Idk how I missed this post. I didn't think much about it either as I tested my first round. Noticed a couple of guys going WAYYY too low, and thought I hit random stroylines by mistake and just brushed it off, but now it makes sense. They have to patch that and I'm assuming they will. That and the not being able to see every tattoo available has been annoying.

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes
Do you know if there is a workaround for this yet? One thing I noticed in Era mode was that it was better to just load a default class when promoted but then go into the prospect scouting section and select a player, when you select a player it asks if you want to edit or even upload a new draft class. In eras mode this is the workaround to actually get a draft class working. Not sure if this might help with the random stuff that you’re seeing in your testing.Comment

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes
I hope the changes to the draft class download, specifically the random elements, don’t detract from your enjoyment of making these classes.
I bet it is frustrating as a creator who I’m sure gives consideration to every attribute point. But the core of the player: build, player potential and growth, animations, archetype, badges, playstyle all remain.
What we are left with is actually very interesting and engaging (though it is frustrating we cannot turn it off). The random elements mean that sometimes a Dwight Howard comes in with unprecedented athleticism: 90 speed, strength, vert, and 60+ speed with ball. Sometimes you get a rookie LeBron who can already shoot a decent 3.
For the people who download your classes repeatedly, we will get the benefit of occasionally running into prospects along the same line. Imagine a Denmon with even more speed, or a Carter who came off the press already a polished playmaker. A Dejon Porter coming out of college already at 95+ strength, bullying NBA centers like a true generational super freak? It wouldn’t be what you anticipated as the creator, but it would be rare and a pleasant surprise for anyone who drafted those guys. And it will allow for those sort of generational freaks to find their way into our leagues without you, the creator, feeling like you took the easy way out cranking a prospects stats up to 99 just to make an OP prospect.
Just some thoughts, because with how much work you’ve put into these I’m sure it was the cons of this change standing out to you.Comment

I also think that I have already built it in with the boom or bust system. I don't care that it's changing attributes so much, but it is throwing off the draft order significantly, which if I was just making a class, is fine. But when I'm making a scouting report, I expect most players to go within a certain range or it makes that scouting report worthless to the viewer.Comment

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes
Has to be a patch coming to fix that. Wouldn't worry too much. Still have some time before opening day. i can't see an error this blatant going past that.

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes
Putting in a ticket with 2K Support would be the best approach. Personally, I wouldn't rely on them to fix it on their own. Better to be safe than sorry. Especially with all the work Jeffruel and JB put in on their classes.Comment

We are flying with the ATD updates. Can't wait for the class drop to go along with the opening day roster. Really, really enjoy the extra immersion.

You and me both. It’s fun creating the players and seeing what MarshDaddy and JoshNorman do with them storyline wise. Hopefully the draft class bug gets patched soon so the attributes are correct.Comment

Re: Jeffruel's 2k23 Fictional Draft Classes
Once you upload a class, there is a second prompt to turn "storylines" on or off, if you edit a prospect, for that individual player, I am assuming. Have you guys tried to mess around with that to see if that would actually turn the storylines off for the whole class, or if you even had to do it for each individual? Or is that already too late into the process and the randomization of the prospects has already occurred?Comment

Sounds like the bug keeps storylines on no matter what.
