It looks awesome, and I am very interested to see how well it gets modded.
Go to Start - Run, and type dxdiag and press enter

A screen will pop up showing you your computer.

System will show your memory and processor
Display will show your video card

Those 3 things are the basics of what we'll need to know if your computer is fast enough.

Although your video card is of low end(mid-range gaming card),your computer is still powerful enough. The player quality may need to be set to medium ... disable cloth physics.

This video shows how the game looks and plays on a 2ghz dual core cpu computer(4 gb ram) using the GeForce 8600 video card with the settings:

1280 x 720, VSync OFF, NO MSAA, Crowd Detail - HIGH,
Player - MEDIUM, Stadium - HIGH, Sideline Characters - ON, Texture Quality - HIGH, Depth Of Field - ON, Floor Reflection - ON.

Thanks, so basically, if I want it to run smooth as glass, I need to make it so the uniforms don't flap around and stuff?

You will experience a lot of lagging and slow downs with the player models set to high (high enables cloth physics) using a geforce 8400 video card. Cloth physics will be way too much for this particular video card. On medium settings you will get no lagging and very smooth playback.

You should be able to run it somewhere between low and medium I'd think.

erkizzlemynizzle, do you have the game already? This below is how your nba 2k10 config file should look for the geforce 8400 video card. Make sure you backup your original config file before making these changes.

Video resloution (width and height settings) can be changed to your preference ... I just figured 1280X720 would good for the geforce 8400 card. The higher you set your video resolution by the way, the game will look much sharper but gameplay will become slow and laggy.

                        VIDEOSETTING_WIDTH = 1280

Definitely. It would especially run perfectly smooth if player models are set to medium (cloth physics disabled).
At med graphics the game will still look great. The mobility Hd 4570 is a really good lower middle class card.

At a lower video resolution (set the game to 1024x768)you should also be able to play smoothly with player models set high(cloth physic enabled).

i'm really surprised at how well this game runs.

i got a quad core 2.4 (q6600) and 8800GT and vsync on at 1680x1050, everything high, AA x4, MSAA lvl 4 and i get rock solid fps at 64 (vsync'd). i previously had crowd on medium and lower AA but even when i bumped these up, my fps stayed locked in high.
