Re: NBA 2K24 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Been having high scoring games and it’s been pretty fun. AI has been on fire from 3 point arc, decided to change 3 pt success down to 50 and see if it remedies it. Waiting on your updated sliders to try them out.Comment

Re: NBA 2K24 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Do your sliders provide more 3 pt shooting attempts by both teams? PC version. It's the way everyone plays now, and I'm only seeing 10-14 attempts per game, vs the 20-30 attempts in the real NBA. Also, sometimes the star players who are known 3 pt shooters have very few attempts.Last edited by BustinLoose; 08-14-2024, 11:27 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K24 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
I pretty much gave up on most aspects of this game. Though I think I did replicate movement and tendencies pretty well, so I will share the new values I have been using for that. The rest, I just can't be bothered, the help defense is so ridiculous and scripted that it just does my head in trying to play 2K24. Anyway, here are the changes I use:
Roster
First things first, I'd recommend editing whatever roster you're using to drop Lateral Quickness. I do this by using the Quick Edit and selecting the Lateral Quickness column (which will mass edit the entire roster at once). I increase Lateral Quickness by 10 to equalize the top rated players, then decrease it by 20 to equalize the lowest rated players, and finally increase it by 5 to get the final values. The players with the highest Lat. Quickness should now be at 84, the lowest should be at 30, and then you're good to go. Easier to blow-by slow defenders, defensive movement has more weight and foot-planting involved, and more contact animations trigger on the perimeter without forcing brick walls.
I would further recommend mass-editing a few Badges to get more turnovers and foul calls. Edit these badges as follows by selecting the entire column:
Bail-Out, Needle Threader, and Unpluckable - Flick the RS down twice, so that only the truly elite passers/dribblers get a boost in these situations.
Glove, Interceptor, Right Stick Ripper, and Whistle - Flick the RS down once, then up once. This keeps every player with this badge at the same level, while giving the Bronze badge to every player that did not already have it.
Repeat these badge edits at the start of every new season in MyNBA, and you'll be all set. As for the Lateral Quickness edit, it seems the "jackmove916" draft classes already use a similar system, so no tweaks are needed. I have not checked other draft classes, though.
Shoutout to schnaidt1 (@SimGamingNetwork on YT) for the badge edit idea and methodology.

Not sure how the above works on the old-gen/PC version of the game, but you can try out the tendencies and see.
Can't wait for 2K25, hopefully the Shot Stick Profiles live up to my expectations and that the new defensive movements/foot-planting system is actually legit. And maybe some actual help defense? Fingers crossed...Comment
