Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Ok now 53 games thru, I'm averaging 21pts, 12.5 rbs, 4ast, 1.2 stls and 2.4blks on 69%(74 overall).. Very Tim Duncan like numbers for a 6'8 pf. My vertical and blocks are maxed out. My dunk rating is at 80 and my low post offense is at 80 also. On ball defense is at 90. Ball handle is at 76. I think after your handle get to 65, you don't get anymore new dribble moves. So I spent over 3k for no upgraded handle. Also if you were wondering why ur player was moving slow on a fast break when you pressed turbo, it was because of having no handle. Apparently, my player made the allstar team reserve, but I did not get credited with the skill points.
I originally changed my minutes to 9mins on superstar, the 9mins is there and so is superstar whenever I play nba 2day but when I checked out my vip, it said I prefered to play on pro... I hope the update fixes the difficulty in the paint. I'm faster than ever PF and center besides Jeff Green and Josh Smith slightly)Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
But its still too easy to score in the paint..hence me shooting 69%.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Yeah that is true. I'm shooting 67% from the field as well and am leading the fg league leaders by a heap. I think if you are a perimeter scorer it'd be easy to have more realistic fg % but if you are a C or PF they you are just about garanteed to lead the league in fg % because of how easy it is to score in the paint.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Now I'm getting annoyed, I'm about 30 games in with the Raptors, and it appears that they never want to feed me the ball.
No matter how I shuffle around, I cannot find any space to get a decent look, and when I do no passes are thrown near me.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
I'm shooting pretty good from the perimeter. I'm around 50% from 3pt, and about 58% overall.
I've lost like 6 games straight and at least two of those were just Clutch factor comebacks, I swear. I'm starting to get frustrated myself, and without sliders to make it work for my style...Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Yeah, I think all shooting percentages are too high both in played games and in simmed games. They usually have the lakers shooting over 50% as a team 20 or 30 games into the season and there are several teams that far in shooting over 45% from the floor and over 45% from 3pt range. That is just absurd.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Quickness is one of the best skills to upgrade to 99. Your player moves lighter and quicker, all animations are quicker, you come off the screens quicker, the motion is very fluid etc..

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
I really think any skill that you get up to 99 can lead to big advantages. quickness and speed is nice but mid range shooting and shoot off dribble can lead to as many points, with height vertical and standing dunk can allow you to dunk on people in the post pretty easily, vertical and either rebound can lead to huge board numbers and if it is offensive a lot of points too. Layup and shoot in traffic can make you deadly going to the hoop.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
Also, has anyone else had a drastic reduction in minutes?
I'm about 58 games into my 1st season, and with 10 minute quarters, I developed to the point I was getting at least 35 minutes per game. Then suddenly, 2 games before all-star weekend, my minutes got cut to around 13-15 per game. I've played about 7 more games, and haven't gotten more than 21 minutes. Has this happened to anyone? Part of me doesn't want to continue forward because I'm not seeing a gain in minutes, and it's killing my stats.
LOL, and I thought I was going to coast to the playoffs with no issues/bugs.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
I had that problem for a few games and to remedy it I followed the PG around (not sim I know) and basicially "forced" him to give me the ball and when he didnt it opened up some good pick options as well. Its like the computer "forgets" your out there and that you have a good look and just ignores you.Comment

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
I'm a 6'7" SG on the Pistons, and 18 games into my season I got the nod 2 start. I'm averaging 18.9 PPG, 5.9 AST and about 4+ REBS. It's cool cause up until now I gradually saw my minutes steadily increasing.Originally posted by Mighty MosMy restlessness is my nemesis, it's hard 2 really chill and sit still

Re: My Player Progression Strategy
I have had games where the thunder won't give me the ball. When I was playing PF for houston they seemed to want to force the ball into me. I think team or coach tendencies might play into it some. Also, you are probably being recognized as a 60 or whatever overall player and they won't try to feed you the ball too much. You can try setting the playcalling to cpu and actually running plays. That sometimes helps.Comment
