2k10 had way too many canned animations and 2k11 looks no different looking at the videos

        Agreed...
I like being in control of my actions on the court.

Yea dude freakin Nba 2k10 went in the guiness world records for most animations in a basketball game last year. The developer says it would take about a month to see all the animations and to this day..its very rare but i'll see an animation and be like Wtf..never seen that one before cause its so different yet realistic..just the other day i was playinga game in my association and D. J augustine layed it up and stumble into the camera but he didn't like stumble alway back he juist stopped toward the camera man and made sure he was okay and then ran back up court..

Why would they tout? Every game uses physics. The extent to which they use physics is nothing special. They aren't rendering animations on the fly.

They are still using two player animations, but the animations will branch out into different outcomes depending on user input. It's definitely an improvement.

Well, it seems that another game is touting it. Do you think that game is dynamically creating animations?

And no one is talking about the general use of physics. It's about how and where physics are used. And, no, not every game chooses animations based on a actual physical simulation. Some games just use positional state, while others go beyond that and use momentum state.

                      This.

Let's not look at the animations or movements, let's feel the controls!

That's what they claim. Until I spend enough time playing it I can't conclude whether it's true or not.

I think that's become the standard nowadays, although both basketball games have had a bit of difficult with this in their shot blocking systems and Elite has with its dunking.

That's the thing. I don't think they have ever made the claim that the animations are dynamically *CREATED*. But that's a topic discussed in that forum.

Exactly like 2k10. I see no difference in graphics or animations
