Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I am only getting 38-40 fps in game, but it's stable and completely stutter-free so I am more than happy with it. I have AA and AF maxed out in my Nvidia control panel and the game is gorgeous. Like most, my player models are on medium because of the cloth physics but everything else is on High in-game
my specs
Athlon 64x2 5000
3gb ram
Vista sp2

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Laptop specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core QL-60 1.9GHz, Ati Radeon HD 3200 HyperMemory Video card(up to 1408 resolution), 3GB DDR2, a 16" cine cyrstal TFT lcd.
For 2k10 I have the players set to med, crowd low, stadium low MSAA at 4 and disabled cloth physics. For even faster gameplay I sometimes even play at a 800X600 resolution, the players look very VERY decent and cool. The graphics remind me of the wii version of 2k10 but here on my laptop it looks way more realistic, particularly the skin of the players. The game by the way is running at a stable 25 fps.
Nba 2k10 of course doesn't look anything amazing here on this dual core laptop with a Radeon 3200 HD Card I'm using but it's very decent, fast and smooth with the settings I use. Also, the stadiums still look very good on low settings. The floors are very glossy and shiny.
This game is very enjoyable by the way and loads of fun. As of now I don't care if the graphics aren't stunning to look at, I'm just enjoying the gameplay. Cheers.Last edited by MM30; 10-18-2009, 06:00 PM.Comment

Note to Tiburon Marketing:
A great product sells itself, no "back of the box" features required! (See Fifa...)

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Still wondering about my beloved Drive Cam. Without it playing smooth, it's a no-go. I play Baseline High on NBA Live, which isn't quite a Drive Cam, but it does remind me of 2k Cam. What I want is my Drive Cam back with no framerate issues. How did they mess this up so bad over the last two years!

If you have $120 to spare...

You will see a good 50fps on medium, guaranteed. Your processor is very good for gaming.
EDIT: I should note to those who say PSU is "too small", my PC probably at peak hits 350w, with a PII overclocked at 3.2 and a 9800GT.
While the PSU probably has low amperage, I have no doubts it could probably run a 9800GT. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the E5x00 series uses 65w? 9800GT gets like 120w. Some room to spare.
PSU needs are often overdone. The most high end PC on OpSp probably uses around 500w, and yet I'm betting people are running 1K power supplies. The only reason to have a large PSU is for future "upgrade-ability", nothing else.Last edited by godsgift2dagame; 10-18-2009, 06:18 PM.Comment

Anyone know how to get mods installed on the STEAM version of this game? I really want to change the icons to 360 ones.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
ok guys help me solve this one...I can turn AA to 16 in my Nvidia Control Panel and 8x in game or completely turn off AA in both and there's only a 2 or 3 fps deviation, if that...I know the AA works because I can see a difference between the two settings. My cpu is dual core 2.6 ghz so it shouldn't be that big of a bottleneck should it?
Any other game there would be a huge framerate disparity but in 2k10 I don't leave from around 40 fps(vsync OFF everywhere before it gets asked)
The only thing that seems to affect my fps is high player models with drops me to 15-20
I just do not understand the performance in this game( or the fact that running the benchmark gives me a 'low fps' rating)
any thoughts?Comment
