Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Excuse me @EccentricMeat But from what you wrote above I understand that Low Risk is more complex than Medium Risk ... and consequently of High Risk. Isn't it the opposite? I from the menu I understand that using low risk there will be More likely that the shot will end up in the basket even without guessing the release.
Low Risk has the most RNG. You can perfectly time it and miss (the game simply won’t register it as a green if the RNG decides not to), and you can mistime it and still make the shot. High Risk is green-or-miss, and you can perfectly time it every time if you learn the exact animation cues. Medium Risk is in between, where a perfectly timed shot is more likely to register as a green than Low Risk, but still some RNG so it’s not as game-able as High Risk, and you can make some mistimed shots but not nearly as often as Low Risk.
I have noticed that. Usually after a steal on the perimeter or after a pass on the fast break where you should be able to full-sprint to the basket but the game makes your player walk for a second before running. Extremely annoying, but it almost never erases the scoring chance. Hopefully 2K can patch it out.
You’re supposed to be able to by holding L1, but it almost never works. You can tap L1 and then hold the button of the defender you want to send help/double, and that usually works (but still not always for some reason).Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
I FOUND A SOLUTION FOR USER SPEED TOO SLOW ON DRIBBLE! CHANGE THE GAMEPLAY FOR ME:
GO TO CONTROL SETTINGS
-> PASSIVE DRIBBLE HAND SWITCHES: DISABLE
This option is set to enable by default. I don't know why, but this changes the entire dynamics of speed and explosion for USER. After doing this, my players became much more responsive and faster, in addition to dribbling becoming much easier and with a much more realistic animation!Comment

Eccentric when do you think you'll be ready to release your first official set of sliders?Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Hi Eccentric, have you made changes to increase the difficulty lately? I don't know what to change but I start to find it a little too simple is offensively and defensively. Record 6-1 With OKC, but I had just little difficulty in general. But the game and the statistics are excellent ... but the CPU is a bit too light defensively and not very incisive in attack. What could I modify?Comment

Are these sliders good for a WNBA dynasty? Or should I only use them for the NBA and find a different slider set for the WNBA?Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
I’ve never played the WNBA portion so I’m not sure! I know the different MyNBA Eras gameplay is a little different than other eras, so I would assume they made the WNBA gameplay more distinct as well.

Interesting if that’s the case. I know the online crowd said to disable it just so that you had full control of which hand you start a dribble combo with, but I hadn’t heard anything about actual responsiveness or anything else. I’ll definitely try it out!
Very soon! I’ve been playing EA FC 25 the last few days, or else the update would have already been posted 🫣

OKC are broken this year so I’m not surprised you’ve been having it easy [emoji28]
Try using a different team and play against OKC, is it still easy? Because I hated testing against them, they just dominated me time after time lol
I increased difficulty for myself by editing the roster and increasing the Dish to Open Man tendency as well as the tendency called something like “Finish Aggressive After Drive” or something like that. Give those an increase and you should get a more aggressive and deliberate offense by the CPU. I did a +10 to both for the entire roster. I also increased the Draw Foul and Take Charge tendencies by 10 as well, which gave a LOT more foul calls and charge attempts. And I also gave everyone a +1 to these Badges: Glove, Interceptor, Lightning Launch, and Pick Dodger.
Give those roster tweaks a try and let me know!Comment

Eccentric how do you change the tendencies of the players on the roster?</pre>Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
I find that a lot of slider creators are a lot better at this game than I am, especially on defense. I haven't tried this particular set yet but usually I'll just lower the CPU shot success sliders a couple of points to compensate.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set
Remember, the sliders will often need to be adjusted for your play style and experience to work well for you. Look at the concepts presented and adjust to fit how you play.
For example - I'm older than many players (slower reactions, lousy eye sight...the usual "it sucks getting old" issues) and struggle staying in front of the guy I'm defending so the sliders I use fit how I like to play differently than someone else.Comment

Yep - this. Also think about adjusting game speed, slider speed, or Agility for movement settings that work for you.Comment

Press Y to edit different stats. I think you start on the attributes screen, so press Y once to get to the Tendencies screen.
If you mess up, click the quick edit button again and discard the changes.Comment
