Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Ugh, I've lost my last two games. I lost to the Warriors 114-110 in a game that I honestly should have won. No real reason I didn't win, I just blew it in the end. Then I got smashed by the Lakers. I can't remember the score but it was by over ten. They're biggest lead was 15 and I got it as close as 2 in the fourth before they pulled away. No answer for Kobe in this game. He just blew past whoever I had guarding him and dunked it. That was my last game before the All-star break. I had Carlos Boozer in the All-Star game, but simmed it. The East won, 94-92. Low scoring game for the All-Star game.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
4-0 with Pistons, I decided to restart and play all 82 games it seems more realistic to me that way. The only trades I have made was Aaron Afflalo and a 2nd round for Brent Barry only because Afflalo was unhappy and Kwame Brown for Johan Petro because Kwame was unhappy. Will Bynum is the only unhappy player left but I haven't been able to find a trade for him yet.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
What do you guys think about this lineup?
09-10 Charlotte Bobcats
Starters
PG: D.J. Augustin (79)
SG: Allen Iverson (88) [No I didn't want AI. Granger was a FA and I had the cap room to get him but he opted to go back with Indiana. I needed another scorer in my lineup and Iverson was the only guy worth signing. He's small to play SG but I honestly had very few options. Marquise Daniels wasn't the answer IMHO...neither is AI but I only have him two years.]
SF: Gerald Wallace (85)
PF: Boris Diaw (80)
C: Hasheem Thabeet (81) [#4 pick. Traded Okafor to Indiana for the #4 pick. They had cap room and only had Hibbert at center. They get a veteran and I get the upside of a potentially great defensive center.]
Main Reserves
PG/SG: Stephen Curry (76) [#5 pick (original pick). HUGE reach but I wanted a backup PG/SG and a shooter. He's a beast and a local kid, had to get him.]
SF: Kareem Rush (74)
C: Nazr Mohammed (72)
PF: Tyler Hansbrough (70) [#20 pick in the draft. Traded my 2010 1st round pick for this selection. I like Hansbrough, sue me. Obviously I made his rating realistic so don't hate too much.]
Bench Warmers
SG: Matt Carroll (73)
PG: Sean Singletary (73)
C: Alexis Ajinca (71)
Inactive
PF: Juwan Howard (70)
Thoughts on the season...
Well my team is small at the guard position. Bigger guards like Kobe and Tracy McGrady are going to dominate my guys. Honestly I have no idea how I am going to have a chance defending them.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
How did you get those real life rookies on your team?
Anyway, I am something like 33-19, a half game ahead of the Lakers for 2nd in the West and 8 behind Houston for 1st. Detroit and Houston have the best records in the L.
The Jazz and Suns are struggling. PHX is about 3 games out of the 8th seed and Utah is around the 3rd or 4th worst team in the West. I was finaly able to re-do a trade the Jazz and Grizz made earlier (Okur for Conley), so both teams are almost back to stock...
I am tempted to make a move. My team is very sporadic. One stretch I can win 10 in a row, then I can alternate wins and losses for 2 weeks. Blake demanded a trade and Diagu and Frye are close to it.
Oden is 2nd in ROY voting and won ROMonth the past 2months. No All-Stars this year.
The trade deadline is a week away. I am thinking of trading the afforemention for a 1st rounder or packaging them for a Gerald Wallace type. I have been offered Bargnani and Tyrus Thomas for Blake on the trading block, so I may have to take them up on that one.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
The duo of Amare Stoudemire and Jason Richardson is turning out to be deadly. They complement each other so well for me. A two man game of Stoudemire and Richardson is damn near impossible to stop. Help to far, and Amare has the whole lane for a nasty jam. Don't help enough, J-Rich is a money 3 point shooter. Slack off, Richardson drives baseline for the thunderious jam!
This trade really paid off.
Amare: 26ppg/10rpg/2bpg
Jason Richardson: 18ppg, 3rpg, 3apg
HELP: Now that I have Jason Richardson on my team, the minutes are very low for Leandro Barbosa. I don't want to be giving him this amount of money to get 20 minutes per game. Any ideas on players I could land for him? Would like to get a solid PF backup that can give me 14-18 good minutes per night. No all-star, just a player who does the dirty work who is cheap. I was thinking like a Paul Milsap.
I also would like to try and get a SG out of the trade. If not, trade one of my SF's (I have 4).
Nash/Dragic
Richardson/Barbosa
Barnes/Hill/Dudley/Tucker
Amare/Amundson
Shaq/Lopez/Hollins
I am thinking either trade Dudley or Tucker for a SG. Any ideas. Another player who can give me 15-18 minutes off the bench. No star, just a quality player who does his job and knocks down the open J.|Suns|Cardinals|Diamondbacks|Sun Devils|Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I turned "edit prospects" on and went in and spent a good 2 hours editing ~20 guys.
I chose a picture that looked like the created guy could somewhat appear like the real life counter part. Turned out pretty good IMO, or as good as it could.
Honestly I rated the rookies too low haha!
First game against Yao and the Rockets wasn't very good...I was down by 25 at one point and ended up losing by 9. I went on an 11-0 run to end the game. I need to adjust steals a little bit and boost Thabeet's stamina. He was unable to play more than 20 minutes.
Check above.
-----
Lost my first game to Houston 107-98 I believe. Yao had 30/22/6 ast/3 blk and was DOMINANT.
I had 4 guys in double figures but I was DOMINATED on the boards like 50-20. It was embarrassing. Tyler Hansbrough had 6 boards off the bench for me to lead my team. It was UGLY and I really need to focus on boxing out in my next matchup.
Fortunately I don't have to face Yao again.
Boss
As a Bobcats user I can vouch that J-Rich is a beast in the game. His J is pretty easy to get down and his range is amazing. I hate the fact they traded him away! If I had him at SG right now I'd be so much better off!!!Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I have to restart one more time lol, my bro decided our pc should be completely redone so we have to reinstall everything. I have no idea who I am gonna use this time. Good thing about being from Bama is with professional sports I don't have to be loyal to any specific team cause we ain't got one but college is of course the one and only Crimson Tide.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Well steewat I think your line up is quite good, but the fact that you got AI instead of Granger definitely hurts you. I have tough times to score with AI and Granger is just bigger and stronger you can even post up nicely with him. I also think that Meka is better than Thabeet aint he? I mean Thabeet has size and D. But Meka is stronger, well conditioned and brings some offensive post presence at least.
So I am playing with the Mavs. Right about now Im 6-5 for third in the SW division. This is my lineup:
C Dampier
PF Dirk
SF Howard
SG Stackhouse
PG Kidd
6th Terry
7th Bass
8th Diop
9th George
10th Barea
11th Williams
12th Green
IR Singleton
IR Wright
Played Terry as a starter the first games but he turned out to be better when coming off the bench as a reserve for Kidd and Stack.
Dirk is averaging 27 and 10 and is shooting a nice .57% from the field so far. I feel like hes a bit too strong. Since coming off the bench Terry had three straight 20+ games.
I won the first two games and then lost four in a row (Cavs, Nuggets, Spurs, LAC). I answered with a four game stretch beating the Lakers, Bulls, Magic and Knicks). But I lost my last game against the Bobcats (!) ... tough so far.
I dont feel like I need to pull any trades right now.Comment
