The things i would LOVE to see in 2k10 is
1. I would Love to see shots harder to make cause when i play against the computer our games go to 150+ points and thats just ridiculous. Please makes shot harder to make.
2. In association mode during the all-star break I would like to see the addition of the three point shoot out, dunk contest, skills test, half court shot contest and the fans decide through the dunks and threes made by players throughout the year who will participate. And one rookie participates in dunk contest.
3. I would like to see some more effort put into the draft class...i mean seriously the nba 2k9 draft class wasn't the best.. i drafted the number 1 overall rookie one time and in his personality it said he didn't care about winning, only wanted money and wasn't loyal plus his overall was 76? and he was known for his threes which was 78.
4.An idea posted before by someone saying the rebuilding process of a team. I do this all the time but i notice in the game teams that are really bad the computer doesn't even attempt to make them better all they do is fill out the roster.
5. I would like to see a online association mode, I realize this is very hard because people don't show up but I thought that there would be a message sent to you on your xbox live or ps3 account telling you that you have a game and if you fail to show up a computer will take your place and if you both don't show up by a certain day the game would be simulated.
6. Get new announcers and make them say different things and when your rookie is in and was the 1st overall draft pick make them recognize that and say something like "this rookie has a lot of potential to live up to."
7. PLEASE DO THIS ONE IF ANYTHING ELSE. Work on the prospects I know this was the first time they did this without college hoops so please I hope in 2k10 that you put more effort into the rookies because all rookies (picks 1 to 15) care about winning.
8. Please also improve the rookies faces and stats...they are terrible there is nothing more to say. They are just straight up terrible. There are a couple of faces that are good but as for stats they are all terrible.Comment

Another thing that they need to improve is the metacarpal movement. Why are the fingers still stiff and when they're layup the ball and all that other stuff? We need better ball to hand contact. More realism.......Comment

Not sure if it was covered, but here's my idea to revamp the aspect of being a General Manager in Association. Being a GM in association is extremely dry, basic and unrealistic. Think about it, the computer makes silly offers when you put players on the trade block and they put great players on the trade block for no reason off the bat. It's a cartoon and should be fixed, and here's what I would do:
Each player in 2K10 will have an "Availability" Rating. These ratings will be shown with a Star Rating.. Availability will determine if a General Manager is willing to trade his player or not. Here's how it will scale out, the asterisks are stars:
* = Untouchable, we will not trade this player.
** = Not available, but we'll listen to the right offer.
*** = Available for now, but anything can change.
**** = Available, but we are not in a rush to trade this player.
***** = Completely available, we want to trade this player.
So there's basically 5 levels of a player being available, with fractions (1/4, 1/2, 3/4) being used to minimally separate availability on each level. You will be able to choose your players availability rating for your teams before and during the season. However, also be aware that players availability can be influenced only by unhappiness. If a player is unhappy with his spot on the team, then his availability level will rise because his agent will want to see him on a new team.
Now say a player, lets use Michael Redd of the Milwaukee Bucks, has a 5-Star availability rating. The Bucks have made him completely available and want to trade him. Once he is made available, you can go to the trade market to see what exactly the Bucks want for Michael Redd. There are 3 necessities by the General Manager for this:
1. We want to trade this player to make our team better.
2. We want to trade this player for financial relief.
3. We want to trade this player to build for the future with younger players or draft picks.
Milwaukee has decided to pick option #2 for Michael Redd. Now you must come up with trades that will save the Milwaukee Bucks money. And determining on how much financial relief you can bring to them, there interest will reach near it's maximum and they will trade you Michael Redd. The same thing applies to when you want to pursue a 3-Team Deal. The players that are coming over from the 3rd team must fit the description of not only team taking them back but the team sending them out. This will make it realistically harder to pull off 3-team deals. Now, this is where I offer 2 expiring or short-term deals to Milwaukee in exchange for Michael Redd and maybe another player who's available to make salaries match. I submit the trade to Milwaukee.
However, trades will not automatically be accepted. Once you submit a trade, the team will decide upon your trade for a day or so and send you an email to your 2K Sidekick. The email will tell you if the trade appealed to their needs, whether they would like you add a particular player or draft pick along with a package, or whether they did not like your trade at all. If a trade happens to be accepted, then it will take a day or two for the players involved to take physicals for their new team, so the trade can be made official. During this time, you will not be allowed to play these players, but they will be on your roster.

Keys to victory.
Say one of the awful announcers say for the Cavs to win, they need to shut down Kobe.
So if they do they win, or if they don't they lose.
Kobe goes for 45 and 10 assists- Lakers win.
Kobe is held in check, roughly 20 points and few assists- Cavs win.
I'm not saying this should totally influence the outcome of they game, but it would be nice.
Also, Signature styles such as LeBron throwing the powder up in the air, KG talking to himself with his head on the basket, KG goaltending any shot after the whistle, Agent 0 turning around after he shot his buzzer beater and throwing his jersey into the stand, or Larry Hughes taking his jersey off in the middle of the game, etc.
Home and Away accessories. Dwight wears a black away sleeve and a white home sleeve, not always white, etc.
Jerseys should be automatic, sure people should be able to pick their teams jerseys, but it would be nice to see the Lakers always wear the white home on Sundays and holidays, or Chicago wear black on Martin Luther Kings Day, etc.
D-League, more detail into the draft, All-Star Weekend
Don't use pictures of NBA players for rookies. I swear I see like 15 Goran Dragic's pictures.
Pre-game intros, the ability to control the shootaround in it too. More detail into the halftime show and post game show. Have interviews with coaches or players.
More details into subroles. Say you want Ben Wallace out their for defense and rebounding, so then he shouldn't really be involved in the offence.
Players actually hurry at the end of game. I see players walking and to forcing shots up with less than a second to go.Purdue Boilermakers

have a blank shoe pallet of the new shoes in 2k10 and let us customize the shoe however we want because all shoes do not come in generic colors and also put the sock over the sleeve its been asked for years along with calf sleevesComment

In the defensive settings (when I pause the game); you currently only allow us to choose one defender for each offensive player in preferred matchups. Could you PLEASE allow up to 3 different matchups? One isn't nearly enough.
If I am the Spurs and I am playing the Lakers I would want Bowen, Udoka, and Manu to check him. In that order. But currently, if Bowen goes out of the game, I have to manually change the matchups again.
College Hoops allowed up to 2, I think 3 should be given to us.
Also, I feel we should be able to set defensive matchups/pressure/double team for teams/players (season, association, or even for a profile for exhibition/online games) before the game even starts.
In the real NBA, teams know how they will play teams BEFORE they play them. On April 1st, the Lakers know how they will defend Yao even if they play the Rockets on April 13th.
Also for some reason, our camera, coach settings NEVER save online. It is very annoying to have to do all of these things before each game.

If you set scouting on automatic, I would like to set priorities on who my staff scouts. For example, before they start scouting, I might need a PG on a bad team. So, what I want is to tell the scouts to scout PGs that are projected for the lottery. They would scout pgs first, then everyone else. Or tell them the priority would be to scout SGs that are projected to be within picks 1-20, or late first round, or top 5 or early second round, etc.Comment

Ummm, just do manual scouting if you want to get that particular. The whole point in the Automatic scouting is so people DON'T have to do all of that. The AI decides what you "NEED" based on current players, contract lengths, players ratings, potiential and all that. I'm telling you the AI doesn't do that. I had on auto scouting, a bad team with no point guards, on a team that had 2 solid Cs and a rookie C. The scouts spent the whole scounting centers.

10. Might as well just put the other all-star festivities in the game (at least just the 3 point shootout, the slam dunk contest and the skills challenge) and give us a choice to have them either outdoors or in the current all-star games arena)
11. Have the players leg accessories puff out instead of them looking like it’s part of there skin
12. On season and franchise modes have games of the day or games of the week
13. If 2k did game of the day. Just have whoever the commentators are for 2k10 just do that very game and the others no commentary at all

More legends...don't have to be hall-of-famers. Loved addition of Hornacek, Rodman, Larry Johnson...let's go for Barkley, Stockton, Reggie Miller, Kareem, Mutombo, Laimbeer.
All-Time teams ('96 Bulls...Magic/Kareem/Worthy era..***n TMC Warriors...or just one set of all-time players for each team). To free up some space, get rid of the draft classes/jordan brand players.

If Jordan refuses to be in the game...make a '96 bulls team anyway...just use "ROSTER GUARD" in for his name and #00 for his number...but apply his attributes and likeness to Jordan...same thing goes for other players that refuse to have themselves in the game (Barkley).Comment

Techinal Fouls in online play:
pause taunting (tapping pause rapidly) = technical foul. 1 FT + ball.
2 technicals = ejection (YOU the gamertag, not one of the players, gets booted and you get the loss)
this would be the best way to implement technical fouls in nba2k9 because it would be realistic. when coaches or players in the real NBA get mad they say or do stuff out of anger and get a T. when some nba2k9 players get mad, they pause taunt.
