Still plugging away. Unfortunately once a decent base set is in place (which I consider the currently posted version of my sliders to be), future updates take a LOT longer to work on.

Damn man, thanks for the praise! It is nice to finally have a 2K that rivals some of the GOATs (2k11 and 2k16 specifically). Once some of the in-depth roster work is done this game will TRULY take hold of that #1 spot and never look back.

Personally I'm just waiting on a late 2000s era MyNBA scenario with updated rosters and draft classes to be uploaded, then I'll be in heaven.

Anyone else noted that since yesterday morning it seems that FT are not quite as automatic as they used to be? For the better!

Right now I’d say 60 feels best

Offset it with lowering the Speed slider. The higher Speed setting makes all animations play out a little fast. The Speed slider slows down the movement enough to keep the actual player movement where it needs to be.

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set

Don't normally post about my games, but man, I just had a game using custom rosters with these sliders. Modern Era MyNBA with the Mavs. OMG I think it was the best game I've ever played on 2k. Went Overtime against the Warriors. Both Luka and Steph had monster games. Warriors couldn't miss from 3. Mavs fought hard. Luka was a beast. They couldn't stop him. At one point, came back from 11 down to tie it to go to overtime and won. Steph had 61 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists, and 1 steal. Tied the record for most 3's made in a game at 14. Luka finished with (get this) 95 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 block. Passed Wilt's Chamberlain's (3rd record) of 78 points in a game and Kobe's 81 to be 2nd on the all time single game record for scoring behind Wilt and he set all kinds of Mavs records. Final score - Mavs 161 and Warriors 156. Man was it fun!

The crazy thing is the gameplay feels great every single game. Shots feel good, contact feels good. The power teams are hard to beat and the lesser teams still put up a good fight but are usually easier to beat. It's possible to lose to anyone on any night, just like the real NBA. The challenge is there.

Current playoff picture - Clippers 19-2, Grizzlies 16-4, Warriors 16-6, Mavericks 14-6, Timberwolves 13-8, Pelicans 12-8, Nuggets 12-8, and Lakers 9-10 and it's just November.

Props to 2k, the roster makers, and props to these sliders. 2k is fun again.

Re: NBA 2K23 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Next-Gen Slider Set

Just played my first gane with these sliders and oh man its way different than default superstar !
It felt really unpredictable which shots would go in and ive made some crazy baskets which i would've never made on superstar default.
It felt energetic and the warriors ended up shooting 15/35 from deep (43%) which felt like the real games.
I was up all game but they came back and burried me winning with a 3 from klay 74 -77 on the road.

They didnt attack the paint that much neither did we have much blocks ..i would like to see more blocks tho.

But overall super satisfied with the sliders after a one game taste of the sliders i will definitely keep using them and see what i have to lower game speed 60 to 58

Or adjust the speed slider like someone mentioned above...it could play a tick slower and it would be a super good set .

                  Good job eccentric!

Im using 2k rosters because i dont want to miss on roster updates

Still really enjoying these sliders, not much to add really that hasn't been mentioned. Work a treat even on player lock with no issues.

I do have a question though which is more a general one.. So I upgraded from 2k20 to 2k23 and one thing I don't know how to do now is call my own plays during the game. So it used to be that you pressed L1 then selected the required player with one of the face buttons (X, O etc.) and then you could scroll through that player's plays and choose which one to run. I can't for the life of me seem to figure it out now, when I press L1 and then X for example I can only choose to set a screen or cut to basket etc. Has this been removed from the game?

You can set different plays in that selection menu. In Game go to Gameplan then Offensive Settings then down to Play Selection. You can set 8 plays including these default actions (isolation, floppy, motion, etc.) or pick plays from your playbook.

You can also hit the left D-Pad to bring up the Playcalling choices, one of which is 2K Smart Play which picks a random (?) play from your playbook.

I'm on Current Gen so Next Gen might be slightly different. Someone will correct me if it is.

After you do the L1 + Player Icon, you need to press L2/R2 to scroll through the other menus. For whatever reason the L2/R2 prompts don’t populate on the screen with just the generic play calls (screen, post up, etc) but then the prompts do show up after pressing L2/R2.

And from everyone else, it’s awesome to hear the sliders are still playing great for you! Though 95 points by a user-controlled Luka is INSANE [emoji23]

Dam am I struggling with this slider set. Lucky to score 70 pts. CPU taking the ball off me whenever they feel like it. Can't make 3s. Players missing way too many shots under the basket and way too many wide open players for 3s no matter what defensive set I use.

And you are using real fg percentage? I've had games where I've score 120pts

Nope I use timing. Think I just need to tweak some things to see if I can get it going.
