sorry guys. But following the automatic 2k update a few days ago, don't you find that the physics of the game have changed? that the game is sometimes too fast and sometimes too slow? I had perfect gameplay until 2 days ago and now I find it much worse, without having changed anything... I'm at my 25th game of mynba

Just popping in to say I've been working on an update for the last few weeks. Having some AMAZING games but as always, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and there is always something that needs improvement. Hoping to get the update posted ASAP, but the true release date is as always: "It's done when it's done".



Also, just wanted to hop up on my soapbox for a moment and say that Discord is a MASSIVE step back for online communities, especially when the community has anything to do with modding/tweaking how a game plays. It essentially gatekeeps knowledge and findings thanks to Discord posts not showing up in Google searches.

Let's say a group of people work together to solve a problem for a game; They post all their tests and findings in a discord, answer questions, go through countless rounds of trial and error, etc. If that discussion was being had on a forum like this, anyone searching for a solution to the problem being discussed would find the posts and save so much time and effort by seeing what worked and didn't work for other people. But have that discussion on Discord, and everyone else who ever searches for an answer will find nothing and be stuck repeating all the same crap the people on Discord already discussed for weeks/months.

It seems like everything 2K related has shifted over to Discord servers, which is a massive detriment to the community IMO. I even see questions answered on this forum with "They talked about that on X discord, can't remember what they said but you could check there". Just a dreadful state, and it's sad to see so many great contributors to our community here at OS from over the years have moved everything over to Discord. But it is what it is.

Just finding the right balance for Game Speed coupled with the movement sliders, Speed/Accel sliders, and tweaks to the Lateral Quickness rating in the roster. I THINK I've settled on basically everything else, I'm really enjoying the offense and defense from the CPU so the tendencies and Defense sliders shouldn't need any more tweaks once I get the movement/animations down the way I want.

Been having a lot of fun trying out new "potential rebuild" scenarios, which has eaten in to my testing time a little bit this week. Spending way too much time in the menus making trades

Been playing with these slides on Xbox One.

Unfortunately, the opposition Defense doesn't adjust to anything that I do.

I'm playing on a Fantasy Draft MyLeague and Kevin Love made more than 10 3PT shots in consecutive games because the opposition refused to adjust to constant Pick & Pops.

Just something to be aware of.

I haven't tested sliders at all for old gen, so I'm not surprised these don't translate over.

Is it possible to be fouled on a jumpshot with real player % on? I've been doing some testing and haven't seen a single one in like 2 weeks of testing. If I turn it off I'm able to get tons of jumpshot fouls but every jumpshot has that really weird ugly landing, and the mod to remove it doesn't work on 24.

Absolutely, I use Real Player % and see jumpshot fouls all the time (mostly, if not exclusively, me fouling the CPU shooter... not sure if I get fouled on jump shots now that I think about it). Although I have Shooting Fouls set low for the CPU so that I don't get constantly bailed out with shooting fouls when I attack the basket, so that probably plays a part.

I'll post my updated Defense and Foul sliders later today and you can give them a try.

Absolutely, I use Real Player % and see jumpshot fouls all the time (mostly, if not exclusively, me fouling the CPU shooter... not sure if I get fouled on jump shots now that I think about it). Although I have Shooting Fouls set low for the CPU so that I don't get constantly bailed out with shooting fouls when I attack the basket, so that probably plays a part.

Anyone else getting good free throw percentages? I had one game where the heat only averaged 6 free throw attempts in mynba season.

A lot of things go into that. Besides just the foul sliders, you need to make sure contact animations are being triggered as well as defensive contests. There’s also the “Whistle” badge to help players get more calls when attacking the basket, which I highly recommend mass-editing your roster and increasing this badge by one level for all players (just select the column in Quick Edit and flick the RS up once).

Ahhh old gen. Not sure about fouls there as I’ve only played about 20 minutes on old gen and the sliders react a little differently. If you’re getting contact and still the foul isn’t being called, you can try increasing the CPU shot foul slider to see if that helps, but obviously that will lead to more fouls on layup/dunk attempts. If it still doesn’t trigger jump shot fouls, then I guess we just have to live with that, unfortunately.

Forget that last post. I played maybe 6 games after the heat game and been having 15-35 ft attempts. 🙌🏽
