I would really like to see NBA All-Star weekend put into the game. The whole 9. Hairer, Playsation Skills Challenge, 3 point shootout (without using the shoot stick), Slam Dunk Competion (Just like in real life, mean using a person for one of your dunks in the first round.) And for the All-Star game be able to do tricks not usually in a NBA game, like self alleys and different crossovers. If 2K does this no one will worry about any other basketball game because 2K will have all of it. Please reply if you think this is good.

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure players in warmups on the bench isn't possible yet. They'd have to actually take their warmups off when they're about to come in, and if they didn't, people would cry that it's fake that they magically come out of their warmups before they get on the court.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I think the the warmups are possible but maybe not for 2k10 a little too advanced for them...maybe 2k11? lol
I want to see better court spacing and see 3pt shooters moving like crazy to get open instead of just standing still.. also hope they fix the run plays so you can actually complete one before the shot clock goes down to like 1.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
What I would love to see in the game, maybe for 2k10 is asking too much, is a more advanced version of live updates.
What I think would be cool is if some how they could take the form, trades, injuries, gear changes, lineup changes, and make them available via a weekly - daily, whatever, update that affects your association.
So other than the team you control, the other teams play like their real life teams. Cause nothing ruins it more for me than having the celtics near the bottom of the east standings. And you cant force trades between other teams, so maybe that would be a good inclusion in the mean time.
What do you guys think?
edit:
I was just thinking about it and I think the biggest problem with my idea would be that most peoples association isn't at the same date as the real nba therefore it wouldn't work very well. So what if they created a separate association where you had to play your games on certain days, like the real life nba schedual, obviously people dont sit by the computers all day, well most people, so giving you a time period to complete your game would be good. What do you think? Like a live day by day association?Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
a quick one:
ray allens sig shot definitely has to be redone. he is known for having the most pure & smooth jumper and release - yet for the past few years I have to play with a guy who has a slow odd shot that doesnt resemble the real guy at all. It is not super quick like eddie house's, but it nothing like the current one. I would love to have the real ray allen shot instead of when coming off screens and getting a wide open 3...only to be blocked!
oh and rondo's move is a fake behind the back pass real quick, as he goes in for a layup. although I have seen him fake a layup like currently in NBA2k9 a couple of times, but clearly his move is the fake pass behind the back move as he does it at least once a game in real life..Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
Playbooks need to be updated, with TONS of Iso's and pick and rolls to reflect the current NBA game IRL.
And PLEASE...... for the 4th YEAR IN A ROW, give the CPU controlled team the ability to use the assigned team specific playbooks (only). And also utilize every play in the playbook, not just 2 or 3.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
Do something about the schedules in Association mode. Why does the All Star game move to Monday, Tueday, Wednesday, etc every season? And the All Star game should be played at different locations too in Association.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
One more thing we need is unforced turnovers. Players should throw the ball away, travel, commit off-ball fouls on offense, etc.
And I still don't know why right trigger+block makes us commit a foul almost every time. What's the point of having a "swat" button (as opposed to the simple contest without right trigger) if it's just gonna make us foul the shooter?
If a player has a high enough shot block rating, he should be able to swat without committing fouls every time
The commentary also needs to be improved, too. Here's some things I noticed that are kinda iffy:
When talking about star players or season veterans, Harlan rarely mentions IRL what college/high school they went to. He doesn't need to, most people already know. If he doesn't address the player by name, he'll just say "The [insert number]-year veteran." He also won't say something like that about LeBron or Wade, because how long they've been in the league isn't really relevant.
Also, if a player plays good perimeter/low post defense, Harlan should say something like "Oh, look at the great defense by _____!"
If one player goes on a scoring run also, Harlan should acknowledge it. If they keep shooting, he should comment something like "______ will fire again..." and should also acknowledge when a player scores a certain number of points in a row.
I could go on and on, but my final thought is this. Someone else on here said and I agree (in fact, I had been thinkin about it myself for a while) that 2K should just sit Harlan and Kellogg (or whoever) in front of dozens of games of 2K and just allow them to comment on what they see as if they were broadcasting a real NBA game. I realize that some things would happen that would never happen in a real NBA game, so you can just not put that commentary in the game, or you can if you want, doesn't really matter.Last edited by RayAP19; 03-02-2009, 01:42 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
And when a defender is trailing in transition and attempting to get a block on a fast-break layup, he should always leap forward and swat towards the basket so as to get a block against the backboard like so (in the event that it's not a canned animation-- canned animations would be good for LeBron/Josh Smith transition blocks, however. There are some present in 2K9, but they're too hard to get):
<object height="344" width="425">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D6KVLbJW1ek&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></object>
Also, it'd be pretty cool if players slapped the backboard when going for a block on the inside and not getting it.Last edited by RayAP19; 03-04-2009, 03:50 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
need to bring back 24/7 or a career mode for the game. also they need to add a feature were your team is losing badly and some one gets mad that will make it seem more realistic and have like a dramatic end game buzzer beater shotbut the one thing they really neeed to add is the career mode and throw the three point and dunk contest in association mode that will bring in more money but please
bring a career mode to the game

In addition, I'd like if created players were able to enter the Dunk Contest. . .or any player so long as their dunk rating were high enough.
I would also like the option to move the 3-point Shootout indoors and add actual NBA jerseys to the players (instead of the grey and black "street" uniforms).Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
I realized one of the staples for years that is always there to remind you that you're playing a video game and not watching the real thing is the end of quarter shots, oftentimes from half court or beyond. As another thing to do once everything else is already perfect, I think players, cameramen and the first few rows of fans should react realistically to a ball being thrown from 50+ feet away.
Today in a game of 2K9, for instance, Aaron Brooks shot a 60 foot buzzer beater that fell well short of the rim and hit Dirk Nowitski in the head, at which point the ball died and dropped softly to the floor while Dirk remained standing still near the bucket. It would just be a nice touch if Dirk had the awareness in game to catch the end of quarter shot or avoid it altogether (or react in discomfort if he really did get hit in the head, with the ball bouncing off rather than dropping softly).
If the forcefield around the court could be removed, it'd be nice to see an errant full court shot being avoided by camermen and bouncing into the stands, ultimately being caught by a fan or two. The removal of said forcefield would also lend itself to situations where emphatic blocked shots could also find their way into the stands (instead of hitting an invisible wall and slidiing down). Perhaps diving players could interact with the first three row of fans. I feel there would be a lot of potential in sliding that forcefield back a little bit. Though, I assume it is where it is now because memory would not allow the game to include any interactive rows of fans.Comment

Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist
They also need to bring back the "quick shot" animation. Like if there's .4 seconds, they should allow u to get off the quick shot.
Tip animations for rebounds. Maybe a quick tap would allow u to tip the ball and quick tap and direction would tip the ball in that direction. For a regular rebound, hold down the button for a more secure grab.Comment
