Hotobu, i think at this point it might be too hard to get truly authentic stuff. for the most part, ive been looking for stuff thats been at arenas for the past 3-4 years.

It might be too hard to truly get that authentic flavor in there. I'm looking for "authentic sounding" variety.

Rayap19, just sent you a PM.. By sunday, we should have a great variety up there. I took just about everyones suggested content, found a source, and soon mp3s should be available..

        good times ahead.

I think the best way to go about this is good ideas and some accuracy. Having the right tipoff music is key, imo because that is sort of each arena's "theme" if you will. I think it will be good to have those accurate for as many stadiums as possible. On top of the tipoff themes, it would be nice to have a couple of sounds that are only unique to one team or maybe a few. Stuff like "I love LA" for lakers, "seven nation army" for the raptors, "shipping up to boston" for the celtics etc. Those personal team touches go along way.

Going beyond that though, certain player specific stuff would be nice, but i dont think anybody here is expecting that we get it right for all players. A more general approach would be fine, imo. Like having lots of Jay-z played at Nets games, Snoop at LA games, that type of stuff.

I see. Well I'll see what you all come up with, but I tend to like to get more eccentric with some of my stuff, and I wouldn't expect people to have the same tastes as I do. For instance and edit of this this will be played at Warriors games.

and as I said earlier this will be part of the Bobcat's music

Awesome...just...awesome. My Ipod is gonna be real busy...I will attempt to find MP3s of Herbie Kune(Raps' stadium announcer) or vids and convert them. Ray are you gonna be the repository guy? Whatever I find i'll send to you.

PS3, dont count on it having custom anything...ps3 owners always get screwed on custom music. Fight night rd4 custom was only for 360, not Ps3..same gos for the smackdown series.

Update from that minnesota twolves link

I had linked everyone to the Minnesota timberwolves website where they had game music for most of the games this past season. I compiled that list, and took out the duplicates.

End result, some 180 some odd songs. Many old timers. classic rock. pop. some hiphop. some pop culture hits. some real nice disco hits.

The LONG, HALFTIME, PLAYER OF THE GAME, and REPLAY events pretty much encompasses 95% of what I have found thus far.

                    fun times ahead.

anyone care to help me with this huge undertaking. ill provide details to whoever is interested

Ok, I put the ESPN song in for the tip-off but it doesn't start until the the 2K's tune goes off.

I suggest you get a few CD-RW's if you plan on using this feature.

DOES any one know if this will be available via 2k share or is it something we all have to do for ourselves individually!?!?

You can stream music from your pc over. And using either the in game menu, or even WMP, you can create your own playlists.

there is essentially ZERO ripping involved with this new system.

the question remains if this method actually works or if you need to actually rip them the traditional way
The 360 only allows you to create a playlist from the audio files you have on your hard drive (the 360 hard drive), so you're going to have to rip them from a CD. I'm using a CD-RW so I can erase and rewrite files whenever I feel the need to.

Each file needs to be created as an individual playlist. After you've done that it's simple, you just choose the event and then choose the song. I won't be keeping these files I just used them for testing but here is what it looks like so far.

You can assign multiple songs to the same event and the game will randomly select one of the files you've selected, or you can just select one and the game will play that one 100% of the time. I still have no idea what Long is though.

Also, the game doesn't seem to be adding any reverb to the files. Looks like we'll have to do it ourselves.
