Maybe it can be arranged to where you automatically shoot your signature fade if in traffic from that distance instead of the shot-put hook lol

I've been advocating this change and was disappointed to see that move in the 2K11 demo, hopefully after I tweeted Mike Wang's Twitter about this that he'll address this issue b4 the official launch so that we don't have to see this animation on a daily basis.
watching Ewing through the years he probably did the hook shot only twice....i remember one game where Frazier was commentating and was surprised when he used that move...

the running hook is more believable...i just dont see todays player use that stand still hook shot...

        Gasol doing the running hook...

This is something I really hate in 2K10!!

I asked Ron before the patch how to stop it and he said use the shot stick.
          That didn't help at all!
CPU hits it 90% of the time.
What I hate is I would have a layup and they stop to throw up a hook and I miss it.

Please fix those hooks out and fix all those hook shots that happen behind the basket.
          True bout my business, Mane!

The excessive hooks in past versions bothered me as well. Thankfully, they don't play off with any regularity this year. In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw that shot play.

Another thing to remember is that you can't extrapolate from a 2-min. clip how an entire game will play out. For example, Shawn Marion hitting that tough under basket contested shot doesn't mean you'll hit a high % of those types of shots over the course of a game. It actually feels like the opposite is true. If I make a shot like that I consider myself very lucky. The fact that you saw a couple of baseline dunks (against very poor defense at that), doesn't mean it's easy to go baseline all the time. There were a couple of thread the needle passes that snuck by the defense. Again, that's very rare over the course of a game. Bad passes definitely get punished hard this year.

It's so sad that these leaked GC videos are the first look you guys get at 5-on-5 gameplay. We captured some videos yesterday for marketing. Hopefully we'll be able to get you something more indicative of what the game actually plays like when it's not your first time on the sticks.

Nice to here that...this has always been one of my biggest problems visually to watch happen in this game from players and overhead passes

Thats good to know, another thing that bothered me was lack of two handed moves down low. Did you guys add some of those as well?

Lol I'm over here cheesing so hard. I love how Beluba interacts so much with the community.
But the thing that really annoyed me in 2K10 was how much the CPU used the backboard and how it went in about 95% of the time when they did. Everyone doing these shots that bang off the backboard after I play 22 seconds of great defense.

I bet even though Beluba just confirmed the hook shot problem is fixed, i bet we will still see people repeating the same stupid questions.
