1. Interior defense still swiss cheese, too easy to get points inside
2. A true foul button, when someone goes for a shot inside hit the foul button to send him 2 the line
3. Front rim misses, this just burns my azz your 6'10 and u shoot a 1 foot hook and u front rim miss??? please if anything it will be long.

1. Realistic help defense
I'd like to see weakside defenders cheating towards the paint, ready to help if needed. Along with that, realistic defensive rotations when caught cheating too much. Rarely in the NBA do you see the doubling player go back to cover the guy he left.
2. Rosters
It would be nice if you guys put a little more time into testing the sim results of your default rosters. Are team stat averages falling within acceptable ranges compared to real life? Do individual players and teams play like they should with the tendencys you hand out? They didn't this year, and ratings and tendencys had a lot to do with this.
3. Editing prospects
If I am going to edit a draft class, I want to edit the entire draft class. If I'm not mistaken, you have to complete all your editing before saving the association file. That is too much work for me in one sitting. Unless I'm wrong on this, allow us to save an association before completing the edits, or better yet, let us edit and save a draft class outside of association mode, and let us edit everything.Comment

if u watch new orleans home games, sometimes when peja hits a big 3 in the game they send three people running behind courtside seats holding giant cutouts of peja's head.
This ish cracks me up every time and is my favorite of the somewhat lame home player effects(the CP3 wooooo after his baskets why? leave it to the nature boy). they had the peja headshot last year, but this year in his picture he's smiling and it is so much better. put it in the game VCComment

after playing 30 or so games on 2k9...I really want more options on the coaching level. Before the game starts you can tell ur players to
-force this player to beat us,
-dont switch on the pick
-make them beat us from the outside
Basketball isnt all about skill , its bout having a good scheme to hide your weaknesses
id like to be able to call for "NO easy layups" that would trigger help D and hard foul animations on driving players.Comment

I really like this idea. Also, this would be a chance to add in a lot more turnovers in the game. Have random questionable traveling calls when you do a hop-step/spin move. Questionable out of bounds calls. Charge/blocking foul situations that could go either way. Superstar calls (Wade in '06 finals anyone??)
I think with questionable calls, your coach/player should have the ability to argue the call. That particular call may not get overturned, but you will be able to influence the ref a bit and the next questionable call may go in your favor. If you argue too many, or too hard on any one call, your coach/player can get tossed out of the game or get a Tech which can have either a positive or negative effect on the team. Maybe your coach getting tossed lights a fire under the team and they play better. Perhaps it does the opposite and the team begins to play disjointed.
I think the best way to show the results of the call arguing would be through the commentators. I don't want to see a meter on the screen or anything, I think that would be cheesy. Just have the commentators say something like "The head coach was clearly upset with that foul call and he's letting it be known. I think he has a valid case, but he better be careful out there"
Something to that effect. If a player/coach gets tossed out, lets get a nice cutscene while the commentators say something like "these situations are always iffy. Sometimes this will light a fire under the team after the coach gets tossed, while other times players will visibly lose their focus. Lets see how this team handles it"
I think that would be a great dynamic added to the game. Tie it in with player personalities (Artest, Rasheed more likely to get tossed or fire up the team, Phil Jackson/star players able to greatly influence refs etc) and 2k would really have something here.Comment

we need the option for co-op play against CPU online with the option of using player-lock and the player-lock camera as an option would be nice too.
I wanted to add, for co-op games, separate custom sliders for human and CPU are needed - so the users can get realistic results in co-op games.
The ultimate would be being able to play an association that allows your buddy (or buddies) to join the game on your association team and play through each game with you...

fix sim injuries...I simmed 20 seasons(tracking a edited player) with both injury sliders maxed(for more sim and played games injuries) the injury list was indeed full BUT only a handful of players were actually listed as OUT, fact my edited player(injury rating at 50) played and started in all 82 games EVERY season thru out his 20 year career!!!
Also fix the whole "team chemistry" feature, please just dub and improve it from CH2K8...there is no need to not include that feature being that there is no more CHOOPS so its pointless to try and seperate the two...Look at the spurs, early they were filled with injuries and playing alot of young guys(low team chemistry) and looked like they were not making the post season, now all their Vets are heathly(high chemistry) and they are now an elite team in the west again becuz that group been togather for years! Also look at the pistons, they trade their "coach on the floor" and replace him with a young player and a person who is not very high in AWR...The Knicks of old proved that no matter how high rated your players are, if you dont have good chemistry your in for a long season!Last edited by Jukeman; 02-03-2009, 04:05 PM.Comment

More participation from the crowd in the audio. I'd love to hear a random shout from some random "fan" taunting players or saying random things in regards to the game. I thought it would have been in the game this year seeing that presentation was approached. Have to add more variation of sound to make the audience sound realistic.Comment
