        For ratings:
Keep the grading system. I think it would be a lot better instead of the numbers. Also, expand on the options of ratings. If they make the ratings expandable depending on the situation, this will only further the realism. We don't want our players doing bounce passes into traffic.

        For tendencies:
Add some of the categories from the coach profiles onto the player tendencies. Like fastbreak and crash boards. Also, put in things like if the player is usually setting a screen, or using the screen.

One think that should go in my opinion, is the "___ inbounds the ball" that Harlan says almost every time after a basket. I don't remember hearing commentators saying it on TV.

More player roles and more detailed roles

NBA Playoff games should have a huge difference in the atmosphere than a regular season game. I wanna see A lot more fans in the stands, harder fouls, expanded commentary, players hustling more and playing harder than in a regular season game.

How about a H.O.R.S.E event in Blacktop mode?

Have the NBA Draft Lottery During the Eastern/Western Finals of the playoffs

I liked the idea that someone posted last year about when it's a dead ball (after a foul or whatever) give the user a free 3-5 seconds of freedom with the ball. You might thing it's a useless feature but it's little things like this that make the game feel even realer/fun.

More names (specifically last names) for Create a player mode, getting pretty much all the last names from College Hoops 2k8 would be nice.

Modify the Practice Mode and add these mini-modes to it

Scrimmage - Here you could play against your own teammates, Practice Plays from your team Playbook, etc.

Free Throw Practice - Of course in this mini-mode you could work on your free-throws.

Self Practice - In this one you could select one Player from whatever team and practice your shooting, Dribbling, etc. (Allow us to shoot on both sides of the court)

Development Practice - In this mode there would be those Development Drills from association mode.

Also whatever player(s) I'm practicing with I should be at that Player's court, for example If I'm practicing with Tracy McGrady I should be practicing at the Toyota Center. (And it should be an empty arena of course)

Speaking of practice how about actually letting us do team practices in Association mode instead of always siming them.

Oh and for the billionth time, please add in-game saves this year.

                  Speaking of playoff atmosphere,
                  how about Dymanic Atmosphere.

The way it could work is:
                  Bigger crowds for bigger games.
Bigger crowds if your team has a winning record or in cities where there is more fan loyalty.
Even somewhat being able to control the crowd size by raising or lowering ticket prices.

Special fan days that the home user can select from options.
                  Like:
Artest Mohawk Day - People in the crowd have Mohawks
Tee Shirt Day - Lot of purple shirted Lakers fans
And the home team can get a slight boost in clutch factor during these games.

                  Different game times, different Atmospheres.
Late games and it's a blow out, maybe the crowd starts thinning depending on who is winning.

This will add that 6th Man effect to the game, where it is currently non existant.

I don't know if these were mentioned but it would be cool to see the mascots on the court with their givaway guns and slingshots throwing out t shirts and fans with the colored t shirts in the playoffs.

A whole new defensive system. Help/rotating defense.

A new passing system that would blend with the new defensive system. Make the "drive-and-kick" strategy relevant and effective.

                          1. Superstar mode/career mode, or whatever you want to call it. The life of the NBA, NBA09 has it, and EA has done it with their football games. 2k kind of had it with that street mode where you played games, went through a tournament and then was drafted into the NBA. That was a great start, but it needed A LOT of work.

                          A. If College Hoops comes back, put this into it and be able to bring the player up the NBA. You would be ranked as a player and set into a mock draft, teams that have interest will invite you to workouts, and you'll go to rookie work outs to perform a set of drills and games, ect...just like they do in real life.

                          B. If CHs is done for awhile, make it where you can create a player, or take over ANYONE (even a D-league player) in the NBA and play as them. If you create a player or take over a FA, then you get invited to a number of draft camps and such. Perform your way onto an NBA roster.

Once your on a team you would go through the practices (if you choose to), to improve your player, your team and you chances of playing time. You will also develop a playing style. Example: Your a point guard and you always find the open man, you take shots when your open and make them, play hard all around and do well on defense. If that's the case then you would be well liked and trusted by your teamates - playing inside what your role is, WHICH your coach would somewhat assign you to. Then there is the other things you could do, like slack off on defense, miss wide open shots, shoot too much, ect ect, or play outside of the role you have been assigned. If you are unhappy with your role, you can perform outside of your role, only if you do it in the right manner. Example: Your job is to play rebound and play defense, but you want to score. Say your team is getting killed, and you take over the game and win...your coach might promote you to more of a scoring role and you'll be trusted with more shots, or more oppertunites to prove yourself.

You'll hire an agent to perform things like promoting you and such to other teams in case your unhappy or want a bigger contract, ect ect.

I personally would love this mode and have been wishing for it for a few years, but getting Association mode and things like that are more important to me, but this would be a killer mode that would grab the attention of a bunch of people.

                          2. A more improved Association mode. Now I haven't played the full version of 2k9 so bare with me. The D-League NEEDS to be added. There are so many players in there that always get 10 day contracts and whatnot, it NEEDS to be added. Training camps need to be added, put your whole team through workouts, not just one or two players each season, but be able to focus on the weaknesses of each player. Similar to how you can do in CH with the practices, and even put the practice thing in NBA2k10. Better coaching options and schemes - it's always needed improvement and from what I hear it still does. Other little things like being able to set ticket prices, food prices, additions to arena, FAN days, ect ect.
-Fantasy draft mode: BE ABLE TO SIGN THE DRAFT PICKS! Last season in 2k8, you'd pick your team and then go look at the salaries, if you'd pick say Kevin Durant or Oden in the first round they'd be making Kobe money. Are you serious? Why don't their real contracts stay with them in this? Or at least be able to sign the players, so if you don't want 15 players you can cut it to 12.

^I'll add more to this when I play the game, but there will always be areas of improvement for this.

DC has some great ideas too...cosign with him.
Yo that feature right there made Madden NFL 2004(Mike Vick on the cover) one of the best Madden games ever. If 2K Sports incorporates something like that but even better into their games, that would set back EA's LIVE series a few more years. lol

                            Re: NBA 2k10 Wishlist

                            Gameplay Issues-

Coaching/Rotation Flexibility- I want to be able to prescribe that with a certain lineup in, the coaching will automatically change or be selectable without dragging all the various coaching bars. If I put in my "bench mob" with more athletic players who aren't as good at shooting off screens, etc then I want their game style to switch without the tedious task of adjusting each bar manually in game. Let me set it in some kind of coaching menu before I get into the game.

Rotation (Continued)- Beyond just minutes to be played by whom. Allow the user to establish the actual rotation and various groupings to typically be used. For instance, I want to set a rotation so that with about 3-4 minutes to go in the first quarter that I sub out my PG so that at the beginning of the second quarter he comes out with the bench mob. Instead I'm either turning auto subs off and putting significantly more time into making sure my "rotation" is actually rotating or turning auto-subs on and being frustrated.

                            Defensive Rotations/Double Teams-
Especially in the post, the CPU players do not rotate. The entry passer is left on the double, no one rotates around, and he gets wide open three point shots. Have the defense rotate around (moreso the higher the help defense coach slider is set) to force the offense to swing the ball around the perimeter, opening up significantly more realistic basketball situations.

Defense (Continued)- The CPU doesn't seem to provide much variety in how it plays the pick and roll. After well over 100 games played on 11 minute quarters I still rarely see much difference. Teams should have coaching ideals about how they attack the pick and roll. Teams should have a philosophy (that obviously can change if that idea proves to be ineffective) whether it's a team that starts out focused on trapping the ball handler, simply showing the big and chasing around the screen or going underneath, give us different styles to play against. Have that philosophy tied to how an individual is being played as well. A player you're playing tight would be doubled or trapped in a pick and roll situation, one you're sagging off the defender is more likely to go underneath.

                            Gear/Atmosphere Improvements-

Home/Road Sets- Allow to set different colors of arm sleeves/sweatbands depending on which uniform is worn. Add in different options for alternate uniforms that do not have the team's current colors. The main issue though is that currently in the NBA players need to wear sleeves, etc that match with their uniform. For instance, in home white jerseys most player wear white arm sleeves, and in road colored jerseys they either match the color or wear black arm sleeves. Head bands already have this function automatically.

Arena Atmosphere- Against rivals and especially during the playoffs the arena needs to have things like matching t-shirts. Later in the season when a particular home player is in the top 5 consideration for the MVP and is having a great game, MVP chants would be awesome. Also in the playoffs the crowd should stand more often and react more severely to great plays, calls against the home team, lead changes, etc. In addition, if you have a dead eye shooter and he gets an open look behind the arc the "three" yell could start before he even puts the rock up.

Broadcast Atmosphere- Guys at the desk at halftime. More in depth analysis throughout. If I'm hitting the three because of the double in the post, mention that. If the pick and roll seems to be setting up the CPU offense, talk about how I'm playing the pick and roll, and changes I might want to make. Replace Clark Kellogg.

                            Association Improvements-

More coaching- As outlined in the rotations. Make practices less about short term bursts to individual attributes and more about developing team chemistry, especially between various 5 man units. Practices where you can direct certain players to react certain ways without the user himself controlling him. Teach your center that can shoot to step out when you get drive penetration, teach your back up PF that can't to try to get open close to the hoop away from the defense. Also the ability through practice to learn some of the player-specific moves in a similar manner to the tutorial.

Plays- The ability to create your own plays. Significantly more variety in the types of offenses, especially when a play is NOT called. When the offense is just free-wheeling, it's always a 3-2 or a variation on it. What if I want to be a 4 around 1 team and get my center or PF some mid-range looks off ball movement. Right now that's very difficult to accomplish on a regular basis.

Better Rookies- The incoming rookies need to have more accurate size. In general they're all too heavy. Allow the user to control the weight and height of the players through the edit player tool. Generated rookies should have more realistic attributes as well, more inline with the rookies implemented into the game.

Calf sleeves - should never go over the sock. A low shock should always appear OVER the calf sleeve.

Please add a pass fake. Also, Kobe & LeBron spin moves to the basket need to be toned down. Some people just abuse this and spin move their entire way down court, and can't be stopped.
