Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Yeah i found that odd too. I thought maybe it turned vsync off for the benchmark to get your "true fps". but it looks smooth in the benchmark, as opposed to during a game when i have vsync off and it looks jittery.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
My specs are, Intel Core Quad Q8300 @ 2.50, GTX 285 and 6GB of RAM. I get a stable FPS of 54 on everything high, V-sync ON, and @1900X1200. It's playing without any issues but just curious shouldn't I get a higher FPS then 54 with this computer?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Not at that resolution. Plus, I'm guessing you might be getting bottle-necked by that CPU. Low clock speed, sure quad, but still. 6GB RAM? What? Why? You're better having 4GB running in dual-channel than 6GB in single channel.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Don't know. My Dell computer came with 6GB of RAM. Is the process for upgrading a CPU easy as changing a GPU? Maybe I'll upgrade my CPU.

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
How do I see the list of names of people online (if there's such thing)? How do I play someone online? I'm really having a hard time to understand the online feature, since it's new to me. Can anyone please explain it to me?My Specs:

CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
That's weird...I wanted to see if Best Buy has 2K10 for PC, and I found out that now PC isn't even on the list anymore. There's only PS2, PSP, Wii, PS3 and 360.My Specs:

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
If it is a newer motherboard it might be running DDR3 ram which runs in triple channels mode. So 3 sticks of 2gb DDR3 would equal 6gb. Be prepared for the future as RAM pairings are being replaced with Triplets in most case so we'll be seeing multiple of 3 like: 3GB, 6GB, 12GB and 24GB most of the time. What I want to know is how newer core i7 laptops are running DDR3 with only 2 RAM slots? Some have 6gb of RAM so two 3GB sticks? Whoever heard of a 3gb stick of RAM? Weird.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Here's the problem with that theory.
Socket 775 (Q8200) processors use a 775 motherboard, which allows ddr2. I've seen motherboards for that socket with ddr3, however, they are dual channel. Only i7 use triple-channel. Basically, Dual channel is still used for DDR3, like it is for DDR2. That is, unless you're using the aforementioned Socket 1366.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
This is too much tech for me!I have a Dell XPS 430 which I bought from Bestbuy 3-4 months ago. I know it has a memory of 2-1-2-1 which equals to 6GB of RAM. I know it is a socket 775 and they are DDR3. My question is what if I buy 2X2GB of RAM and replace them with the 2X1GB ones. Would that make it dual channel? Or is my system dual channel already?
I would assume that since this is only a sports game it wouldn't be demanding. But oh well I guess it is demanding.
So what's the final word? Upgrade the CPU to get a better FPS in this game? Any other solutions?Last edited by lazoli; 10-20-2009, 10:52 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I am having major issues with the controller becoming nonresponsive.
I tried using 2 controllers and they both do it during certain drills. I would have to use the keyboard to go to the menu then back to game for my player to be controlled with the controller.
I have to do this with every reset in the drill too.
Using a ps3 controller and used a saitek p880 controller.
The drills it happens during is when the CPU has to pass the ball to me or shooting. Like the rebounding or the post drills. Can't believe I been a member here this longComment
