Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Not being able to complete plays because of an invisible forcefield keeping me from going to area I need to go
The stupid shots against the back of backboard
The ugly and useless shots in traffic that rarely, if ever, go in
My player having a 90+ mid range rating and after being able to make every single shot in practice, having to rely on dunks and layups to score
My player having a high dunk rating and Jason Richardson's dunk package but only doing the same two dunksOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
How it seems like you can NEVER stay in front your man in My Player. Not because he moves too well, but because there's a harsh disconnect/delay in animations. My cover goes left, so I lean the stick to go left and follow him, but somehow I end up running up and to the left, putting me behind him while he has a clear lane to the rack. Lay up. I lose a Teammate Grade for letting my man score.
And all the CPU has to do is go from a total stand still to just a simple cut to the basket and suddenly I'm lost.
It also irritates the hell outta me when the game has these ridiculous substitutions where I come out after getting a foul...and stay out for exactly one minute. Then I go back in, the play is blown dead when a teammate fouls someone else...and I'm substituted out. I was in for a grand total of 8 seconds. And then they sub me right back in 5 seconds later.
It's like the head coach is on PCP and doesn't know what in the world he is or is doing.
I sincerely hope the next game has better controls and the My Player AI gets an severe upgrade.Comment

Now THAT was funny.
To add to this: I hate when the other team is on a fastbreak, you get matched up with a different player on D....your matchup scores (who you are not guarding at the time) your grade takes a hit. WTF!!!!"I BALL FOR REAL, YALL DUDES IS SAM BOWIE."

I don't see what's wrong with dropping to pro then, if you have that many problems. I had the same sort of issues you speak of playing on AS the first few months until I finally gave in and went to Pro, with good sliders and it's a good, competitive experience and feels legit - not too hard, not too easy. Seems pretty simple to me, if you can't make shots on all star, drop to pro. :/Comment

Losing the turnover battle 19-2 makes me want to throw the controller. Sometimes it literally gets to the point that I can't pass the ball, or stop my PG to call a play.Comment

I'm still angry that I can only make a midrange shot with my guy after dunking over and over again and getting hot. My midrange is 95, consistency is 90, and I have my shot down perfectly.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Players dribbling off course. For example, I be dribbling down the court with my pg and suddenly he starts dribbling towards the sideline or any other direction besides forward.
Sometimes, I feel the control pad would be better than the joystickComment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
ranked players running under the basket on 3 defenders just to make a easy layup , baseline animation layups automaticly going in on ranked games.
paint shot % in general needs to go doen ALOT. if 2k needs proof they need ot check out the shot charts from their 2k tourney games and notice how every chart is all paint shots mixed in with 4 3pt shots SMFHComment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
You see teebone21...You have the wrong outlook....What 2k should do is give the defense more effective ways to stop a basket from scoring (defensive animations). But scoring in the paint shouldn't be reduced. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to get across.ranked players running under the basket on 3 defenders just to make a easy layup , baseline animation layups automaticly going in on ranked games.

I hate the pushing/shoving animation when you're trying to get past a player on fastbreak, and with the poor movement in this game, it's hard to avoid it.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
I hate how the game's idea of defense on a fast break is just running in front of you and completely stopping your movement. IRL, I would be able to keep them at my hip and either draw the foul or get the lay in.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
I get it, and I agree 100%. The lack of defense and this friggin' sliding are my biggest peeves. I know 2K(like Madden) has to appeal to the casual hoops fan, but too many times 2K10 feels like NBA Jam.Comment
