May be a dumb question, how do you "sell back" points you get from drills? Like if I get a speed point how do i sell it for SP, which I think I saw someone post in here

Okay, I'm sticking with my original 5'9", 19 (now 20) year old PG, and he's starting over Steve Nash.

However, in the middle of my first game with Nash on the team, I become the SG (because I'm a 3 pt specialist) and Nash goes to PG. Seems like I'm the #1 PG, but later in the game we'll be on the floor for extra juice. And it works - I go to Nash when every one else is missing for some assists.

Just go to the SP and take them away as if u were adding points. But you can only take away points to attributes that were boosted.

I just had a career high in blocks with my 6'7" SF (that mostly plays PF) against the Suns. My previous high is 1 and this game I ended with 5!

My player's a 6'7" all around sg, got drafted by the Spurs at 20th overall pick. It was hard at first to get good stats, but now it's ridiculously easy. I'm averaging 25 ppg, 7 rpg, 5 apg and 2 spg and 1 bpg shooting at 62% and an average teammate rating of A+ playing 8 min quarters. I'm second in the league in scoring, behind Bryant and my PER and EFF are #1. My defense is really good, my mid-range shot is unstoppable. I've played 22 games and my player's rated 57 overall; I got the billboard and magazine cover endorsements from Jordan. I'm a starter now, starting over Ginobili (the second highest rated player on the Spurs lol). My team's 19-3.

But it's getting a bit boring now; especially because there's no play calling or any sort of organization on the floor. I feel it's getting too repetitive... same thing game in game out. The post game press conferences don't live up to the hype, and I really haven't seen any ramifications resulting from my choices in the conferences. Also, why is there no information about player contracts in "my player"? I'd like to know how much they're paying me, my options etc...

P.S. This is my first 2k game, I used to play Live until Live 07 came along, then I just stopped playing basketball games. If a noob like me is doing this well in "My Player", then I bet the pros out there are tearing it up.

One thing I'm starting not to like, is the whole sim-system.

Not only does the game not let you keep your SPs if you're up 30 in the 3rd and just want to skip 25-30 minutes of pointless play, but when you sim entire games, the simmed stats affect your averages.

I'd love to sim some of the boring games (I've got about 25 left before playoffs), but if I do, the computer puts up 14 points on 3/15 shooting with 4 turnovers =/

sorry to be a spoil sport but is anyone in here having the myplayer freeze problems that most of the guys over at the 2k forums are having ?? just reading this thread has made me want to start my myplayer but im kind of reluctant considering the issues people have had with freezing/losing data.

WOW!!!

Just had a game against the Jazz, and wow I'm speechless. The worse game i ever played! I had 7 turnovers, 4 in the 3rd quarter which helped there come back. But some how we were still in the game. I had 28 points but we lost the game because of me. I was missing wide open and easy midrange j's i could hit in my sleep.

Final Score: 77-70
I was on an 11 game win streak which started against the Jazz and rightfully ended against them also.

Something else on my guy, I am averaging 25ppg game through 8 games, does anyone know how long it takes to get a billboard?

Looking at how everyone else is spending their skill points makes me want to reconsider mine. I have been trying to keep most of my stuff even, like around 70 or so, and then once all the main areas I am working towards get there, I have been upping the first ones I built up. Looking at some of you other guys who have some stuff already maxed out makes me wonder if I need to start trying to do that as well.

Also, one other gripe about the Griz, I hate playing with Conley! He is a ball hog!

I too play with the Griz and your right, Conley is a straight hice box. Him and Mayo jack up ridiculous shots.

sorry to be a spoil sport but is anyone in here having the myplayer freeze problems that most of the guys over at the 2k forums are having ?? just reading this thread has made me want to start my myplayer but im kind of reluctant considering the issues people have had with freezing/losing data.

It was an issue last year also, fortunatly for me I havnt run into it yet although I still make a backup file just incase. As long as you do that you should be fine until they fix it again this year.
