Can someone tell me where it shows who the team captain is for online Team-Up games?

There needs to be some accountability for the team captains in Team-Up.

Double-tap the shot stick to the left or right of your player. As in..

      Right-Right
      Left-Left
      Right-Left
      Left-Right

Hold the LT/L2 (?) as well for a shake-up-and-under move. And you can do these with anyone BTW.

I am still not a fan of the player controls in 2k10. I have spent way to long tweaking this dam game to get where it should have been out of the box. Its not perfect...

but for the first time since 2k8 I have had an absolute BLAST the last few hours. Incredible game of cavs vs boston in my association. The things they do well are done sooooo very well.

KG was all about that 15-20 ft jumper. Loved the physical defense the C's were playing. Shaq is a grown *** man in this game and I love that. I love the bad passes from guys who can't pass. It cracks me up everytime. The rebounding is on a diff level. and the post game is just the greatest post up mechanic and execution I have every played. Like the shot stick there is no going back from this.

NBA today is incredible !!! great work 2k. I was down on you all last year. But yall brought the funk this year like I anticipated you would. We just shouldn't have to work so hard to bring it out !!!!!!

What kind of work did you have to do? And what difficulty do you play on? All I did was turn the defensive assist to 0, turn inside and mid to 48 and 3pt to 47 and the game plays great. I also turn off clutch factor. But I wouldn't say this was working hard. And it didn't even take 5 minutes. 2k10 is way better out of the box than 2k9 was. My games are great.

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread

Welp... I had the game since it was released but was able to get and honest online game in this morning before heading off to work. It was my first attempt at an online match since all I have been reading was issues with 2K's server screwing up and let me tell you... The guy I played against played a really decent game(Cavs) me(Spurs). I didn't feel cheated, no cheese and no excessive alley oop plays, just a really good game of online basketball we all around here are searching for.

A few of the things I like about this years title:
                1. Presentation
                2. Depth
                3. Rebounding
                4. Player movement
                5. AI game play
                6. Animations
                7. Post play
                8. Player models

Just to name a few. I really haven't had time to get into the likes of adjusting sliders as I have been using Pared's quick out the box tweaks.

I did try and get in on a couple of pickup games but none of them would finish out due to server problems. I really feel once the game get's patched and the server issues sorted out playing pickup games will be a blast playing with guys who don't mind sharing the basketball and playing to their players strengths.

This morning I got in on a pickup game... Warriors(us) vs Lakers. I was Monte Ellis and it was fun penetrating, getting to the basket and setting guys up. It was fun finding Steph Curry open for the 3 as well as getting the ball down low to Zack and Andris for easy baskets.

I didn't bother beating a dead horse about the issues that need to be addressed here as I'm sure most of them will according to the guys currently working on a patch that's due out in a couple weeks. Overall... I can honestly say from what I have experienced... this game is really going to be a blast to play on and offline.

                Good job 2K Sports
Where they DO that? ? ?

This game was hard to find, it had sold out nearly everywhere. I have never had this problem with a sorts game bfore in Australia. I managed to get a PS3 copy (have Live on 360).

I am not a big video Bball gamer but Live was impressive but 2k seems to be the benchmark so I got it.

Wow, love the feel of it! However learning the moves on offense takes alot of practise as everything is mapped to the sticks. I like Live's simpler button configuration better but of the two games 2k just looks fantastic and is very smooth.

I have had no frame rate issues either.

I took my smaller hd tv to my bro's house today and I was playing it when he came back from work and he thought it was a real game on tv!

Haven't tried My Player yet...sounds good though.

I have about a week before I decide which game I will return as I don't want both games, not a big enough fan of the sport for two games.

Basketball fans should be very happy with the two games they got this year!

Now back to NHL 2k10, Malkin just scored against my Coyotes!

The commentary is great even when it's not being fed by NBA today. Playing the Knicks and hearing the 2 announcers go off a long story about Nate Robinson winning the dunk contest a few years. So realistic with laughs and everything. The best commentary in any game so far. Great job VC/2K.

To those of you who seem to be turned off because having to tweak sliders, I ask you. What sports game plays that well out of the box? Bottomline is none of them do, so that's one complaint that I just don't get.

I Must say though 2K outdid themselves yet again with latest edition in sports gaming. I only played One game before being struck ill and sent to the hospital, I've been here since last wednesday, so I've had no chance to play. The game was so good, that I find myself dreaming about getting home and playing =-P

Fight night round 4 and live 10 are pretty decent out of the box..regardless, 2k10 is a great game if you can find the right mix(sliders).

Ok, so I have been playing both games. I choose same teams and venues, play for a quater and swap games (have one on 360 & the other on PS3, just swap channels).

The players move smoothly in 2k10 but the offense is really confusing to pick up. There are too many moves mapped to the sticks and they are not very responsive. It is like trying to learn moves in SKATE. Really unfriendly to a newcomer and the alternate control schemes hardly offer any help. If I want to map a spin move to a button I lose the ability to do a pick n roll and who cares for a hopstep???

Commentary is really nice and the graphics are beautiful.

Played a dunk contest and not one guy (I controlled all) could land a dunk. The controls are just too awkward and unresponsive! Also free throw controls are terrible.

The game looks and sounds pretty and there are some nice gameplay moments but it just feels a bit ordinary and clunky so far. Live, whilst it lacks the little things has solid, pick up and play gameplay, nice presentation, better crowd noise and it is really fun.

Is 2k ball hard to learn to play???
