Finally got my shoes and they were talking about them in game

almost done the first season, only have about 3 double doubles so it's not so easy.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Well, the team has hit rock bottom. A 6 game losing streak, with no end in sight seeing as how the next three games are at Houston, versus Boston, and in Chicago. Out of desperation (and to keep up with the rest of the league), the team decided to fire their head coach. With team chemistry in shambles (2%), The Natural has decided that loyalty and professionalism are no longer words in his vocabulary. He keeps thinking, "I'm better than this, and the team won't trade me, so I'm a continue to do me". Throwing players, fans, the organization and everyone else under the bus has become a common occurrence.

The Natural's teammates try to freeze him out often passing to the other side of the court, but when they get stopped up or need a bucket they reluctantly rely on their disgruntled star. Honestly, with team chemistry at an all time low, why even try to respond to a question with professionalism?

The local fans have all but stopped caring about the me-first prima donna chucking up shots and berating a teammate for not "getting him his assist". The Natural doesn't even want to be in Toronto, and Toronto doesn't want him disrespecting the purple and red. Why even answer a question with loyalty?

However, the only thing on The Natural's agenda is getting stats, raising his profile, and maybe one day gracing the cover of a magazine or designing his own show. People need to know about one thing and one thing only. The Natural. Some may call him arrogant or conceded, but to The Natural he's just being real. Telling it like it is, whether people like it or not.

How do you guys play on superstar and hall of fame with all of the defensive sliding? I can't get by anyone, not even centers. Any time I have someone beaten they just shift over in front of me, defenders are strafing sideways as fast as I can run. If I can get my dunk animation to start from far away that's the only way I can get to the hole, otherwise they just shift over and bump me.

Also it seems like no matter what teammates I have they just plain suck. I started in Miami and the big 3 was laughable, jacking up shots repeatedly for no reason and missing. Now I'm on the Mavs, I have not seen Jason Kidd make a single shot. Butler has done absolutely nothing at all. Dirk is injured so I don't know about him yet but I assume it will be the same. I want to play like a real team but it's impossible, the only way to win is to score 40 a game...

The coaching carousel in My Player is insane. Every team has fired their head coach at least once. The Wizards actually fired Flip, hired a new guy, fired him, and brought Flip back.

Pistons: John Kuester -> Clay Turner -> Del Negro - Kurt Rambis
Hornets: Monty Williams -> Ray Knox -> Kurt Rambis -> Phil Jackson
Grizzlies: Lionel Hollins -> Irvin Madsen -> Larry Drew -> Irvin Madsen
T'Wolves: Kurt Rambis -> Rod Hudson -> Clay Turner -> Monty Williams
Kings: Paul Westphal -> Pat House -> Alvin Gentry -> Nate McMillan
Nets: Avery Johnosn -> Tim Dame -> Pat House -> Rick Adelman
Raptors: Jay Triano -> Lynn Dawkins -> Avery Johnson -> Keith Smart
Wizards: Flip Saunders -> John Kuester - > Flip Saunders
Thunder: Scott Brooks -> Paul Westphal -> Tom Thibodeau -> Alvin Gentry
Cavs: Byron Scott -> Lionel Hollins -> George Karl
76ers: Doug Collins -> Bryant Richmond -> Tim Dame
Suns: Alvin Gentry -> Sylvester Lewis -> Mike D'Antoni
Pacers: Jim O'Brien -> Avery Johnson -> Billy Hamlin -> Pat House
Clippers: Vinny Del Negro -> Bryon Scott -> Larry Brown
Hawks: Larry Drew -> Scott Brooks -> Lionel Hollins
Bulls: Tom Thibodeau -> Irvin Madsen -> Billy Hamlin
Bucks: Scott Skiles -> Paul Westphal
Knicks: Mike D'Antoni -> Monty Williams -> Vinny Del Negro
Warriors: Keith Smart -> Scott Skiles -> Bryant Richmond

Blazers: Nate McMillan -> John Kuester
Mavericks: Rick Carlisle -> Doug Collins
Nuggets: George Karl -> Rick Carlisle -> Byron Scott
Celtics: Doc Rivers -> Sylvester Lewis
Bobcats: Larry Brown -> Lynn Dawkins

I had that problem too when I was playing on Superstar, so I switched over to Allstar until I got my speed and quickness up. Now it's easier to get by defenders... my speed's 96 (with shoes) and quickness is 94. Increasing your ball handling skill helps too.

I've looked everywhere for a contract info. page... but haven't found it; I'm pretty sure there isn't one now. It's a big oversight on 2k's part... contract length/value are key pieces of info. I haven't reached the end of the season yet, but I've heard that your contract is up at the end and you go into free agency.

They should also add a page that shows your team chemistry, local fan support and league wide popularity (i.e. the variables you influence during the post game press conference). Without this info, it seems like the press conferences don't mean anything. I'm aware that you can find the team chemistry info in the homepage at the NBA.com screen, it'd be nice to see the rest of the info there too.

                  1. offensive rebounding - self-explanatory
                  2. defensive rebounding - self-explanatory
                  3. hustle - chase after loose balls (rebounds are loose balls)
                  4. hands - ability to catch the ball (so you don't just tip it, you actually catch it)
                  5. offensive awareness - also helps to get loose balls
                  6. vertical - jump higher to reach the ball

All of the above attributes are tied to rebounding, improving them will help your player not only grab uncontested rebounds, but win against other rebounders.

My player's a 6'6" all around SG and I'm averaging 8.2 rpg on the Spurs with Duncan (10.1 rpg), McDyess (6.4 rpg), Splitter and Blair on my team who are great rebounders. I'm playing 8 min quarters.
Stealing Tip: If you want your player to steal as efficiently as CP3 increase the following stats:
                  1. steal: self-explanatory
                  2. offensive awareness: helps get loose balls
                  3. Hands: helps catch the ball, not just tip it
                  4. hustle: helps get loose balls
                  5. on-ball defense: stick to the offensive player, make less mistakes defensively
                  6. speed: helps in chasing loose balls
                  7. quickness: quicker swipes make for more successful steal attempts

I'm aware that this info is old news to the NBA 2K pros out there, I'm just giving the newer players some tips to help them achieve specific goals in My Player mode.

Grrrr I had 18pts 13 rebounds and 9 assists... passed to Andris Biedrins and he got fouled and missed the dunk... then coach took me out for the rest of the game... can you say heated?

Wow, playing as the short guy really is hard, there are no easy points like rebounds, boxing out, blocks, and the cpu really tears me a new one when I get subbed for a SG instead of PG.

Going for a layup usually means a block, what is that rating that makes you draw a foul more frequently?

Can anybody else not get traded no matter what? I request a trade and will throw an interested team on my list of destinations, I sim ahead to check and sure enough they will say no desired trades have been found, you can try again with different teams.

Also, I unlocked the letter and billboard essentially right away. I didn't get an update from the insider, I just checked and they were there after like 2 games (I'm wondering if this has to do with my old my player already unlocking them?), but I haven't gotten an endorsement since.

Also, my minutes have not moved (no one's has). They stay at 33 mpg. I was averaging more as a 6th man with my old player. I'm averaging around 25-7-6. I just hope then when I get to free agency it doesn't freeze up on me when I finally try to leave.
