I am going to give it a go on 2K cam out of the box for control reasons. I am all about control first.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
One thing my friends use to when we played on broadcast was steal down court passes to wide open players. It was like there did a super jump and it would be a steal every single time.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
There's that word cheese again. LOL. Interesting!!!! I don't full court pass on my fast breaks normally and only fast break when the opportunity presents itself. You guys act like players in real life never throw full court passes over trailing defenders. I guess NBA players cheese too. Wow.
Fast breaks feel more realistic on the 2k cam. In real life you are not limited to seeing the other end of the court, cuz you have to wait on the camera.Comment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I like the look and presentation of Broadcast, but I much prefer to play on 2k. Takes me several games to adjust to Broadcast. In the MyPlayer mode, I liked the Broadcast Dynamic (I believe that's what it was called), but I don't recall seeing that in any other mode. I also messed around w/Nosebleeds (w/some tweaks) and it wasn't so bad, kind of gave the feel of Broadcast but with (for me) a more playable angle.Comment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
This dude is correct right hereI think its absolutely rediculous to ever accuse someone of cheese due to a camera view. You are still playing the exact same game. Its not like if you use 2k cam your players are better. I like the handle a lot better w/ 2K cam and I don't mind the screen flip. Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
Originally (in early 2k games) I played the 2k cam and loved it. Over the past few years it has been broadcast and nosebleeds. I just recently switched to 2k cam again and don't think I am turning back. It feels more like 'playing basketball.'
1) controls are easier as I was pulling off moves that I could not quite get on broadcast
2) I could see the court much better and run plays better.
I switched because I had been playing madden and could see the field and told myself let me do this in 2k.O.G. - Original Gamer '87 NES

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I agree with the those who say it's less difficult to do moves on 2k cam. I sometimes think 2k feels this way, as they tend to showcase the moves in videos that use the 2k cam, and the controls are designed in a way that coincides with that view (i.e. , left/right, up/down). Regardless, OP, which is "best" comes down to what YOU prefer. You just gotta mess around with them until you find your "one".Comment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
2k cam or another cam that sits behind the player like the My Player cam...i prefer camera that sit behind your player so you can do dribbling move easier and see the passing lanes better...side views like broadcast cam are terrible for seeing the floor and doing dribbling.Comment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I've played a lot of basketball in my life, and i've always used broadcast type cams.I feel like those who use broadcast cam never really played basketball, and are used to watching basketball. So their perspective is used to that angle when basketball is being played.
But to hear people call it corney and cheesing, that's so ignorant to even think that.
I play real basketball daily, I'm sure there's many people on this board that do the same. The 2K Cam is the closest thing we have to our perspective of basketball. Walking the ball up court, and analyzing the defense will never be east to west. You'll never have the amount of detail from that angle to completely see the floor the way you should to run your offense.
Just my opinion.Comment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I can't believe that so many people have such a hard time executing dribble moves in broadcast view. 2k isn't THAT hard of a game to play. Some people act like it's impossible to see the court, dribble, breathe or do anything unless your playing with 2k cam.Comment
