NBA 2K26 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set

    - Drive-and-Kick AI is finally here! Buuuuuut, yea they way overdid it. Don't worry, it's manageable via sliders until 2K address it.
    - Fast breaks no longer have the slow down rubber-band effect, FINALLY. Thank you 2K.
    - Fouls are way too low. As are tipped rebounds. Come on 2K, you guys NAILED this out of the box in 2K25.
    - Green or miss shooting (kinda?) with no RNG? A huge L after last year's Shot Timing Profiles were introduced (and now removed, cool...).

2K Default Roster Slider Set *BETA* - 9/8 Update

    Spoiler

Getting close to a full slider set now. Expect better defensive presence, rotations, and close-out/contest animations, as well as more fouls + a few extra blocks and turnovers. I'm also dialing in my Shot Success sliders to get rid of the annoying "Green or Miss" online-focused BS. You'll now be able to make more non-greens, but it will also be harder to green shots thanks to the Jump Shot Defense Strength buff.

PLEASE post any and all CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, positive or negative, so that I know what people like about my slider set and what I need to improve on. Also, please post any and all personal findings and/or tweaks you've tried out. Try to point out what you are seeing too much of (ex. The AI attacks the basket too often), what you're not seeing enough of (ex. The AI does not go to the post often enough), etc. And also, it's just fun to see the results everyone is getting and to have a discussion on what can be improved/what should be left alone.

I try to make my posts as informational as possible so that everyone has the knowledge needed to tweak the game to their own preference and skill level.

    Enjoy!

Nice start here bro! How' you liking the drive and kick now with these slider changes? Hopefully not to much points in the paint.

Is the body sensitivity more/less contact when you lower it to 25?

I like it a lot with these settings. And this is just the quick fix to get us back to “acceptable”, so it should only get better from here.

Contact is pretty much the same, there will just be fewer force field/brick wall animations so the game is more free flowing.

You obviously started with the hof sliders, right? You left everything at default and those in post 1 are the changes you need to make? Did you set those values for both the user and CPU?

Thanks for the reply Bro!, I tried your changes, but honestly very often the cpu attacks from the paint, resting against my defender and accordingly misses or I block him, as it was in 2k25. Back passes are still present, but I think it is programmed by the gameplay. I liked more: Offensive Awareness - 45
          Take Inside Shots - 60
and I left your dunk sliders.

            SLIDER UPDATE!

Added in my tweaks to shooting, defense, and fouls, as well as updating most of the previous sliders. Any thoughts about using real player FG% rather than timing?

They’re not on 2K Share until I’m done with the initial testing phase.

Whichever you prefer. I believe I have layup timing off though.

Nope. The game becomes a little too boring/stagnant to me if I have 0 input on shot timing. When I badly mistime a shot, I want to be punished for it. And when I perfectly time the shot, I want to be rewarded. From there we can just increase or decrease the Shot Success sliders based off how many non-greens we want to go in.

And I think the Defense Strength values posted make it pretty damn difficult to regularly green time shots unless you’re wide open. And hopefully 2K can patch back in the shot timing profiles or some other form of RNG (even just the Shot Coverage Impact slider, or maybe a slider to shrink the size of the green window further) so that wide open shots aren’t so consistently easy to green for players whose animations you’ve mastered.

Hi, I usually do my own sliders for offline play but there were years when I used yours for big part of season. This year I am glad bcs we have almost exact values in many sliders. I ended up with 80 for attempt steal and passing lines. Love that there are deflections to out of bounds. What I was not able was to achieve cpu aggresivness towards paint but you somehow nailed, well done. Had ft 16 vs 17 attempts. There still need to be adjustment from 2k to reach last years ft numbers. Most of aspects of the game are very good this year. I love 12m stats and pace of the game. Thanks for sliders and have a nice day

Thanks for the kind words! Glad to see someone else is getting decent FT numbers as well. Definitely toned down from last year, which is a huge shame as the day 1 gameplay last year was amazing as far as AI tendencies and fouls. Hopefully some patches and slider tweaks get us back to that standard.

Love this set, usually struggle to hit greens so having that wiggle room helps. First game was great both teams hovered around the 45-50% range. Rebounds turnovers and everything were great. Really good defense. All around great set.

Big fan of last years slides. Here's what I noticed with the beta

Not catching kickout passes too often

Unbalanced 3 point freq: cpu can get off open 3s often but user hard to shoot 3s due to lack of quality shots

                              CPU blocks too often

CPU making contested middies and close shots but barely any green when user attempts to do it

                              Too many dunks

averaging around 40 percent fg and always around 25 percent 3 point

Other than that it's noticeably better than stock sliders.going to play more a couples times if I notice anything else

edit: turned off layup timing and definitely helped my fg. Still struggling with getting my 3pt to above 30 percent and felt like I was relying too much on drives to improve my fg. Would be more fun to play with some post/middy fades
