Does anyone have a clue how to force turnovers effectively? I have not completed a single "Force your matchup commit ... turnovers" objective ever.

On ball steals are worthless (which is good), double teams are easy to pass out from, haven't managed to take a charge either. As I see it, forcing turnovers isn't exactly a way to play good defence. Besides, I play SF, so my best defensive objective would be to deny my man from getting the ball or not to let him take shots or something like that.

      Any thoughts?

To get that one I normally try to pressure the PG as he crosses the half court and try to force a backcourt violation. It's the only way I've been successful in forcing a turnover.

Sorry not to be a noob about it, but was the clone glitch corrected with the newest patch?

Is their anyway to force it to keep playing me at PG and not matching me up against players at other positions that I don't have a hope in hell in defending ??

I'm averaging 8.6 Assists per game / setting screens / good position etc but allowing too many PPGs by my matchups when I'm playing at SG to be able to get decent ratings.
I've made both athletic and 3 point specialist PGs and they both ended up having PG/SG as their listed positions. It's not very fun when you're a 6'1" PG playing SG and being forced to guard Tim Duncan who for some ******** reason is also playing SG. Made another as pass first and he's listed at PG/PG and I get subbed in at SG a lot less.

I really hope they either fix the dumb sub logic or give us the ability to change our secondary positions. Or hell, I know it would defeat the point a little, but give us the ability to manage our teams entirely. Too many stupid coaching and GM mistakes ruin the mode.

Also, an unrelated question for anyone. Since the patch has anyone been on the receiving end of an alley oop in My Player? My teammates are obviously trying to throw them to me but my player no longer automatically goes for them and they fly out of bounds. When I call for them manually with Y it ends up forcing my player OUT of the paint and I get a 'bad call for pass' reduction.

I had the opposite happen to me recently and it was really strange. I made a 6'7 PG because i knew i would end up being matched up against big SG and SF's down the track so i thought at least i could compete. I'm playing with the Lakers and now Phil Jackson regularly subs Kobe up to the 3, puts Derek Fisher in at the 2 and puts me at the 1. I was playing Houston and I had that little rat Aaron Brooks to try and chase around (my speed is pretty low) and Fish was getting slaughters by the 6'8 TMac at the 2 guard spot.

It often seem like the cpu AI makes the worst possible decisions when choosing it's rotations etc but it's still a fun mode.

Im a 6'"7 sg and of course get put up against much better players than me, PGs, Sgs and SFs..so when that happens I at least try to play good D..get a hand up and even if they score you can get a good D score and it wont go down but will go up. This is somethin I use when im playing guys like Dirk for instance. He is much taller and better than me but I was in his face as best I could and still got a A+ grade even though he scored alot.

                  Re: My Player Progression Strategy

In my experience, the rotations stop being wacky when your rating goes up. I think there is a conflict between the game wanting to put you in, but also wanting to go according to logical rotations. It tries to do both, because if it was realistic, none of our rookies would get any burn when they are rated a 60 or lower.

My PG's career has been strangely logical though. I only got a couple of minutes per game in the early going, but played well enough to get better time. Then when I was the official backup PG(not much competition for that spot in Washington), I outplayed Gilbert and spearheaded some runs to start to pull our record up to .500. When I got the starting spot, it was premature, but probably only by 10 games or so, which isn't bad considering this mode is prone to put 6 foot guards at SF. I never played too much out of position, but since passing a 70 OVR, I haven't played a single minute away from the PG position.

Wizards are so sad. With Gil injured, I'm already the 2nd highest rated player on the team, haha.

Any1 else still in the DLeague?
                    man, this is crazy.
I am a scoring shooting guard:

1st Season: 15ppg, 4 Rpg in the DLeague , got called up by the Hawks and although I did well, sent back to Utah Flash

2nd Season: 25ppg, 6 Rpg in the DLeague

3rd Season: In December 29ppg, 3 Rpg in the DLeague, shooting 90%,50%,40%

                    OVR 75
I wonder if there is a chance of making it out of the DLeague for JJ LAWSON...

This is strange. I was in the D-League for only 5 games (at 10 PPG) and got signed by the Bulls.

My main problem right now is this stupid clone who went to another team and since then is killing my stats.

                      How can I fix this?

If you already have the patch and that didn't work, you have to restart.
