Re: NBA 2k15 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set

    tried your sliders out:

i was the bulls, as you can see..i got kicked my butt XD
i guess im gonna lower the difficulty to all-star for now, superstar is just no joke for me right now.
but i like the sliders tho, the game feels good, doesn't feel unrealistic slow or fast...

most of the time i played with armor and sword sliders, but it was getting too easy.

i guess i'm gonna stick with your sliders for now..keep up the good work.

An additional thing that might help is running a less guard heavy offense. While I understand the number of touches for Rose and Butler, Aaron Brooks fired off more shots than Gasol, Noah, Gibson, and Mirotic combined. With a frontcourt as strong as Chicago's I'd suggest utilizing them a bit more on offense, as I think that it will result in a slightly higher shot %. 8 points combined by your entire frontcourt (unless the D. Green is Draymond and not Danny - then it would be 11 points) is what lost you this match I think.

good point, i should post up the big mens in the paint more often. i just totally lost the focus on that against okc, because actually i do set plays for my bigs but it happens per se (too) randomly.

btw. it's Danny Green, i sent mike dunleavy and kirk hinrich to san antonio for him.
he's in his final year of his contract(as like jimmy butler) but i think it was worth it^^
        so i'm playing: #1 rose #2 green #3 butler #4 gasol #5 noah

Do you have offensive plays set to auto? This will give your offense a lot more movement and direction while likely having you feed the ball into the post more often. It really opens up the game!

Definitely set playcalling to auto! I always had it set on manual before I ran with these sliders, because I thought I ran enough plays myself (I do run a pretty play heavy / low freestyle type of game). And I must say it took me a couple of games to get used to (since it calls a play on every possession), but it truly helps so much.. even if you decide to freestyle halfway through a play at times it is still so useful, because it creates so much more movement and therefore space.

And yeah, post up some more. These are higher % shots, and especially with Pau you have a great offensive weapon in the post imo.

I'll be posting an update sometime in the next day or two to the MyLEAGUE settings. I have made minor tweaks to almost every setting, and I'm trying to find the best way to tweak the salary cap settings to mimic the cap spikes to come the next few years.

I'll also be posting some house rules to let you see into my thought process and hopefully get the most out of the mode. Obviously these house rules will be optional (yet highly recommended) as everyone should still play the mode the way they like. A few suggestions never hurt though, right?

Ive had some time to test these sliders and there very realistic so good job!!

Only problem I have is in the fast break as most of the time the cpu will either tip the pass or my long distance pass will go out of bounds, or my layups will be blocked nearly 90% of the time. only way i seem to score of fast breaks is with an alley oop pass.

Definitely incorporate some angles and bounce passes into your fast break game! Standard passes into a defenders path should and will be stolen/deflected, but if you get your timing and aiming down you can split a bounce pass between two defenders and hit your teammate as he cuts to the rim.

It looks cool, it feels awesome, and you know you EARNED those points. CPU defenders are good at shutting down the break, which is just the way I want it. And long passes are risky so make sure you're not trying to one-pass your way up the court after a rebound. Most PF/C's are poor passers so you won't be able to pull off many 3/4th court passes like you can at default settings.

what a game, the spurs were damn hard to break, couldn't stop parker tho.
even on all-star this sliders are though, you gotta fight over every point, i like it.

It's VERY close. Just trying to get the most realism I can out of free agency at this point!

Aright, I still have some tweaking to do but these are the Free Agency settings I've settled on:

                            Salary Cap - On
                            Hard Cap - Off
Contract Negotiation Difficulty - 75 if you're an attractive big market team or a team with consistent success, 100 if you're a small market team with little history of success.

Use your best judgment on the Contract Negotiation slider. If you think it would be hard to attract free agents to your team in real life, set it to 100. If you're a team like the Spurs, Rockets, Lakers, Clippers, etc. and a player would realistically choose your team over others, set it to 75.

Anyone tried the Rondo4Life roster with these? I just tried in MyLeague and I'm not sure if it's the rosters or the mode but the sliders play totally different. I'm gonna try default rosters and see.

It's the roster. He makes more changes to players in his roster than ETP does, so his roster is not similar to the 2k default roster and therefore not compatible with my sliders unfortunately.
