Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread
I don't really have frame rate issues at all on either system. Me and Ronnie from 2K were playing online earlier and it was smooth. I mean, you do get slow downs, but it does not screw with game play at all imo. Some people obviously are having issues with frame rate issues, but i am not one of them on either system.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread
I have the 360 version and there is framerate issues in certain areas of the game.
it is very apparent in certain arenas and others not so much but is there
I have confirmed the framerate issue with 5 friends who got the game today with me and many here and in 2k forums
So for those that say they do not have it....you must have bionic eyes that allow nothing negative to be seen.
My cousin got the ps3 version and there is frame rate issues and it was confirmed by a few in the 2k forums so this is not a 360 issue
is a 2k issue.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread
Playing the POR/HOU game from opening night and they just showed an overlay and talked about an upcoming game for Halloween night. They even had special graphics to go along with the overlay (ghost and pumpkin).
So far, I've seen 4 overlays during deadballs and I'm only in the 2nd quarter. This is why I'll probably stick with 2k for franchise mode.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread
One more thing, if the first game you play is at the IZOD Center (NETS) you will find yourself a bit disappointed in the atmosphere. I was running the break, doing some nice things with Devin Harris and leading the Mavs by 10, blocking shots, grabbing big rebounds and the crowd would cheer a bit and then go silent. Well for anyone who has been to or watches Nets games that is a typical NETS crowd. Then I went to Boston, then Cleveland etc. and my oh my, you don't want to fall behind in those arenas, because it gets ridiculously loud.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Because a lot of times it is a TV issue. Some TV's have less frame rate issues. It is like the Show demo. Some TV's had frame rate issues, some didn't.Comment

Scott, the show has framerate issues. It's not the TV. This game has framerate issues also, but only when the spinning lights come on. I played the show on 3 different HDTVs, and they are all different brands:wink:. The problem with the show is that it only happens in some stadiums. The Yankees was the worst..NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Just try it for yourself. Pick yankee stadium at night, and look at the batter motions. Pay close attn to the bat motions. U can clearly see it choppy compared to other stadiums.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread
I got both the game today and have been playing it for most of the evening.
The main thing I think people are gonna have a hard time with initialy is coming to grips with the controls and breaking habits you may have developed from past games. Once you understand the controls(I recommend practice mode) you will soon be on your way to enjoying the most complete and BEST basketball game you can buy.
One defense you are gonna really have to pay attention to players that are cutting and running down the lane toward the basket. If they are free you are gonna get beat inside by a nice pass or oop.
If you are used to sticking with controlling one man on defense and occasionally switching off to another, that aint gonna always cut it. the AI is GOOD at moving around and finding the open man. It plays very smart and you are gonna have to be more active in how you defend(depending on your teams defense and how well the other team shoots)
I am telling you. Once you get through the learning curve you are gonna see some pretty amazing stuff. With all the adjustments you can make on defense, being able to body up, and box out very well, playing defense is just as fun as playing offense.
I am very impressed with what thy have done this year. I would find it hard for anyone who has ever liked any 2K bball game to play this one and not like it. You can do some serious balling in his game offesively and defensively.Comment

Started a franchise just to play some random games. I didn't have any framerate issues when playing at Portland, but I'm now playing at Oklahoma City's arena and it is very noticeable.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195
