Re: Armor & Swords NBA 2K15 Pro/Sim/Real FG/FT% "Average Joe" Sliders
Scores in the games I play are fine but sim scores are coming in unrealistically LOW. Granted, I am playing with crazyh16's classic teams imported into franchise mode but 70-65 type scores are pretty much the norm for simmed games.
Also, I think the foul numbers might be skewed a bit too far toward the user's favor. I'm not seeing my guys get in much foul trouble but quite often getting 4 or 5 fouls on a cpu guy or two before the half and fouling out at least one of em per game.
I've also tweaked the steals and blocks numbers UP a bit but that's just personal preference. Overall, really enjoying the base numbers you've come up with, man! Thanks!!!Comment

Be physical. Don't be afraid to create contact and foul.
Rotate defensively. If the offense tries to set a screen, do your best to go under/around it.
Contest every shot.
Make sure you finish the possession defensively, meaning don't assume anything. Don't assume that there is no way that Player X will make a 30-foot jumper. If it's an open shot, and a good shooter, there's a solid chance he makes it.
Again, this is just basic stuff. I can't really comment more without knowing your play style.Comment

Re: Armor & Swords NBA 2K15 Pro/Sim/Real FG/FT% "Average Joe" Sliders
On ball defense on the wings and pg: don't crowd the ball handler so much. It's makes it easier to beat you then your rotations get screwed up leaving guys wide open.
Be close enough to contest if they pull the jumper but not in the crowd animation. When they drive move to cut them off at an angle, to where they're going, not right in front of you. This will keep your rotations in tact and sometimes force them to pick up their dribble.
Change your defensive settings according to what's happening. You'll sometimes need to double guys on the drive or in the post. Or go under screens instead of over. This changes throughout the game.
If you can't stay in front of your man play off ball just be careful with rotations. Protect the rim instead of chasing jump shots.Tar Heels | Panthers | HornetsComment

Re: Armor & Swords NBA 2K15 Pro/Sim/Real FG/FT% "Average Joe" Sliders
Here's my issues with the game post-patch. I rage quit a game with 20 seconds left in the 4th last night.
The CPU outshot me 102-71. 30 more shots, the score was 120-112, which is just insanely high for a regulation game and its the normal score for my games.
The turnovers were 15-3, the CPU just never turns it over, even throwing it out of bounds or something like that...not just steals. The reaching foul is crazy, I rarely try to steak on ball, but with so few shot opportunities I need to try more often.
The offensive rebounding is insane for the CPU, they grabbed 18 offensive boards and score on all of their 2nd chances, my second chance shots under the hoop roll off.
2K has always been notorious for 3rd quarter domination by the CPU, I've written reviews going back to 2002 about this. I was outscored 37-27 in the third, they just don't miss.
I don't think these are slider issues, but the game is very unbalanced post patch. Before it, all my games were very even with normal scores and it was fun.
I do think the CPU offensive rebounding slider needs to go back down, Im going to try 37 and see what happens. Also, I think I might need to lower the computer's Hands slider, they just never make a bad pass.Let's Go Yankees!

Played two games so far, I was the clippers and the magic. I noticed the cpu went to the line a lot less in the clippers game. In both games the CPU had very low turnovers. I also shot too well in the clippers game. Also, the clippers game was played with timsmooths roster, the magic game with 2ks default roster. I will play some more games and post the results.Last edited by alec_cg; 12-26-2014, 01:33 PM.Comment

Try lowering Ball handling and/or hands by increments of 2 down for CPU ,but not lower then 40 or lower their pass acuracy to 39.
As for to many shots , i have lowered quickens and speed to 35 and increased game speed to 55 and it seems to be working.Comment

10 min quarters.
Also, another things I noticed in the game was that several times my players would throw extremely inaccurate passes. Twice the inbound pass sailed way over the receivers head and out of bounds.Comment

Wanted to try these out but am anti real %....my question is should I be? I tried it once and it felt like I wasn't playing and just simulating an experience.
Looking for your honest feedback as you've tried these does it make the game play better? Do you feel in control?
Sorry to post in your thread but my question is more directed towards this slider set as I want to use it and was wondering if it's been tested on release timing, or if I should just convert to real%.Comment

Re: Armor & Swords NBA 2K15 Pro/Sim/Real FG/FT% "Average Joe" Sliders
You still have to release the stick at the right time. I have never had success even with the real% by just flicking the stick. If someone is really open and it isn't right there is still a chance for the ball to go inComment

5 minutes into my first league game and Melo dislocates his patella and Thaddeus Young breaks his kneecap. Catastrophe for me in a 29 game season.

I had to lower the injury and injury effect sliders. In three games I lost three starters to broken ankles for 2-4 months.Let's Go Yankees!
