Whats up im in my player mode and i got drafted by the Magic in the 1st round. i've got bacically all the awards a rookie can get after a season. nba champ,rookie of the year, etc. I got my welcome letter, billboard 1 and 2 and my shoe deal! Just finished da second season wit a record of 75 wins and i havent recieved anymore endorsements! Is da billboard 2 da last endorsement n the game?

I have Robin Lopez, Greg Oden, Grant Hill, and the rookie Bledsoe. I'm fine with what they did, but the Celtics getting rid of Paul Pierce just doesn't make sense.

Excuse me for not going back and researching but if I remember your post a page back or so you said you were a SF. Now, at least in Association - the Celtics are a MESS with player roles (to where, basically, you're going to have to trade SOMEONE like Shaq, Delonte, Baby) because you don't have enough minutes to satisfy.

Also from association, you will notice that the only players that never get traded are "star" players. Pierce is just a Boston starter. Now, while I agree that Pierce being traded from Boston has about as much chance as Jeter not re-signing with the Yankees - from a game mechanics standpoint - you reducing Pierce's minutes probably pissed off yet another Celtic and they moved him.

I *don't* claim to know how the team handles player roles internally in MyPlayer, but I'm sure a player of Pierce's level would get pretty pissed getting benched for you.

It's an imperfect situation, but on the other side some people would be enthused by this "realism" (Hey, we were super deep at this position and we traded our assets) - while others will be turned off by this "lack of realism" - Pierce never leaving the Celtics.

The way I treat player transactions in ANY franchise/career start is that its a "whole new world" because of your presence. I almost have to because I'm such a Detroit homer. Like, as a Piston fan, I *know* we have to get rid of Rip Hamilton's contract. I know we need to acquire value for Tayshaun NOW because there is no way he reupps on his expiring deal unless we Ben Wallace style overpay to keep his steady-to-declining-and-hence-not-worth-a-looted-contract arse in the D past this year.

But, I'm rooted to real life. Rip and Tayshaun were instrumental parts of the Championship I remember most in my life (other than the Red Wings). I was watching the Bad Boys when they won, but even at 32 years of age now, I was like 10. Rip and Tay are special players to my heart. Like Pierce is to anyone who bleeds Celtic green.

But the thing is, when we take over we either are now a NEW NBA player that just wisped out of thin air, and maybe that changes a team (or in the case of a talent like Lebron style, which most of these players wind up being) the league's makeup.

It's the reason I pretty much have to do 2 associations every year and wind up maybe getting in 1 season in on each and never really see any of the depth (which ticks me off) - because I'm such a homer that I always have to play a season with the "default Pistons" and NBA just so "real" history is represented. I then of course do a team where I take my beloved Stons and rip them apart the way Joe D SHOULD have done in REAL history, and fix the atrocities that are known as Charlie V. and Ben G.

Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to show the two differing ideas. From a "my player is dynamic" perspective, you taking Pierce's role and the C's getting value is a great thing, in my eyes.

yes, and like 10 games in the regular season or something(i forgot) before you can request a trade

I got drafted by the Magic 5 straight times. Decided to just tank the summer league and go to the D-League haha

I think Ray Allen has the easiest release form. I use it on all my players. I tried D.Rose for my current new player. Caught me off guard a little because you gotta release it a little quicker. Went back to Ray's just to be safe.

No one's release is easier than MJ's...

Just finished season one of Lance Law's career. He avg'd 24 6 and 7(about). The Thunder made fourth place in the playoffs and enjoy homecourt advantage against the Spurs. Lance won the ROY easily but f'n 2k won't give me the achievement even though I played each of the 66 games lance was healthy for with 12 min quarters

Still, all in all happy with the season. Now to try to win a ring and hope we don't face the superhuman Yao Ming in the playoffs. Thunder better grab a big in the offseason either way or I'm taking my talents to broadway.

Made a 6'9 SG. (ment to be a SF lol) Got drafted by Dallas. It's ok playing with them even though I dislike the team in real life lol. So far played 3 games into the season winning all 3. I'm averaging 13ppg 5rpg 2apg 1spg 2bpg. I play on 12 min on superstar default.

im playing on pro default lol. Ill play hof when i reach 90. Im avging 45 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 apg and 1.8 bpg. Im a 6"6 sg. Sad thing is, I missed about 30 games. I got my own shoe too! 6 games left till playeoffs. Is the shoe the last endorsement?

PS im on thunder on a 13 game winning streak and were 54-22. Trying to get 60! But we got lakers next game. O.o Last time i faced him i got 75 and he got 60 in a double ot thriller and russ westbrook missed game winning three because he didnt pass it to me! All we needed was a quick at basket bucket.

did you mean the 'headlines' where i follow it on a team by team basis? i dont see any news section

im too far into the season to see the old headlines...even so...i dont think there was anything listed there but the game highlights and certain milestones of players throughout the league

Yes, sorry - it is Headlines, but I've since found out that this bug only happens to some people. And for the record, my hiring/firing screen does show all the changes. There have literally been like 50 changes through April - even on winning teams.

I was initially drafted by Twolves as a PG, even though I was at the SG most of the time, but I have finally been traded to the Warriors. Something I find funny is that a good portion of the plays I run for that team end up with me getting a docked on my teammate grade because it says it was a "bad pass", when I'm just running the play as instructed....crazy

Wow, Playing as an SF on the Bulls, and it is taking me forever to get minutes @ SF...

I just played the Rockets... Yao Ming and Luis Scola fried us... Hopefully we won't see them besides two times a year
