in custom music area, there are three for the "in game" menu:

HIGHLIGHT event is for end of 1st qrt highlight montage. it also is for the end of the 3rd qrt highlight montage

HALFTIME- does the highlight montage going into HT and the entire Halftime

POTG,- goes does the end of game POTG menu highlight piece. nothing else.

most either use a mix of menu songs or stick to just one theme. I have no specifics in my download but merely a playlist for each tv theme, and then a variety pack playlist with a variety of approriately themed songs for halftime and POTG.. some of the POTG tracks are "end of game" tracks like kool and the gang"- celebration. think of that event as when you are leaving a venue. what song do you hear as you leave? many songs are just closers .. some are actually appropriate for POTG.. like Fort Minor - Remember The Name.. decent POTG game imo.

I was confused before and thought the Menu music was in regards to the actual in-game menus (Pause, Start, etc.) I like the idea for the POTG tracklist...and couldn't agree more about Fort Minor...when I first heard that track a few years ago, I always thought it would be good for game montages...now I see it everywhere (NBA on ABC used it a few times, and just this weekend they used it on CBS during the Florida football game.)

This minor feature seriously makes a huge difference in the realism of this game. My last remaining challenge is to get the audio settings right...my PA announcers are REALLY loud right now.

I'm not sure if requests or additions are still being processed but I'm pretty sure Weezer's "My Name is Jonas" is played everytime Piston Jonas Jerebko scores a bucket (it's the part where, you guessed it, they sing "My name is Jonas").

Nice, I'll add that one in to mine. Luckily I have a lot of Weezer on my pc already.

I just got a CD with 99 Sports chants and charges. Very good selection of organ music, bugles, trumpets, etc. Gonna throw some reverb, and echo on it and extend a few of them in my music software and add it to my Staples center playlist. If anyone is interested in the raw, unedited files, PM me.

Can somebody post or tell me what that sound is when Amare Stoudemire dunks the ball in his home arena? It is played in real life and on NBA Live, I just wanted to put that sound in for 2K. It sounds like a laser beam or something.

yes but you have to find and set it up yourself.... is that what they play when he hits a 3?

I also noticed the post above me posted the amare dunk sound. They play that when everyone slams it, dont they? In regards, to the bomb sound, its played when everyone hits a 3 point shot. Barbosa has the road runner sound when he hits a 2 point shot.

My question is are we able to set those sounds for individual players and those certain situations....slam dunk, etc?

We can set sounds only for when players score....we dont have the option to set it for 3's, dunks, freethrows, foulout, etc....wouldnt that be nice though

Just a few questions. I looked through most of the pages and couldn't find an answer, so sorry in advance if it was already answered.

1) Is it confirmed that when you set a playlist to ALL ARENAS, it takes precedence over SPECIFIC ARENAS?

2) When you use a custom playlist, does it negate the already present in-game music/chants?

they only do it for amare am working on the bomb sound next

That's an interesting one, would like to know this too since I have generic tipoff/long/up playlists.

I don't think so - I remember Ruben or someone saying that they only heard their custom stuff 2 out of 25 times or so in Staples.

I'm on phone sorry for double posting but speaking of sound effects I was watching orlando game and I heard some sound effects after a player scores...
