    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

    Team: Memphis Grizzles
Difficulty: All-Star 10 mins; nogsters sliders and rosters

Well just lost a game to the rockets 125-94. The game wasn't even close. Mayo's 31 pts, 8 rebounds and 8 assist couldnt helped me. I never took the lead. The most I down was by 32. Even when the Rockets had Mutombo, Scola and Hayes on the floor together, we could do squat. Yao Ming completely destroyed me scoring 24 pts and grabbing 16 rebounds along with 6 blocks and 2 steals and assists. I couldn't head fake against this team. Whenever I attepmt it, STEAL!!!. The Rockets had 20 steals altogether with Alston and Battier leading the way with 6 each.
There were many instances where i would slam the controller down out of frustration. I know its just a game but gosh it seems real to me, thats how real NBA 2K9 is lol.

Im currently 27-35, tied for 10th place and the chances of me making the playoffs is none. At this point im looking towards the offseason. I dont know what could be the problem. I try to get everyone on the team involved besides Mayo and Gay but dammit no one is stepping up. I shouldve traded Conley when I had the chance. Hell Lowry is doing a better job than him. Gasol is soft as pudding and Arthur is still a development. No depth in the bench whatsoever. I have some major reconstruction this offseason for this team.

Ill keep yall updated if a "miracle" happens...

My only assets I am willing to move are Blake, Watson, Webster, both 1sts (Bobcats and Thunder) and Thabeet.
Well, shoot, was ready to move on Gerald Wallace and he is banged up 2-4 weeks.
I need to make a move though and I may just overpay for Granger. Indy is going no where and I can offer Thabeet and 2 high picks (Char is currently last) plus cap relief.

        Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Well, with Wallace off of the market and a move needing to be made to consolidate, I threw the house at Granger.

        I traded
        Steve Blake (78)
        Martell Webster (80)
        Hasheem Thabeet (78)
        2010 OKC 1st
        2010 Charlotte 1st
        2010 PDX 2nd

        For
        Danny Granger (85)
        Jimmy Oakley (fictional C)
        2010 Indy 2nd

Not sure I will keep it, but it sure does shore up the 7-8 man rotation.

Well I just wrapped up playing my first season as the Grizzles and I must say it was a struggle. The Orlando Magic defeated the Houston Rockets in the finals 4-3. We finished the season with a 32-50 and had the 4th pick in the draft. I declined Buckner's player option and didnt resign anyone cause I feel they wasnt producing (Miles, Warrick, Ross and some other guy). So in the draft, I drafted Blake Leach in the first round. A 6'6" 233lbs SF that can be a major upgrade from Miles as hes a backup to Gay. In the second round, I drafted a kid named Reggie Houston. A 6'7" 200lbs SG. In free agency, I managed to grab Carlos Boozer for a post threat and Quentin Richardson to give my bench some depth. I was looking at Milsap as my starting PF since he was much younger than Boozer but I wanted Boozer cause I felt he can take the attention and pressure from Gay and Mayo. My team is basically the same but just added one major piece to make us a legitimate threat in the Western Conference.

          Cap Room: $3.87M

          My starting 5:

          PG Mike Conley 79
          SG OJ Mayo 86
          SF Rudy Gay 82
          PF Carlos Boozer 87

I like it. You have that young core of guys, and then the veteran team leader in Boozer. Should be good enough for a playoff spot.

              Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

I won another championship on my Raptors chise, which was my second in a row. Robert Horry retired during the offseason. As well, I let Bargnani go to free agency. I did, however, sign Lamarcus Aldridge to a five year deal. I also traded Jason Kapono to Utah for Kyle Korver and I picked up Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Luke Ridnour from free agency. My new roster:

              Roko Ukic
              Anthony Parker
              Shawn Marion
              Lamarcus Aldridge
              Chris Bosh
              Kris Humphries
              Clarence Baldwin
              Shareef Abdur-Rahim
              Kyle Korver
              Luke Ridnour
              Vitaly Potapenko
              Jerome James

I went 2-5 during the preseason, and the regular season didn't start very well for me. I lost my opener 99-98 against the Bobcats thanks to a buzzer beating three by Danny Granger. I then thumped the Knicks in the second game to go to 1-1, which is where I stand heading into my next game, which is against the Chicago Bulls.

These are the trades i made in the trade thread

These are my trades for my '10 knicks roster.

Greg Monroe(2nd year forward, picked 4th overall)
                  to BUCKS for:
John Wall(rookie PG, also 4th overall)

This trade sures up my front court, adds a great prospect and big athletic PG to run my franchise for a while. Bucks already had sessions running point and there best PF was Warrick so this helps them out too, though monroes upside isnt near the level of wall, hes much better than him now.

                  THREE TEAM TRADE:

                  Knicks;Q.Rich(to TOR), 2nd pick(to TOR), R.Butler(to TOR),B.Simmons(to PHI)
                  Raptors;R.Mason(to NY)
                  76ers;Jason Smith(to NY)

Simmons is on minimum contract and rated 78, so philly saves 2mil on smiths contract plus there loaded at PF and C.
Raptors get two good shooters in Butler and Richardson as well as a good second rounder.
NYK get to gamble on a prospective big and secure a good consistent shooter in mason, but he has a ridiculous contract courtesy of raptors general manager.

                  NEW ROSTER
                  Duhon/Wall/Livingston
                  Mason/McCleod(rookie)
                  James/Gallinari
                  Lee/Jeffries/Doleac(FA)
                  Moore/J.Smith-or-Dampier

                      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Amidst all the Amare trade rumors, I got excited and tried to forge a trade with the Grizzlies (Amare was my main guy in 2K6 but I haven't messed with him since). Eventually it worked out, and a month into the season I'm really struggling to avoid simming ahead to 2010 because...

PG: Lowry (leading league with 56 assists per 100 possessions), Francis
                      SG: Mayo, Ross, Buckner
                      SF: Gay, Miles
                      PF: Stoudamire, Arthur, Warrick
C: Jeff Foster, Stoudamire, Dwayne Jones

Grizzles trade Marc Gasol, Darko Milicic, 2009 1st Round Pick and Mike Conley to the Suns for Amare Stoudamire.
Grizzlies trade Marko Jaric to Indiana Pacers for Jeff Foster.

                      My future looks like this...

                      08-09: +$14.34mil cap room, -750k budget
                      09-10: +$30.62mil cap room, -254k budget
                      10-11: +$59mil cap room, +$10.32mil budget
                      lolz

Our record is 6-7 with majority simmed, I think I am 3-0 in games played. We traded for Foster right before I posted this because our rebounding is atrocious, I don't know how that will affect the team yet especially since Jaric played pretty effective 8-10mins a game drawing charges. It's hard not to resist moving ahead though, might create two saves from this roster.

I couldn't resist simming ahead at least one season. :-P I'm scheming big time for next year, I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do but I made a conscious decision to pile up on star power by passing up on Luc Richard, who was 1st Team All-Rookie. My goal is still LeBron, but perhaps Wade instead at this point.

Roster heading into the season...I'll try to update on this year as it goes...

                          PG: Mayo (89); Lowry (78 6th Man)
                          SG: Turkoglu (84); Wells (75); Buckner (68)
SF: Gay (91); Ryan Gomes (79)
                          PF: Stoudamire (94); Arthur (80)
                          C: Nesterovic (75); Haddadi 73

                          Chemistry: 64%
                          09-10 Cap: +$4.52mil
                          10-11 Cap: +$48.65mil
                          11-12 Cap: +$50.15mil
Expiring Contracts: Lowry, Nesterovic, Gay, Arthur (TO), Gomes (TO), Mayo (TO), Stoudamire (PO), Buckner (PO)

My biggest fears heading into the season: Too much size clogs up the court; Turkoglu loses playmaking ability without a true center to feed off of; too much star power leads to struggles to find touches for everyone; underachieving leading to an inability to sign LeBron or even worse Gay leaving in FA (would rather resign Gay than just get LeBron).

What to do with my wing situation once I got LeBron would be anyone's guess, hence possibly grabbing Wade instead.

He was a 2010 free agent signing.

also add, ive just signed joey dorsey to replace some of my injured bigs(i messed withthe durarbility sliders, now every players fallen)
