Also, there should be some sort of "React" button for a player to respond with body language or talking to the ref, and there should be signature animations for this like Kobe should throw his hands up in frustration of a no-call, and you should be able to hear players' voices if they talk to the ref ("Come on, man!")

"Still" loving this game!!!
I'm not sure if this was earlier requested (I haven't read through the other 330 posts...haha)
Anyway, while playing, I just noticed something "small" that I hope will be implemented in NEXT years installment of the 2K series.
****When at the freethrow line, the referee "should" deliver a bounce-pass to the freethrow "shooter" instead of a hard chest-pass.
So, hopefully, 2K is listening and will fix this minor thing...it'd be great to see! Thanks 2K...and I'm still LOVING this years game!!!
Currently playing on PS5 & XBOX SERIES X:
- EA Sports College Football 25 - PS5
- MLB The Show 24 - PS5
- The Elder Scrolls V: SKYRIM - XBOX SERIES X

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
This next suggestion may very well get me shot around these parts so I'll preface by knowingly admitting this is hardly a priority and all that gameplay and other stuff should get a boost first.
But if, let's say, a small group of 2K developers are sitting around their place of employment after perfecting the aforementioned gameplay and details, wondering aloud what more they could possibly add to a perfect basketball game, I would suggest they give (ahem) The Crib another look.
Now, any past NBA 2K iteration of The Crib has admittedly been prettttty, pretttyyyy, pretty lackluster. However, I have to say, NFL 2K5's crib had me legitmately interested. For those who may recall, NFL 2K had their crib directly tied to an overabundance of single game, career and franchise achievments. In a way, no matter how shallow, this gave me incentive to continue playing, even outside of Franchise mode.
In NBA 2K9, I complete the given tasks and win trophies in my Features mode (score 35 points with 5 3's with Gilbert Arenas) but what do I really get for accomplishing this task? It's a rhetorical question. I get nothing. In contrast, and I feel completely ridiculous saying this, I somehow felt better knowing that a particular achievement in NFL 2K5 meant I might be able to go back to my crib and buy a new couch (I'm sure that piqued everyones' interest).
The truth is, in NBA 2K9, after going overly deep into my franchise and completing all the player and team achievements with no reward, it feels kind of empty. I like having a little incentive, especially for exibition games as a single player. I believe NFL 2K5 handed out points for repeated performances (such as 45 tokens every time your QB threw for 450 yards). That'd be nice here too, say for everytime I drop 40 points with a player.
To sum everything up, I'm a complete hypocrite because while I cannot stand the whole "buying trading cards" thing for the MLB 2K franchise, I have no problem turning around and saying "Let me earn tokens so I can unlock that new Sportscenter commercial for my Cribs' Flatscreen TV!".Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
To steal from another 2K game, NHL 2K, I'd love to have the ability to unlock a slew of alternate jerseys, retro jerseys, practice jerseys and classic teams and logos (with generic player names and loosely similar appearances - all available to edit).
To push it one step above the expected and mundane, I suggest the ability to unlock retro courts (not arenas, but just courts of mid-90's Spurs, 80's Mecca Bucks, '89 Palace, etc) and retro accessories (Kurt Rambis' glasses, Kareems' goggles, Antoine Carrs' night vision, Ben Wallaces' bicep bands, Bill Laimbeers' face mask, 1990's flattop, Dwayne Schintzius' mullet, 1960's retro shorts and off-white knee pads).
To take it to the top level, I would include unlockable dunks or unlockable dunk packages (1960's legend big man - one hand Wilt/Russell dunks with perhaps a palm but no hang or rim grab, 1980's flight - MJ rocking cradle and MJ logo, Wilkins and his windmills and double pump reverse, Dr. J - his cradle and his one hand soaring, palming dunks).
Finally, to bring this full circle, I would make this all readily available through code to those who can't stand unlocking things through performance. Some people just want to have access to everything that's on the game from the get go and that's completely understandable. I, on the other hand, have this weird thing with unlocking stuff.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
agreed with reactions.
after a ball goes out of bounds. players should point the other way showing its their ball immediately after the ball is dead.
and after fouls are called, the player going over to the ref and complaining.
Also technical fouls to the coaches, coaches getting ejected.Jerm

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I have seen players going to the ref complaining after a foul is called. It is usually when its their 4th or 5th foul. I seen Garnett do it today when he got his 4th.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
Personally I will like to see the following:
1. Overhaul the lay up system. I still see too many wide open lay ups.
2. Overhaul isomotion, this year the system isn't as smooth as last year.
3. Overhaul alley oop. Sure I have FINALLY mastered it, but I swear I see 97% of people online miss them. They need to put it back to the way it was last year or something.
4. Pregame shows, halftime shows and post game shows. YEARS ago every sport game had them, but in the past 5 years none of them have it.
5. Make the sweat sytem back to the way it was in 2k6.
6. Make dunks available from the get go, stop having so much stuff locked and forcing people to play dunk contest to unlock good dunk packages.
7. More blocks off the backboard.
8. Stop having players who aren't good at in real life, gods at in the game. For example, Nash blocking shots, Aaron Gray being a rebounding god on this game, so is Jerome James.
9. Keep up to date hairstyle PLEASE. Some of these guys stopped wearing braids YEARS ago. And some players been having beards for the past 2 years and they still don't have them in the game.
10. Alley oop off the backboard on a fastbreak. To yourself or to a trailing player.
11. Space discipline, I swear people on here bunch up sometimes when there is all that empty space.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I actually think oops are much much better(realistic) in 2k9 than in 2k8.They only need to tweak them a bit so you can throw 'em more successfully in half court sets.Gotsta git moar better.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
anybody interested in shoes? I am a 2k guy but one thing I admire live(from EA) is the detail of the shoes. Why not put some Jordan series(1 - 14 at least including the AJ2009) and more variety of shoes?NBAComment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I would surely be in favor of adding more shoes. The more the better I say. I would file this under "small details that could make a big difference when all put together in the grand sheme of things" alongside warm-ups, practice jerseys, full wardrobe of retro jerseys, inactive players in street clothes, glasses, and correct accessories (i.e. calf sleeves that stop short of a players' socks or high wrist bands with personalized initials and/or number).Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
This is what they should do with shoes:
-more models avaliable. If they have a license with Nike, Jordan and Adidas, why so few models avaliable? Also, shoes in edit mode could be done like that Nike ID thing. You get to edit color on different parts of shoe(sole, logo, tongue, etc.)
-detailed create a shoe option, for unlicensed shoes(reebok, converse, Starbury, Lining). That way shoe complaints would be solved once for all, IMO.
But, yeah, to hell with shoes if gameplay development is stagnant.Gotsta git moar better.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
When on the bench. players should be wearing warmups. with towels draped over their head. or used for celebrating after a big shot. Also there should be a waterboy behind the bench handing out cups during timeouts and when a player gets substituted outJerm
