Yes, must hold turbo.

There are some fancy contextual passes that happen while you're driving and decide to pass off.

I'm in practice mode holding turbo and trying over and over to do fancy passes, but every pass I throw is textbook. I HAVE done a fancy pass before, but I didn't know if it was because I held turbo, or if it was contextual. I'm using the Heat by the way and throwing these passes with LeBron and Wade.

It's all contextual.

You'll see it happen in the game based on the situation. You can't directly pick your pass type, but your Turbo+pass influences the pass chosen.

You can't expect to see a silly ridiculous "fancy" pass in every situation just because you hold turbo and press the pass button.

It might also have to do with that player's passing rating. I see a lot of fancy passes from Nash and Paul even with the flashy pass slider set low.

Yes, you are correct Gary. The rating has a big part, but since he mentioned he was playing with DWade and LBJ I figured that may not be the problem...

Oh yeah, I know I'm not gonna miraculously throw a fancy pass when I want to, but during fast breaks, it was nothing on 2K10 for me to throw a behind the back pass on a fast break holding turbo. It seems like on this one, they will mostly throw the simple pass.

Well I figured out why I was struggling with the double cross....my crossover animation was crossover 3....there is no double cross in that set...i changed it to crossover 2 and BAM....it was cake again.

So FYI to those of you who are having trouble with the double cross....don't have crossover set 3!

I'm have major trouble with these L2 and fakes. I played someone that did it to me like 5 times. It seemed ast though as soon as the primary defender jumped. That no matter what the help defender did. The ball would go in.

Must of been watching the highlights from last nights game lol...When you spin out of the post or drop step. You press the shot stick towards the rim. I do it all time with him and Duncan. Long armed fools.
