rotations aren´t rebuild by the CPU.
Yep, just resign with your team and sign with another to check. Rookies get slotted into the starting lineup and get assigned 1 minute (sometimes 2 or 3 ...) and as a result obviously don´t play. A 81 rated rookie as the best player on his team play 2-5 minutes a night then.

Players that were bench players and got 20 minutes change teams, are starters and still are at 20 minutes.

this is with player roles off because of the 3 point bug ...

It just keeps piling on, doesn´t it ?

you have to go in and adjust every single rotation before each season (if playing as 1 team : resign position 30 times until you are through)

no idea yet how things play out after you´ve initially done that and the season goes on.

If that´s the case i´m quitting. Doing it once a season at the start is ok, but beyond that ? Hell no.

I don´t get it as well, what is that contract glitch ?

correct. it's the Free Agent glitch where you can't sign players in the FA pool in an association. it was supposed to be addressed in the patch but wasn't really fixed...

I'm fairly new but the living rosters don't carry over into association? I thought it would update itself as needed to reflect real rosters. I have to control all teams to keep things accurate? Can I do this after I've started a single team association?

After hours & hours of trawling through the NBA 2k forums on here and hours of wasted time playing Association mode only to have to restart it because of glitches/bugs, i've decided to compile relatively short but essential list of what to do (settings) & why when starting an Association.

1. Player Roles: Turned off (Only if you have downloaded Patch #2) - This will stop a glitch where the Bigs in the game will throw stupid amounts of 3pt/Long range shots causing their stats to be messed up.
2. CPU Trades: Turned off - This will stop the most stupidest CPU trade logic in a sports game from ruining your Association (top players being traded to 5-6 different teams within a single season!) To get around this: Only turn cpu trades on at the start of February (that way you only get 2 weeks of crap trading before the trade deadline)
3. Alter all D-League players stats: Offensive & Defensive awareness stats lowered by 20 & potential lower to 37(This stops the cpu from signing all the D-League players and leaving all the free agents to get old and ****ty - its just not realistic)
4. Set the cpu to sort out Pre-Draft workouts: This will 9/10 avoid you losing the pre-game team & player intros in the rest of your seasons.
5. BEFORE you start your association, you have to go to those players that have the "2010 - 2011 contract glitch" like (Boykins, Udoka, Antonio Daniels, Tinsley, Barry) & so on.... sign them to a team & then edit their contracts so that is only a value in the first year & the others are grayed out & then save.... then release the player from the team & repeat steps for all of the problem players.... save the roster & start a new association using that roster & the issue will be resolved.

If anyone has anymore suggestions or if i've missed anything off the list then please post them up.

Holy $%$%^^%&^%&%&^^^% i have to do all of this just to enjoy association mode. Screw this man i am done with this game. I cant believe how mess up this game is really is. That we have to do all this just to enjoy ARE U KIDDING ME 2k really. 10th year anniversary and this is how you treat you fans. Shame on you 2k shame on you. Why i cant enjoy a sport game i cant believe in this next gen i cant enjoy a sports game. Not in madden, not in NCAA football, not in mlb 2k and now NBA2k i mean come on for godsakes. I guess i just have to put the sports genre to rest man cuz it will never be good as the last gen.

Nba2k is only sport i can enjoy, i even enjoy playing nbak29 despite the non existence of help defense and horrible CAP for rookies in draft. I gave up on madden and NCAA since it hit the next gen, gave up on MLB2k after horrible and disgusting gameplay of 2k9. Now i have to give up on NBA2k the only sport game i have left to play, now this 2nd patch have completely destroy association.

I am not waiting on 3rd patch, imagine a pc user they are getting more disrespected than console users, they havent received their first patch yet. What kind of freaking service is this man seriously. Its like going to a restaurant waiting for ur food for 3 hours got it and the damn thing is cold that how i feel right now with 2k service. I know FIFA is great game and NHL but im not into those game. Im a football, basketball, baseball gamer. I already gave up on 2(football and baseball). Now basketball is getting real close to the edge for me on giving up man. This is crazy my expectation for 2k is so low right now.

I dont even want to edit my draft class anymore, all this hardwork of combining nogster tendencies with rashidi rating. Creating my perfect sliders all going down the drain. Updating draft class all this work man and now to find out that i have to put more time in association mode to enjoy. Screw this man Screw 2k man Im so piss right now. Sry yall i just need to vent man.

Sports on Next Gen has been a real disappointment. Yes, they're beautiful, but they're only skin deep. 2k was always the saving grace (I thought 2k9 was the best sports game ever), but I think they tried to fit too much into this year's game, and the wheels kind of came off.

Hmm. I'm curious then if anyone else had this or if I'm just lucky. The reason I asked if it was the same is that a couple of the names mentioned as part of the contract glitch were guys that had duplicates of themselves. But yeah I was lucky enough to two have on the same team two Jonathan Benders, two Lester Hudsons, two Serge Ibakas, and a couple others. And in the free agent pool there was a second Boykins and a couple others that were duplicates as well.

Like I said, am I alone and this was just a fluke, or has anyone else had that? I used standard 2k rosters, no player roles (of course), 30 team league.

Someone has told me that patch 2 has fixed the d-league player & free agent glitch in Association mode. Is this true anyone?

sort of for the FA glitch...check out pg. 1 of this thread for details. you basically have to edit all the FA who have contracts or else you still can't sign. TERRIBLE.
