Pretty sure man...I changed the playbook for MIA and the settings autosaved right after. With tendancies the Roster autosaved. Only problem is the the playbooks didn't stick.

If you load the rosters, your playbook should be there. That's the only way I can pull up my playbook edits.

Weird they would do it like that though.

Rocky, I have a thread with all the plays diagrammed and placed in boxes in word format that are about 1-2 pages each (easy to read) They have the best players for that play listed after testing each play multiple times in practice mode. Just remember to substitute the assigned player for the PG position (all were diagramed with the PG assigned as the primary player). Generally the recommended player is best (in parenthesis, but not always).

In 2K10, they (cpu) actually run the plays that you assigned for each position (tested with the cavs, played against them and it works works). Good stuff Rocky, hopefully you can do the rest of the teams you've haven't mentioned.

Yes i'm 100% certain it works this year, unlike NBA 2K9. I made the changes that Rocky suggested for the Cavs, changed all 5 position plays (pg, sg, sf, pf, c) according to what Rocky has and when I played the cavs after the switches, i noticed that the cavs were now running plays from the modified playbook instead of the plays that were defaulted with the game.

This made the game 10x more realistic since now I am now witnessing more realistic playcalling made by the cpu (according to Rocky's changes) in NBA 2K10. Before Lebron wasn't doing much damage against me but b/c of the modifications now, the cavs are calling more plays for Lebron to score and now it's more enjoyable.

I believe changing the playbook according to Rocky's modification fixes two things:

1) Adds more realism to how the cpu team run their offense compared to their real-life counter part

2) Gets the star player of the cpu team more opportunity to score and be more dominant since more plays are called for their best player now.

Again, good stuff Rocky, hope you keep doing your thing for the rest of the teams you haven't modified yet.

That's not to say that those templates should be for those plays exclusively, but the majority of screen rolls should be along those lines. I'll try to figure something out myself later on, but if I can, assistance here would be nice

You would have to ask Rocky on this one. I am not very good at identifying what kind of plays team runs and then altering playbooks so they play like their true counterpart. Hopefully Rocky will be able to post his changes to the Spurs, NO and other teams that he has not mentioned yet soon.

Btw i would also suggest that you follow his coaching Profile changes and raise the "run plays" and lower "fast break" in their respective coaching profiles in order to see significant changes.

Is it me or are the playbooks really... sketchy for lack of a better team?

Like, I'll see a play called "1-4 High Pick and Roll," and I assume it's a screen-roll at the top of the key with the PG and the PF, but then in the playbook diagram, it looks like the SG gettin the ball on the elbow and using the SF as a screen

Thanks Rocky, can't wait for this bro. You've made the game so much enjoyable with your playbook modifications.

Huge tip: Don't forget to increase the "Run Plays" after the playbook modification according to what Rocky has them up to, under the coach profiles, and you will see that the cpu teams will run more plays for their star player resulting them to be more dominant.
