I agree with jeebs. there are problems with d sometimes but overall its nt as bad as people say. the problem is the cpu never misses. now fortunately for me downloading the official roster update has fixed it. they now miss shots, even mo williams has missed. im loving the game now. u have to b on your toes on d. if u see the backdoor open switch to the help man. an before u call me a casual fan jus note I played pro ball. so I know the sport. with proper coaching adjustments u can shut down teams.

The defense in 2K has been a joke for two straight years now, it's horrible. I would probably play 2K primarily this year if I could actually stop someone on occasion. The PIP is a mess, if that can be corrected via patch I'd buy the game.

And I'm not even comparing it to the "other game", I'm comparing it to NBA/College Hoops 2K8.

So far the couple times I've played 2K10 at my boys' place all it's made me do is want to play CH2K8.

But DC I think thats what I meant by tweaks and changes. They need a little more. But they are on the right track to simulation an NBA defense. Yes they are problems. We all know them by heart. Next time you play a game. Watch the other defenders that are off-ball. You will see them react to whoever catches the ball. But all so just like in real life. D is hard. Not going to be a cake walk like offense usually is.

See what I mean...The defense is going in the right direction. It just needs a few tweaks here and there. And its ratings can go from 8.5 to 9.5

But why is it so bad? Don't the game developers see this?

                  Totally !! agree ehh

Seems like great game in soooo many ways, but where it's sooooo easy to get in the paint and score in the paint......The PIP is killing the fun factor

I only play online and I actually feel guilty when I take a cheep "in the paint" shot.

Getting in the paint should come from cuts, fast breaks and posting up, but players in this game actually stand right under the basket "without any effort to get there" then take an interior pass and shoot.........Way toooo easy IMO !!

The cheeeezers are having a ball with this exploit and now have no reason to take outside shots : (

Sure Hope the patch does something to tone this exploit down....Even enforcing the 3 seconds in the paint would help a little.

Honestly, I don't know WHAT game you have if you see those things in 2K10.

Did defense get better from last year? Yes

How close is it to representing the NBA? 67%

I don't care about passes get into the paint. I care about how I depend the pick n roll, who doubles the post, who matches up on who (it would be nice if the CPU recognized the offense/defense matchups).

This game gets better every year.

Ugh, last time I checked everyone doubles everyone in the post in this game JR

That didn't happen in 2K9, they took steps BACKWARDS in that regard

Which team are you using DC?

Because I rarely get unwanted doubles in the post using the Jazz.

Have you set your own coach settings to not double team?
