    This is a straight up lie. The problems shown in the video were NOT in the previous versions. One of them was a valid rotation, which the game has never had until this year. So what are you talking about? And how do you know what 2K knows?

    To answer your question: it's a well known fack that Pared talks to the devs. So, I would guess he been told those issues were fixed.

      To an extent, I agree. If you have 100% realism, there would be a LOT of crying in the gaming community because some aspects of the real game are HARD and people are too stupid or impatient to learn REAL basketball. Any real sport actually...

        I think it's funny how you assume that the CASUAL gamer wants what YOU want. The casual gamer buys NBA Showtime/Jam/Street. They have NO preconceptions of what "real" basketball should play like. They watch Sportcenter and they see no look passes on alley oops. They could care LESS about help defense and rotations. They have no idea why doubling in the post is wanted or unwanted in some situations. All they want is the experience...

        So, what I just said is JUST as true as your statement. I won't pretend to think that this is true for most gamers. However, I'd be willing to bet THIS is a closer description of the casual gamer, than the one you're painting that's complaining about hooks being too successful.

          Again, as Pared said, the bug was that the sliders were not being respected and that is supposedly fixed. Three players were NOT guarding the ball. One player stepped over to help. The 3rd guy was actually rotating over to cover the player that was LEFT by the guy helping. When the shots go up, if a defender is close enough to contest the shot, he'll do it regardless if he's actually guarding the ball. THIS is real life.

          Basically, the video showed 2 bugs what are supposed to be fixed - both being that the double team and help defense sliders were not being respected AND that the defense will send a helper automatically if the ball gets low. The rest of it was actually on point.

            These problems are completely new this year due to the help defense. I'm responding specifically to the video posted.

            Your first statement is just COMPLETELY untrue.

            Help defense at 0 will not have your players leave their man and help post patch. In those videos, the defense collapses when the player beats their man. After the patch, put help D to 0. You will then complain that your players are not helping. Either way, it will be in your hands.

            And help defense and double teaming are not the same. Once that one glitch where your teammate comes to double and gets stuck behind you is fixed, if you still make that claim... well, I don't know what to tell you.

              Yes, that's what I've been saying. I'm glad someone gets it.

              Once the patch is released, we can re-address all this again. If it bothers you enough to put the game away (you can take control of the player and stop the double team), then put the game away until the patch gets released. But at this point, it's just repeating the same things over and over, knowing they are supposedly addressed.

                Well let me repeat myself again. I am not obseessed with real NBA basketball I just understand that the more you diverge away from it the more likely you are to end up with a game thats unbalanced. I'm not always a fan of absolute dogmatic balance in video games but in sports games no one thing can be too effective or that one thing will dictate the game. What could be a deep game of multifacets can become a base game of few real quick if one tactic is too effective.

                Like I kinda alluted to earlier if comes to deciding between the difference between controlling the puppet strings of real NBA action or the lead pass hookshot fest of 2k10 then you me and damn near every casual gamer that isnt winning 80% of their games with that tactic will take real NBA action. Let me tell you inflated FG% can and has been one of the symtoms or the first batch of tipped dominoes that took us from NBA 2k10 to leadpass/hookshot fest 2k10.

                  I was simply being courteous to answer a reply to me, my mind strayed from the initial reason for posting the video. Which was if I specify a setting directly, I expect for that command to be the result. The result of that broken command is what placed my defense in disarray from the start... especially, if I've got my player covered. There are specific settings for certain situations/time left in a game. Each rotation and mismatch is due to computer decision. I just now watched my point guard attempt to apply a double team in the low post by leaving his man at the farthest point of the three point line. Considering player positioning, this makes no sense in any facet of the game. My initial comment in this thread stemmed from a person and their assumptions prior, not once but thrice, when I in fact knew there is a problem and a patch addressing it. So the entire "consumer, this is it and why it happens from a lesser degree" when real players don't rotate this much, was tiresome and condescending.

                    So, what I just said is JUST as true as your statement. I won't pretend to think that this is true for most gamers. However, I'd be willing to bet THIS is a closer description of the casual gamer, than the one you're painting that's complaining about hooks being too successful.

                    I'm not saying that casual gamer wont get a rude awakening when they get it. Thats what difficulty levels are for. I'm just saying that realism has always been the greatest hook when selling sports games. Just look at EA's slogan. If its in the game then god darnit its in the game.

                    We are talking FG% but presentation is just as important and its linked to FG%. Its a lot easier to implement realistic FG% if you have the animations and AI so it looks tough to score. If the defense plays as feminine as 2k9's and to a lesser extent 2k10's then its going to feel like you are missing a lot of easy shots.

                      On that we can agree. One of biggest gripes in the past with the game was missing gimme shots. The PROBLEM however is that the %'ages were pretty good with this, what I call, BUG. When they address that, AND implement a system that rewards the users for getting wide open shots, that aspect of the game got slanted to more made baskets. I HIGHLY doubt this was their intent and I'm sure it's hard to really get a real grasp of the overall effect. Regardless, the question becomes - where are those extra hits coming from? I think getting the ball down low is too easy. If they address that and contesting shots down there, the FG% will come down. Will it be enough? We will see. It's supposed to be addressed in the patch. Let's wait to see what happens and re-evaluate the issue then.
