That's actually a good program. Do you know any good reverb settings to use for the arena music?

In the menu under Effects choose Reverb. Then there is a preset for the reverb effect called auditorium. It works really well.

Ok,

So I finally went through and tried to set up the playlists for 2K10 this morning. Tell me if I did anything wrong because I'm not hearing any of the songs in-game.

Created a playlist that included all the songs for Long, Tipoff, Home Up, and Away Up. Four total playlists with a **** ton of songs in each of them. I saved each of these to my home PC, which is set up to stream to my 360.

I fire up NBA2K10, go to the Arena Sounds screen, and choose the appropriate playlist for each event.

I load up my Association, go to play a game, and I'm only hearing the generic arena sounds.

Any help, fellas?

I've heard that sometimes the music doesn't work if you use it on an already in progress association. You may have to have your music set up before you start association.

Yeah, it won't work with associations that way.

Have to have it set up, then start the association.

That does suck.

I wish I could have team specific chants, but I couldn't get my streaming to work and it was too much trouble to do all the playlists.

Unless someone has a easier way to do this?

Right now, I have all events tied to every arena. That took no time. Longest was the burning of the cd.

You'll need some music editing software to add reverb to songs. Fortunately you can get it for free from the web. I'm using WavePad Sound Editor and its very easy to use. You copy the part and the length of the song you want to a new file, then you add effects. You can choose reverb and there is preset in this program for auditorium that sounds perfect.

Same thing happened with MLB2k9. I went through all the trouble of adding different network themes to end innings and then realized that my franchise would not recognize any of them! Boo!

I just settled on 2k10 over live so I will try to read up on how to handle music from here on out. So how does this association thing work as far as music? Does it reference specific playlists that have to exist prior to starting association but not specific files? For example if I create some playlists, start an association, then modify the contents of the playlist outside of 2k10 association, does the association update with these changes? So the game ties events to playlists names....but does it actually know the content? See what I am asking? Sorry if this is dumb, I have not used much custom music on 360 yet.

I'm sorry, but that's just awful design. How in the hell is a person supposed to know that this thing needed to be set up prior to starting an association?

The Show, NHL and MLB were all like that.

Not sure about NCAA...

There's a case for it either way. I see your point but there are guys that probably would like to have each separate.

the bad news is that after a few years, you may get tired of one tipoff song of said team, and you have no option to change that unless you set it to 5-10 random songs from the very beginning.

Is that true? Cant you just change the song from within the playlist? For example, I have Philly's tipoff tied to a Philly tipoff playlist. If I got tired of them using "Let it Rock" couldnt I just delete that file within WMP and put in another song. The game doesnt know any different becuase it is still using the same playlist.

Yes, that's one way... but I don't think anyone has tested whether or not adding/removing songs breaks a playlist setting.

I've added and removed songs and it still worked perfectly fine afterwards (even in season mode). However, if you change a playlist's name, it may cause problems but I'm not 100% on that.
