Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set
Hi EccentricMeat, I am going to try your sliders out and post some comments here, thank you for the great work and also clear writing and explanation in the first page. Though, one thing I would like to start asking is, the stamina and fatigue, do you have any clue how to fix those sliders just so that the players can be subbed in a realistic way? I am on 8mins per quarter, and have tried many different combos to edit these two sliders, still not working, CPU just keep doing whole squad subs, 5 in 5 out, and is killing me...
people get a lil sensitive around here but, while this game is very enjoyable, it also has many things that are completely BROKEN. hockey subs is one of them. no sliders will fix it. the only way to fix it is to do advanced rotations. that way you can literally sub whoever you want, whenever you want. advanced rotations are a game changer. of course that only affects the user's team in a franchise so the cpu will still do it their way. you could control all the teams and do advanced rotations for every team but that sounds like absolute misery to me, because you'd have to change them every time there is an injury or trade or signing. also, if you do advanced rotations make sure to put player minutes to manual so it will (mostly) stick to what you tell it to do.
also with this slider set being designed for real % it wouldn't work with user timing. its not gonna literally not work, but you'd have to change some sliders to make it more enjoyable. im sure EM could explain better tho.Comment

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set
Hi,
I just tested out the sliders and they are looking good. I recommend if you are playing against the AI try to player lock it to the center or PF spot for a much more realistic defense also set everything on player percentage.Attached FilesComment

Nice! Those are solid numbers. Have you made any adjustments to the sliders? Reason I’m asking is I’ve tried other sets and can’t get consistent realistic fast break points. It’s honestly driving me a little nuts. If you’re looking to pull your foul numbers up. I did a global edit and raised everyone commit foul tendency by 10.(Actually 12 but that may be too much. Still testing it out).Comment

Just got the game for ps5 and since it’s my first 2k since 19 or 20 would using these but lowering difficulty mess with the flow of these sliders? I’m thinking all star for me to start.

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set
Just wanted to give a formal apology for disappearing the last few weeks. I've been preoccupied with FIFA 23 and now God of War: Ragnarok (incredible game) and haven't even booted up 2K23 since before Halloween.
Playing my first game now with the ATD roster and can immediately vouch for the roster's quality (as always). While the 2K default roster plays decently enough, their attention to detail (ha) has been lacking for as long as I can remember. The ATD roster lives up to its name by filling in all the missing details, making the AI play a far more realistic, enjoyable game than the default rosters could ever hope to achieve.
Throughout the game I've been switching between my current slider set in the OP as well as Schnaidt's ATD sliders, and both play very well. Unfortunately my "review" here is light on details as its only first-impressions, but it seems like you can't go wrong with either.
Until I have something substantive to add, I'll leave it at that. Hope you're all still enjoying the game!Comment

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set
I am currently using your sliders in the Jordan era with the Clutch0z roster. and i like them a lot.
I have only made these adjustments:
I have lowered these two variables to 95:
Charging Foul Frequency - 100-->95
Blocking Foul Frequency - 100-->95
Because I like that there are less fouls in attack and blocks.
Then I was testing the speed between 45 and 48. Because at 50 it was difficult for me (my first choice). But in the end I tried again with 55 and I'm liking it a lot. I guess I've also gotten better at the game after quite a few matches...
For me this makes the game a little easier, more casual...
I've shared these settings in case there are more people like me who love your sliders but would like to make them a bit "easier". With these small adjustments it is achieved and it is not necessary to go down from Superstar to other difficulties...
I hope it can be of help to someoneLast edited by Aicarg; 11-19-2022, 01:59 PM.Dar_Veider on PS5Comment

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set
Just want to re-iterate that these sliders are the best imo that i have tested this year.
I am having a true blast. Most enjoyable 2k i ever had.
I play with Pelicans, in game injuries make now possible to play each game and I really love it.
