Nvm guys figured it out. Just back down then pull the RS on the opposite side where your facing.

It is left or right of the basket. You can go either way.

Fade

I have the rest down pretty well but I need to use these two with Yao to make him unstoppable! I do the PF to HSS normal side a few times a game and that move is awesome.

-Pump Fake to Hop Step Spin (opposite side)
Same as above but once the Pump Fake starts, move the LS to the direction behind the player and tap Y to follow up with a Hop step spin. Only players with a high (OPOST) can do this.

-Pump Fake to Drive
Post up a defender by pulling LT, While holding the ball with an unused dribble, tap X or quickly move the RS in any direction to Pump Fake. Once the Pump Fake starts, release LT, pull and hold RT and move the LS towards the basket for the drive.

wen u are being tightly guarded and ur in need to score you should do this.

pump fake, one dribble and the step back. (you opponent should always be tempted to jump if ur play another user) once they lean into them to draw the shooting foul.

this always works for me, giving me the 3 point play or maybe even 4 point play, but u will alway get the foul nomatter wat.

paul pierce and dwyane wade are two players who are really effective with this in real life.


By the way i use this move but i dont not do it every time because starts to get perdictable and it take the fun away if u over use it so dont cheese

best use for the clutch seconds or shot clock..

Have you noticed the nice touch in defending using the RS?
You can not only try the steal but also some other moves, according to the direction you move it (i.e. RS up=stand still and raise your hand up)

This game has a lot of these kind of things that are not explained properly, but you have to figure out by yourself
Too bad that 2k doesn't publish a strategic guide as Konamy does for PES

i thought i was the only one that ever does that step back pump fake then jump into teased defender trick to any over anxious player that think they're going to block every shot.

I like to use that strategy also. It almost always works on the first try for me.
