Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
How can I get John Wall to score more? Every time he's on a fastbreak and he's about to score he passes it out to me, and every time I run a play that's designed to go to him he passes out of his shot. I don't want to be the lead scorer for every game, just most games. I know Wall is capable of doing it in the game though because there was one game where he scored 25 points and I scored 18, that's the only time I haven't been the leading scorer my whole career since I got the starting job. Or how can I make any of my other teammates score more?Last edited by taboo102; 02-23-2011, 07:35 PM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
That makes sense, he always has a high number of assists which is fine with me, I just wish every once in a while he'd score 20 pts or more because he is the second best scoring threat on the team (behind me of course), he just chooses not to score. I was looking at his attributes and he has 96 layup, yet he hardly ever takes it inside.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Just finished a big game against the best overall team in the league, the 76ers. (95 overall) I bagged a tripple double. 59 points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists, the last assist coming off a dish to D-Wade under the basket to put it in and give us a two point lead with one second left in the 4th. Also got to witness my All-Star PG dish an amazing no look pass to Chris Bosh who threw it down, early in the third quarter. I love playing with the Heat!Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
6'0" 230 lbs Athletic Point Guard (built like a running back I guess?) -- I pumped my mid-range shooting and have worked from there. After 15 games I finally supplanted Andre Miller for a starting spot at PG -- and now he's on the trading block. That's GREAT, because while he'll make good passes about 20% of the time he'll go into "ballhog mode" even with Roy and Batum open for jumpers (along with me). I would get subbed in often at SG when he was at point, and the team did MUCH better when I'm at PG then him.
So far my stats aren't godly, but I'm starting to put together a good string of games now that I've got the starting spot. My first game starting? (12 minute quarters)
46 minutes (league high thus far in the season)
31 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks...and 5 turnovers. gah, still need to cut down the turnovers.
But it was okay, because I tied the game on our last possession to send it into OT. Then, with the hornets having the final shot, I blocked a 3 point attempt by Chris Paul to seal OT. My mid range jumper started cold, but I scored 23 points in the second half and carried our team after Andre Miller almost single handledly blew a 17 point lead.
Here's to hoping for more success as a starter. Currently averaging around 11 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and half a block and half a steal per game. But over the games where I've gotten significant minutes it's closer to 18-5-5-1-1.
Unfortunately, my 3rd game in the starting line up got me a severe ankle sprain after going up for a defensive rebound. That was 4-6 weeks out and a lot of games missed. Who knows if that will hurt my RoY chances. When I came back the Blazers were still 2 games below .500 (annoyingly). You know it's bad when you get a 20-4-10-2-2 game against the Bucks, and even though both Bogut and Jennings get injured in the first quarter we still lose by 20.
The beat goes on.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
We just changed plays. I found this play(14 Punch) that gives me an automatic Layup/Dunk. All I have to do is move close to the PF and pass forcing a double team and I will be uncovered to the bucket.
We(Nets) are tied for 8 place with 20 games to go. My next 3 out of 4 games are Key Games. As long as I dont Turnover We can win against anyone. We can possibly move up to 6/7th. Only tough teams we face are Heat, Celtics, Bulls and a few others left.
I am close to where I want Ball Security at, currently 89 and I will stop at 90. I will boost Pass and Hands to 90, wont be hard because of 3 out of 4 games are Key Games.Last edited by illwill10; 02-23-2011, 11:42 PM.Comment

shawn kemp's and howard's dunk package are both reserved for PF's and C's
for a PF...most definitely get vertical, block, and inside shot upComment
