Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
game is beautiful...i have it on 1920X1200 you really can see the player faces even from afar...very detailed..im not sure but the crowd in the PC version reacts appropriately in this...oohhs and aaahhs at the right time and they cheer to compared to the 360 version...
the only thing thats bugging me is that Harlan and Kellogg sounds like theyre commentating in a box...kinda muffled...it wasnt like this last year...
the ball sounds and other sound affects are not present just like last years version :/ the controls are still out of wack coming from the 360 to the PC...the damn bumpers are still backwards...i dont understand this at all...i have Batman for the PC and the 360 controls are done correctly..they even HAVE the button graphics for it!!
EDIT: no custom music...well heres to modding...
Also i wonder if the framerate issues are still present? I have a monster of a pc and last year i still had framerate issues on the following specs lol
Intel QX9650 Quad Core Overclocked at 4.6ghz
8GB DDR3 System Ram
ATI 4870X2 2GB Videocard
And i STILL had framerate issues..which tells me its the engine thats poorly optimized and is why we are seeing it a 2nd year in a row on the consoles and i would bet my last dollar on the pc version this year as well...You win some, you lose some

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I have an all new problem. Playing My Player has been fine.
When I try to play a Quick Game, it won't happen. It gets to the point of Jump Ball, but the only players present are the point guards and the game won't start. The camera just changes every few seconds and nothing else happens.
I'm sure it's my download. Man this is frustrating.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I've just call EB Games and Gamestop stores here...none of them have it and they have no idea when it's going to arrive. So people in Europe play it, while we still have no idea when it'll be in stores. Don't know what to say...My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Can someone please explain me how to play online? I go to Online-->Pickup Games - and it says it's waiting for a match...and it keeps going on and on and on...
And what is a "ranked game"? Is it like playing online? I have no idea about online since I've never played online...My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
well i upgraded my cpu/mobo today. took longer than i thought as it wouldn't post for some reason, so i unseated all the ram and cpu and then tried again and it worked, go figure.
anyway, i was lucky, and managed to unlock the 4th core of my phenom 720.
was havin trouble finding a stable overclock, so just settled for a decent 3.2 ghz at stock voltage. even when i set the voltage higher, my system wouldn't go any higher. not sure why, maybe that last core is not letting it go any faster.
anyway, im happy though, the performance benchmark gave me 90fps !
edit: scratch that, i had aa at 4x instead of 8... now getting roughly 85fps!Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Game ran like total garbage on Windows 7 x64 with quad-core and 4890 1GB. I installed XP to see how it plays. After that I may install Windows 7 x86 to see how it fares.
The sound is absolutely inexcusable. My guess would be that they are using the left and right channels from the surround mux for the voice, and that the center channel is the clearer sound. Hopefully it will be patched, because I am going to have to play the game on XBOX until it is.

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Not sure because I never ran the benchmark, but it was running like crap. Everytime I would cross the halfcourt line it would stutter. I will let you know how it goes with XP 32-bit.
What ATI drivers are you using?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Yeah I couldn't figure it out... I have 720 with unlocked 4th core (no OC though), 4GB RAM, XFX HD4890.
Maybe it's because I have dual monitors? The game was only running on one but Windows still runs on the other. Maybe it was interfering somehow?Comment
