1. Home and away team ratings - Some teams play better at home than they play away.

2. Fox Sports Network - If I'm correct, this is a WISHlist so if this can happen, it would be amazing because of the variety of commentators. For the Miami Heat, there's SunHeat. For the Lakers, FSLakers (i think). Stuff like that, basically local broadcasting.

3. Nogster and Portlandblazer on the Dev team.

4. More customization options (ie: CAP, shoes, wristbands, armbands, sig animations,etc...)

1.Realistic ads on dornas ,and etc...
2.Warmup Jackets,towels,drinking gatorade when on bench ,warmups,halftimes
3.Real Voices of the players...well kinda hard to do but still helpful for player chatters,or even 4.INTERVIEWS during halftime and after games,timeouts etc...
5.Ability to assign players into the All-star lineups
6.Free Agent Coaches(ex.Eddie Jordan,Avery Johnson,etc.[we won't like generic coaches assigned on a team on the association)
6.Draft Classes for the next year(JUST NEXT YEAR 2k!!!JUST 1 Draft Class and I'll be happy)
7.Make a broadcaster your official scoreboard,etc...(NBA TV,FSN,ABC,or even ESPN[the halftime reports,real broadcasters,music etc..])
8.no GENERIC shoes (come'on 2k!I've been editing them all day!)
9.REALISTIC GAME SPEED AND PLAYER speed!!!(PLAYERS ARE SOMEtimes like sliding,and very fast,even sliders and player edits can't fix it...
10.Hustle at 76,Quickness at 50,etc....(TOmba)
11.mORE talkative commentators
12.ability to upload commercials to in-games
13.Foot Planting
14.better graphics for the crowd,non-oa,etc...
15.EA Like deep through graphics,but not the clay-like...

Association Contracts

I'll concentrate on stuff most people woulndt care about lol.

Contract raises should be calculated from the first year of the contract, not from the previous year like how it's done in NBA 2K.

If I make 10 mill in the first year on my contract, with a 10% raise (the actual max raise is 10.5%, but that doesn't matter), my raise each year will only be 1 million each year. In 2K, it's calculated on the previous year, bloating the contracts, especially large ones.

Non bird free agents are limited to a max 8% raise a year (based on the first year). Would help a lot with the cap situations for teams.

I was incorrect before, contracts seems to be limited to a max 6 years, like you guys have. Sorry

One of my biggest complaints on the 2k series is the lack of team rotation when you double team someone. Live is superior in this because you are able to cancel a double team at any time and your team mates will actually rotate to the open man.

Please add kick ball in this game and the animation of a defender kicking the ball to deflect the pass. sometimes passes in this games have been deflect on the defenders legs when they do bounce pass. They need to add this rule man. And please fix fastbreak its not there yet. Players are still not pushing the ball upcourt man when a fastbreak happens. They jog then push what the hell man.

I think it was 2k4 and 2k5 that had empty seats late in ball games when there was a blowout. They should bring that back.

Dear developers!!! I honestly believe that you will read through a whole post and include stuffs you would like into your wonderful game!!!
We, 2K9 players, want you to add some new game features in 2k10 basketball simulator. I have a lists of things, hopefully not mentioned before(for me is hard to read 20 pages of posts). Here it is:
(I used ordinal numbers listing, so it's easy to quote it)

The First...

Improve players and crowd (mostly) animation, 'cause, seriously, it's gonna be a best sport sim. and if there will be low anim level then it will look like an old 20 century game.
That's what we don't want to happen.

The Second...

Do this new sim. more game-alike, adding more replays and angles of replays, new cameras, showing shotcuts of players got in game, when subs. Bring it to the nextgen entertainment level, create a new standarts with this.

The Third...

The best present would be if you will add D league. I don't know whether it will come to life, but it would REALLY great!

The Fourth...

Graphics needs to be better:
Do fingers round, NOT square-shaped.
Crowd needs to be a LOT more detailed than it is now, and more customisable (you know that each game causes different interrest and in 2k9 each time I played was the same ammount of people to watch this)

The Fifth...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make some sort of a so called(I made it up, but still...) 'Create a move' or 'Create a shot' or '... a dunk'!!!
It will make game look more real and it will be useful if someone wants to create his(or her) own player with exact same shot they have in real life or if a real player changes his way of attacking the basket.

The Sixth...

Since 2k9 this game was brought to the PC players. It's great, but here is things that you may (and will) improve:

Not the best controls, and for me, I can't do some of your rotation dunks because of keyboard. Well, there you may say that if you don't like your keyboard you may go and buy a joystick. The truth is that some people could not do it, not because they've being poor, but because of lack of the products to choose from.
So it's MUST be changed for the keyboard users.

The Seventh...

Change the way your commentators telling us what is happening(but leave Sheryl Miller)!!! Seriously, there has been over 4-5 years past since i've seen some improvements with commentary. In future that's just don't gonna work. And like I've already said bring it to the nextgen entertainment level. That means commentary to.

The Eighth...

More custom things, custom always means freedom and freedom is what we all looking for. For example, you got the hight of your own playes set on 239 centimeters(i am a european), which is max for 2k9, but what for you are limmiting this? The tallest man ever live was about 270 cent. Does it mean that there will never be the same tall guy to play basketball?? No.
And a few more words about it... When I am playing with a 239 cent. guy that has all stat set on 99% , he got to dunk a ball not even from penalties line, but from 3pt line(I know that it sounds a bit wierd but think what 99% of stat stand for). And when you got this BIG man playing his animation looks not even close to realistic.

The Nineth...

Please let people add their own tracks into the game. We will appreciate that

The Tenth...

Improve AI please!!! The one you have is ok, but... just do it a bit better.

The Eleventh...

Do your best in creating a Multiplayer mode and include LAN for those who have several PC's, an Xbox or PS3 and want to play with their buddies.

The Twelveth...

It would be VERY good if you will include some stars of the past (Jordan maybe (: ). But what I see VERY often is an old time star has an ability to dunk over the legs or make insane alley-oops or(looks discusting to me, 'cuz it is too far from real) INSANE dribbling and spin moves. Common, guys, you should better add some animation this stars had in past, to look more real.
We don't wanna see DR J dunking between the legs or dribble like an alien .

The Thirteenth...

Make a feature of capturing your games so then you can watch it like a normal TV(with all the betterments above it would be trully realistic).

The Fourteenth...

Please for PC version exclude the ability to look at your mouse pointer(sometimes it's annoying to see it floats on screen when the ACTION takes place ).

The Fifteenth...

Please give us an ability to put our own players to compete in dunk contest!

The Sixteenth...

FOR GOD'S SAKE DO PLAYERS COLLISION!!! It's just a vital needs!

The Seventeen...

Please make players to break the rim, it will look cool

The Nineteenth... (probably the best in my opinion)

I hope you got through my post and reached here I had my imagination runs wild on that one:
Do the 'History Mode'(The Association mode with a pre history). This mode would be perfect for the young growing generation to show what was in the beginning. So, this would be, say, 1970's to start your Association mode. Old school basketball, with a lot of tactics to choose from and plays to play(Kinda retro style). As you go through the seasons you got more things to do in game. Example: Dominic Wilkins first time did a windmill dunk and since then you may do it in-game.
Furthermore you may do this discoveries by yourself(maybe for some extra points at the end of the season)
Then you will have the 'NOW' and after a future, where you, developers, should imagine how will nba look like after 20 or so years(internet will help you out, if you remember last year people gave a piece advice to each slam dunk contestant).
I had this idea when I was playing an old game 'The Movies', which is a perfect example how you should do this.

please do away with the defensive lock assist mechanism. I think the defensive crouch was better but just needs to be reworked. the current system just generates waaaay too much sliding and takes the fun out of playing defense. its better to develope a system that can be used offline and also online, and in team up mode too!

if you are already in the defensive crouch, just give a timing window "assist" to the defender, a little extra time to move to the correct side when a offensive player tries to blow by you -- collision detection being the key. people WANT to play defense, they just don't want cheesers to wiggle until they get past them or morph right through them. The collsion detection shoud be a slider also, and then tons of organic contact animations related to this -- where you could bump them off the drive if you are little late, take the charge if you are right on time, cause the player to lose his dribble (bring this back!), cause and 1's if late and keep trying to bump him off the drive, cause the player to lose the ball off his foot or your leg or poked free if the ballhandler really should not be doing 18 crossovers and trying to plow through you. penalize the offensive player for not geting a reasonably clear path to the hoop before trying to hammer his way there...the current system allows them to try it over and over until it works. we need more turnovers and deflections anyway..

and if something like this is implemented, please include several sliders to help control it and customize it so people who want to allow drive and dunk still can if they want and simheads like us can create the perfect balance for us!

I wouldnt mind some abosule defensive controls either:

up - jump/block AND rebound
left - take charge
right - steal
down - hand up without jumping (but still allows you to move)

and then when guarding someone without the ball, you could have options like:

put a hand up to deny a cutting player the ball, this can be done while moving - and if a pass is made to your player and the pass is trying to go through you (not the proper angle) then it is deflected for a true loose ball and anyone can recover it (NOT an automatic steal etc)

grab player, nudge player, front post,

give us more options to defend AWAY from the the ball, this would help for the team up gameplay too! (some are already in, but they need to be reworked a little)

I just think that theres a way to play defense without using buttons if you wanted, all with two sticks and triggers...try it out. the key is to allow rebounding with the stick too, otherwise its too hard to switch real quick to a button to rebound after defending. defense could be fun again!

1. Hairstyle updates (so we can see real current hair of NBA players)
2. Casual friendly control set-up ( so anybody can pick it up)
3. defensive moves and turbo fatigue (so the game will be less cheesy)
4. More Dynamic commentary and cheers (Like those of NBA Live)
5. A PS2, Wii and PSP version (even subpar to the other nextgen system so there will be more ways to gtr the game)

I still think 2K should have made a feature where you can create your own package, taking dunks from other sets and making a hybrid one. That would make life easy.

I'd like to see realistic game-winning shot celebrations. And I'd like to see a better job for the Nba Finals or Playoff series victory celebrations. Also, if they're gonna do Living Rosters again, they need an option to turn it on for season mode. Obviously, it wouldn't work for Association, but for season mode it would be awesome.
