More so than moving them, I believe footwork should be implemented into the game, especially posting up. One of Kobe's biggest advantages over most NBA players is footwork, so if he has his bball input into the game, hopefully we'll see that in NBA 2K10.Comment

Do people think that just because Kobe is on the cover that he'll contribute to the game outside of being the cover athlete? Has anyone at 2K even confirmed this?
Bad to just assume things...Comment

That's why I have been saying "IF" he has input. Doubtful, but it'd be nice. You should know that 2K hasn't said anything at all yet.Comment

Re: OS, Let's Get CONSTRUCTIVE: What did you like from the older 2K's?
Playing this game as long as I have been has keyed me on some stuff that I really liked from other games in the series.
*College Hoops*
I liked the Coaches Clipboard in that it kept things clear, had a few things about the opposing team's style/best player, let you set up your defensive matchups and tendencies, and didn't get bogged down in 85 sliders for Help D Strength (exaggeration before anyone gets hurt).
I think the Help D in general was better in CH2k8 than it's ever been on any current gen 2k.
I liked to be able to choose when I threw a specific pass too. That's a huge thing for me, since in 2k9 I'm constantly throwing the wrong pass, and it's getting frustrating. Bounce passes where a chest pass was the right one and vice versa.
*Past games*
I think that goaltending has never been as bad as it is right now. It's whistled way too much, along with offensive interference, and not only that, it's called when it shouldn't be, but not called when it should. IIRC a player is not allowed to grab or touch the rim while a shot is on the rim, nor can they stick their hand in the basket without there being a goaltend call. It happens a lot in 2k9.
I don't think there's ever been a game in the series where you have as many guys pulling up unnecessarily, nor did we have the problem where guys pass up an easy left hand layup to do something weird like a half spin and clunk the ball off front rim. There are way too many situations like that, where an animation will play that just completely screws up the immersion and makes you question what the hell just happened.Last edited by Dynamite; 07-02-2009, 08:25 PM.Our purchasing power is being eroded. So especially now, the goods must be held to a standard. We end up happier as consumers, and the companies get a clear message: "We won't tolerate sub-par goods." It's a shame, no one cares to speak with their wallet.Comment

I never realized how many great things have been removed from 2K over the years (often in exchange for new great things). It'd be nice if we could hang on to all those little things.Comment

Not really that good with expressing gameplay issues, but I definitely know about the cosmetic stuff that bugs me. First off all I'd like to see the blur on the court's artwork gone, that blur on the logos on the floors just makes the game look so...meh.
I'd like to see 2K put the Finals patch back on jerseys during The Finals like in 2K5 as that added another layer of realism to the game.
I'd also like to see something done about those incoming rookies. Some of these guys are just the most hideous creations ever imagined and not being able to change anything about they're features but they're eye colors sucks. How about giving us the option of editing facial features, like hair, facial hair, hair color, head shapes and shades at the least.
It would also be nice to see the crib make it's triumphant return. If not this year, definitely for 2K11.
That's all I can think of for now.Comment

Re: OS, Let's Get CONSTRUCTIVE: What did you like from the older 2K's?
I missed the stats system. I think 2k4 had it the best. There were like 2 players averaging 30+ (Tmac, and AI) and the rest were 25-30, and it seemed just right. Rebounding was great too there was some 14, and it just seemed like realistic stats.
Now in franchise mode, scoring is okay, as well as assists, but rebounds seem to be the worst category (top rebounders average 10)Comment

2K8 had the most responsive dribbling, it had the best crossover. You didn't have to swirl the right stick different directions to get a crossover, just move the left stick, viola crossover.
I think Edubbs mentioned this one earlier, Coach Mode, so you can make your substitutions easier."I've Altered The Deal..."Comment
