I hate the fact that u can always tell who’s the CPU and who’s the User by looking at the total fouls, turnovers and free throws at the end of each game. User always has more than the CPU in that regard.

Also, G0DZ u used the set on the first page with no alterations right?

I’m about to get a game in now and I’m going to try and focus on limiting my stupid turnovers. I feel like that’s one aspect of my game that allows the CPU to get a lead on me.

I’m playing as TOR at WSH and I finally saw a CPU controlled defender jump on my pump-fake by DeRozan [emoji1430] it’s even better that I actually took advantage of his mistake and scored on the play.

Also, a minute and a half into the game and already with one turnover [emoji19][emoji19][emoji19]

Wow u lost by 3 without Harden. That’s what I call an accomplishment. Also, u had less turnovers than the CPU. Gotta give u props for that.

I’m going to start playing to the sliders strengths for the user which is the only thing we truly have… the FT line [emoji48]

*** I think the user 3pt suceda slider should be raised at least 1 or 2 clicks. IMO

NBA 2K17 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set

Since these sliders use User Timing for shots, any of the shot success sliders can be changed to suit your own needs! If you see yourself missing too many 3s, increase the USER 3pt shot success by 1 until you're happy [emoji4]


Also, to get your teammates more involved on defense make these changes:

CPU sliders:
Jump Shot Defense Strength (Release) - 100

User sliders:
Contest Shots - 100

This will lead to more aggressive close-outs on perimeter shooters, less standing around, AND a few more FTs for the CPU.

Yes, I forgot to post it in my last reply! Set USER Play Passing Lanes to 100 as well. Doesn't fully fix the issue but it definitely helps!

Let me know if it helps! My off-ball defending teammates were definitely more active in forcing turnovers and punishing the CPU for bad passes/forcing it to the paint.

What’s the slider that causes the cpu players to cover my guys so closely? Also how can I lower the cpu defensive instinct?

The Jump Shot Defense Strength (Gather) slider controls that for the most part. And what exactly are you referring to as the "defensive instinct"? Like stealing passes? Cutting off lanes to the basket?

MINOR SLIDER UPDATE!

While the next big update is still being worked on, I wanted to put out this mini update to clear up any confusion on what current sliders should be used. There are only a few changes this time around, but they will make a pretty big difference in gameplay!

NOTE: The Speed and Accel sliders are USER PREFERENCE. You can set them higher or lower to suit how you want the game to look and feel. Just make sure to set the USER slider 3 ticks above the CPU slider for these two settings.

ALSO, if you are having any issues with jump shots for yourself or the CPU, simply increase or decrease the relevant shot success slider by 1 tick until you are getting the results you want. With User Timing, there can be a lot of variance between FG% for different users, so tweak these as needed!

Finally, if the CPU needs to get more or less free throws, increase or decrease the Shooting Foul slider for the USER. If the USER needs more or less free throws, increase/decrease the Shooting Foul slider for the CPU.
