammy Lee/ Senior/ BYU 6’3” 210

Prospect Grade: 79.7/ C-
A Quick Look at Sammy Lee: Every year you have an older player that the fanbase really falls in love with. Sometimes, that guy has an impressive tournament and the other casuals start to say his name and next thing you know, they are calling him a first rounder. Lee is one of those players and NO, he isn’t a first round guy but YES he is still a good player that can contribute. He averaged over 6 assists per game last year and finished top 10 in that category. He isn’t creative enough around the rim or an accurate enough passer to challenge anyone for a starting spot but he is still a prospect that can slide into a rotation in the right situation.

39) SG Devin Rogers/ Freshman/ Duke 6’5” 201

A Quick Look at Devin Rogers: The young guard had some academic and behavior problems as a senior in high school but looked to have it all figured out when he came to Duke as the 17<sup>th</sup> rated incoming freshman. Things didn’t go quite as planned for the youngster as he looked out of place as he struggled to transition from high school to the ACC grind. Even with that struggle, he is still a five star prospect with speed, ball handling and an ability to finish at the rim. I think he has the potential to be a solid contributor.

40) PG Eric Brown/ Sophomore/ USC 6’2” 190

A Quick Look at Eric Brown: We already talked about Eric Brown a bit but I’ll say again that he was a member of his own little “Big Three” with Jawill Weaver and Romantay Bell. Brown is honestly a very good point guard but his biggest weakness is something that will be glaring once he gets to the league… his lack of athleticism. I’m hoping that he finds a way around it and can find a place for himself in the league but it’s going to be hard work.

41) PG John Harris/ Sophomore/ Nevada 6’3” 216

Prospect Grade: 79.0/ C-
A Quick Look at John Harris: I have to admit that I was very impressed with the season that Harris had. By looking at the stat sheet you can tell he was a “do it all” type of guy finishing with 13 points, 3.9 assists and 6.1 rebounds. He is a physical point guard but he did get torched quite a few times last year and got REALLY exposed against Tyson Lee for Connecticut. Can’t hurt to spend a mid 2<sup>nd</sup> on him to see what you can get from him.

42) PF Joey Collins/ Junior/ Clemson 6’11” 204

Prospect Grade: 78.8/ C-
A Quick Look at Joey Collins: Collins is absolutely not ready for the league. He doesn’t really have a position. He’s weaker than most forwards and doesn’t have the lateral quickness to defend guards but he does have a 6’11 frame and can get up and down the court with the best of them. One game, I saw him catch a rebound mid air with little to no effort and throw it back down over a Florida State defender. That clip alone may have made him draftable.

43) PF Antonio Domingo/ 19 Years Old/ Spain 6’10” 237

Prospect Grade: 78.7/ C-
A Quick Look at Antonio Domingo: Domingo’s tape shows clear as day that he can shoot the hell out of the rock and we always love that for our big men. The problem is that it didn’t show much else and when it did, it didn’t look very impressive. Appears to be very average to below average in most other areas but if you need a shooter…. Why the hell not.

44) C George Poulos/ 18 Years Old/ Greece 7’2” 245

Prospect Grade: 78.7/ C-
A Quick Look at Greg Poulos: There’s a lot of different opinions on Poulos. Some people love his potential and think that he will definitely grow into a solid rotation guy and others think he’s a stiff that doesn’t know how to move and never will. I’m actually somewhere in the middle… I’ll let you figure out how you feel about him.

45) SF Demaris Brooks/ Senior/ Bethune-Cookman 6’9” 218

Prospect Grade: 78.4/ C-
A Quick Look at Demaris Brooks: This is one of those picks that I recommend solely for the fact that every game, there is a chance that he will do something amazing and that alone might get butts in seats. I can honestly say that I have never seen this young man lose a dunk contest and if he gets drafted he may get the opportunity to defend that title. He isn’t a consistent shooter, he has some turnover issues and he is a spotty defender but that guy can get up and above the rim with the best of them.

46) PG Trey Ganzer/ Senior/ LIU-Brooklyn 6’1” 170

Prospect Grade: 78.3/ C-
A Quick Look at Trey Ganzer: If we are being honest, Ganzer is a bit of a of a one year wonder. Finished with 12.8 points and 3.6 assists but more importantly he averaged 2.74 steals per game which was good for 7<sup>th</sup> in the nation last year. Good at anticipating and playing passing lanes so he can help a team in that area.

47) SF Moses Jordheim/ Junior/ North Carolina 6’10” 208

Prospect Grade: 78.1/ C-
A Quick Look at Moses Jordheim: Amazing athlete that came to UNC as a top 40 high school prospect. His story is a bit of a disappointing one as he came with a lot of hype and expectation and he unfortunately just didn’t live up to the hype. He went from a potential first rounder to a late second rounder in two years. He’s still a great athlete but just too many holes in his overall game to be a first round prospect.

48) PF Brandon Parks/ Junior/ Michigan 7’0” 216

Prospect Grade: 78.0/ C-
A Quick Look at Brandon Parks: If you haven’t noticed, the late 2<sup>nd</sup> has been home to a lot of athletic big men that don’t really have much to claim outside of athleticism. Parks is another one of those guys that had a lot of YoutTube hype as a 4 star recruit but never averaged more than 11 points or 6 rebounds in his three years at Michigan. He has shown some flashes with some Sportscenter worthy blocks but it seems like he just lacks the determination to get better. We’ll see what happens when he gets to the league.

49) C Dogus Buyukaycan/ 20 Years Old/ Turkey 6’11” 246

Prospect Grade: 78.0/ C-
A Quick Look at Dogus Buyukaycan: We are starting to get to the guys that no one has ever heard of from all the way across the globe. Tape on this young man shows that he has exceptional speed and quickness for a big man. He has some potential to be a decent NBA player at best but there is a chance that he could just end up being a wasted draft pick that never really sees the court.

50) SG Bryson Draka/ Junior/ Utah State 6’6” 217

Prospect Grade: 77.9/ D+
A Quick Look at Bryson Draka: Let me tell you… I love a guy that knows what he is bringing to the table and Draka knows. He is a defender and you won’t catch him trying to do more than that. Even as the best player on his college team, he was still only the 3<sup>rd</sup> leading scorer. Draka could have probably been a late first rounder if he had a better all around offensive game but I think Draka is who we think he is and that’s a defender that can come in and make it difficult for an opposing team’s wing player.

51) SF Tyrone Robbins/ Sophomore/ Colorado 6’8” 214

Prospect Grade: 77.7/ D+
A Quick Look at Tyrone Robbins: Everybody knew that Robbins was a good athlete but he started to finally show some ability to finish at the rim and scouts started to take notice. For what it’s worth, Robbins wasn’t even considered a pro prospect last year so I can respect him for cashing in on the buzz in the hopes of hearing his name called at some point in the second.

52) PG Matt Keane/ Junior/ Missouri 6’3” 174

Prospect Grade: 77.6/ D+
A Quick Look at Matt Keane: Matt Keane is one of the better ball handlers available in the draft and has a bunch of highlights as a Tiger of just that. He is also is deceptively fast as well but his lack of accuracy and vision with his passes really hurt him in this draft process. He performed disappointingly in his final games at Missouri and to be honest, I think he could have benefited from returning to school.

53) C Andrei Yakolev/ 20 Years Old/ Russia 6’11” 283

Prospect Grade: 77.6/ D+
A Quick Look at Andrei Yakolev: Yakolev may have been a first round pick in the late 90s but in today’s game, a 283 pound center is not as important. Now, the fact that he has a very smooth and consistent mid range jumper is a big plus but my fear is that he won’t necessarily be able to keep up with the speed of the game. He already looks slow on tape with inferior athletes so what is he going to do when he gets over here and plays with the best athletes in the world. There is some team that may be able to make it work but I’m not sure.

54) SG La’Darius Brees/ Freshman/ Oregon 6’4” 209

Prospect Grade: 77.6/ D+
A Quick Look at La’Darius Brees: Brees came in as a five star prospect playing along side sophomore Sean Matthews and was supposed to make the Oregon Ducks championship contenders…. It didn’t work that way. Brees basically disappeared in Mattthew’s shadow so it would have made ALL THE SENSE IN THE WORLD for him to return to school since the team would be his next year with Matthews declaring but nope… he decided to declare. Bad move in my decision. What we do know is that he is a good finisher at the rim but he struggles to get there. He is fast but he’s not quick. He just doesn’t have the right combination to make him the first rounder we thought he could be coming out of high school.

55) SG Gergely Kodaly/ 20 Years Old/ Hungary 6’6” 215

Prospect Grade: 77.5/ D+
A Quick Look at Gergely Kodaly: He doesn’t have a lot going for him compared to many of the other prospects we have already talked about but you know the league loves those Euros with good size that can shoot the rock. That’s this guy but he isn’t going to give you much else.

56) PF T.D. Pupungatoa/ Sophomore/ Ole Miss 6’9” 261

Prospect Grade: 77.4/ D+
A Quick Look at T.D. Pupungatoa: He’s a 260 forward that likes to dribble the rock and take it to the hoop. Sound impressive? Well, it’s not as nice as it sounds and can actually be a bit problematic. Of course we would like for our PFs to have that extra dimension to their game but unfortunately it’s the dimension that he feels most comfortable with and he is not efficient or effective enough for it to make him a top prospect.

57) SF Issac Cofield/ Junior/ Iowa 6’9” 236

Prospect Grade: 77.2/ D+
A Quick Look at Issac Cofield: Issac Cofield isn’t ever going to lead a team in the pros. To be honest, he just doesn’t have the skillset for it. Cofield is the kid that every coach wants on his team because he scraps and he fights and he’s going to get every loose ball that you aren’t willing to get. Cofield is one of the better rebounders available at the forward position and that’s how he got most of his points in his college career. If you need a scrapper on your squad late in the second, this is the perfect guy for you.

58) PF Vincas Gutauskas/ 18 Years Old/ Lithuania 6’11” 227

Prospect Grade: 77.2/ D+
A Quick Look at Vincas Gutauskas: He’s impressive for an 18 year old but not impressive enough to crack a lineup in the best league in the world. What I like about Gutauskas is that he doesn’t stick out much in any area but he isn’t incredibly weak anywhere either. At the moment he is a very average player that could grow into a rotational player.

59) PF Devon Warner/ Junior/ La. Tech 6’11” 215

Prospect Grade: 77.1/ D+
A Quick Look at Devon Warner: Warner is an example of why sometimes, it is just best to leave early. Warner had an impressive sophomore campaign on the offensive and defensive end and was looking at being a high second or low 1<sup>st</sup> rounder. He struggled in his junior year and dropped right back down the rankings. He is an athlete that is a pretty good defender that is an inconsistent shooter. Not sure if he is going to get much better than he is right now.

60) PF John Armstead/ Junior/ Richmond 6’9” 245

Prospect Grade: 77.0/ D+
A Quick Look at John Armstead: I think Armstead may have gotten some bad advice declaring after his junior season because I feel like with another season under the current coaching staff and many returning teammates, he could have had an ever better year. As it stands, the Richmond native finished 25<sup>th</sup> in the nation with 9.6 rebounds per game. He can give you that all day but that may be the only think he gives you as a prospect.

Eric Brown and Romantay Bell seem like they can play together. JaWill Weaver as well damn its going to b a good draft and a hard one. My inside man is talking to Romantay and he seems ready and being in talks with his Agent as i told him we as in the Heat are looking to draft him if he is there when we pick. And are looking to trade Waiters and a pick for the top pick in the second round to get Jawill Weaver or Eric Brown..

Going with Bell for the Heat huh? I’m running with them too but thinking Avaloy would be a real nice addition to the squad unless I figure out an athletic PF I like more.

Personally I like Winslow since he can play 1-4, but he’d be my main trade bait in a move for a better pick or player since I’m not moving JRich or Bam. If you got Bell wouldn’t that be a log jam with him, Whiteside, and Bam? I struggle with Dragic which is another reason I’m targeting Avaloy.

Now that im out the blind i do like Bam so ill hope to find someone in the second round after a trade to get a C and let him grow behind the two...But it sounds like your on to something it seems like how your going about ut you will b in the hunt in three or four seasons..Ima look threw the scouting reports and see what i can find..
