Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I have a 7'5" Center playing at OKC, I'm definitelly dominating the team. Kevin Durant do nothing but pass the ball to me. I've finished my first season with him, earned MVP, Most Defensive Player, Rookie of the Year, NBA Star, Leader in rebounds and 3rd in PPG. It's been to easy for me to gain stats as I'm the only one who scores.

I think I'll create another Player. Anyone have some idea? Which position is better(Not including PG)? I was thinking on a PF, but I don't know so much for a PF spot, so it would be better a SF. Comments?

i know how you feel, im a pg for the knicks and we picked up nash. w/ 5 min quarters, i'll easily put up at least 50% of our points on 65% shooting from the floor but we've been struggling to win games since we picked up nash b/c i dont have the ball in my hands all the time. i watch players dribble up the floor then try and shoot a running fall away 3 or drive in double coverage and get stuffed.

luckily i finally got my floor general status back and am now starting over nash. there was a 10 game period where the team was winning <50% of the games so they finally bumped me back up to starting pg.

i was also put in the rookie sophmore, blake griffen is a BEAST. i threw 3-4 alley oops to him and he was absolutely skyiing in the game. i was all named to the allstar game but only got in a the beginning of the 3rd for a few minutes then benched for the rest of the game. still though, all star game was pretty fun

Most likely, he was using it the same way I was to pull off the hopstep. It's tricky to use that because the stick have to be neutral for it to work. That's what I think. I always get that charge call against me, it's never a blocking foul.

I play a SG for the kings 20+ games in and I love it... like a said before he's a three point specialist, makes shots from everywhere. oh ya and did I say I LOVE IT. Only problem is I don't start yet but I still get 30 mins a game.

Thanks for who said bring up offensive/defensive awareness worked on those last night and boosted my guy up to a 58 now.

Another Question tho... Whats this gameplay setting (default/simulated) which one do i want?

IMO, unless your team acquires a good post player, you should ask for a trade. Tyreke is so young and he will be the star unless you want to raise your overall to like 95. If you get a post player you could have an elite team with Tyreke at SG,SF you at PG/SG and a good PF/C .

Good teams to get traded to would be teams like the Bulls, Clippers, Hornets, Nuggets, bucks, and Magic. I know Vince Carter is on the Magic, but he'll retire within two or three seasons and by then you'll be able to play well with a championship caliber team along side Superman. So my top three would be Bulls, Magic, Nuggets.
Ya I have to agree maddens career player mode(my player), whatever it is called i don't pay attention too anyone, SUX!!!

Hmm I'll have to think about the trade, I enjoy playing for the kings because there a young team... but not starting kinda bugs me even tho i get 30mins a game... and moving to a team like the bulls with a great pg would probably help those times I dont get the ball after being wide open after a pick and roll

In my first year as a rookie PF with the Thunder, I got selected for the Rookies vs. Sophomores game in February (as the starting PF).

Why is it that every time I play this particular match, my player gets subbed after roughly 6 to 8 minutes in the first quarter without getting back onto the court AT ALL??? How on Earth am I supposed to complete the game-specific tasks, like limiting my matchup to 1 post move for instance???

But no no no, the only shot my guy can make is a wide open mid range jumper when he's at home. By the way, this whole "you dont shoot well on the the road" thing is getting ridiculous.
Where are all your skills set? Im a 6'5'' PG and I can dunk the ball easily. After my first season, I upped most my scoring skills to the max and I can take on some SF's at times. Its very hard in the beginning when your stats are low, so thats why you have to play a little more conservative so be patient and youll be dunking before you know it.

6'0 Athletic PG, Drafted by the Magic, Traded to the Pistons, Then back to the Magic 66 Ovr currently working on Ball Secrurity, Steal, Shoot off Dribble, Stamina, Consistancy and Off & Def Awarness

Just won my first game against the Thunder, Since being traded back to the Magic we have won 1 game coming close to winning only agaisnt the best teams, Its on Superstar difficulty but I see my teamates making shots more frequently and I finally go the hang of actually running the point instead of playing like a Midget Kobe, I've had 20+ Pts and 9+ Assts (excluding the Rookie Sophmore game) in my last, We Blew Boston out 84 to 55, Lost due to Vince Carter jacking up the stupidest shot I've seen in my life as soon as he got the ball right after I drilled a CLUTCH 3 in Will Bynums face to keep us in the game 102 - 104 against the Lakers, Then we beat the Thunder as I held Russel Westbrook to 8 Points and 6 Assists, Kevin Durant was thier only double digit scorer.

My Season Highs have been amazing for a rookie

                                Points is 59
                                Assists is 22
                                Made FG's is 21
Blocks is 3 (mind you im a 6'0 Point)
