My Med range is at 80 but I still cannot make my shots, So I figured since I'm shorter maybe I need a higher shoot in traffic or something, I have been averaging 16 pts off bench 2 rebs and assts a game. I didn't have a TO in my first 3 games, and when I noticed it and tried not to get any TO, I got my first one in my 4th game :-P ...

I have answered arrogant in every answer except one about me being the star, I knew where that was going... Just got my First Jordan letter 7 games in, Bout to continue
aside from the points....are you just playing the SF position because of the glaring needs for that position throughout the league or because of the potential for being in place to get rebounds?

like why not just make a 6'3'' athletic PG?

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

I've started and played a 15 -30 games for 3 different careers. I have played all 3 at 6 min quarters.

      1) A rebounding PF who was drafted by the Nets
      2) A 3-pt specialist drafted by the OkC.
      3) A athletic point guard drafted by the Celtics.

      My experiences so far:
      1) I enjoyed playing this kind of player, but I can't score, at all, and no one will pass me the ball. Despite my best efforts at rebounding I wasn't exactly lighting things up, so I was only getting 800-1000 skill points per game.

      2) This was fun Oklahoma is awesome and between open 3s and fast breaks I scored at a pretty good pace. Still, I got frustrated not having more control over the offense.

      3) I am playing this now. I basically do all my scoring on the quick release fast breaks, which is pretty cheesy. I am stuck behind Rondo and though I get plenty of playing time I can't call plays.

      ----------------------------------------------------------------

      so, my following observations:
On every team ,the AI seems awful. Players rarely if ever help on D, and on offense so often they go one on one into triple teams. When I played a passer this was very annoying, as I'd hit, say, Ray Allen, standing alone at the 3pt line and instead of doing a catch and shoot, he takes a bunch of dribbles, does a spin move and shoots a contested mid-range jumper. Are any of the settings able to improve this mess?

The lack of play calling is very depressing. Every game starts to look the same. While your opponents run plays, most of your own teams possessions involve a lot of standing around and one-on-ones. Is there any resolution to this? As a PG will I eventually be able to run my own plays?

Do skill points scale dependent on quarter length? I see people getting 2000+ per game which seems impossible. Even my best games I haven't gotten that high unless I hit a bunch of milestones.

The quick release fast break technique which is how my guard scores all his points, its so cheesy. Does All Star level nerf this? And if so, it sounds like it will make everything else nealy impossible to do.

I hear a lot of talk about people running the dribble drill to improve speed, but even as a PG I can't even get a bronze on this, let alone a gold. I have raised my handle to 75 but my player momentum has me running past cones and then I can never seem to complete most iso moves effectively.

I'm beginning to think as fun as myplayer has been (with the whole RPG element of it), the bland gameplay and crappy AI are going to suck the fun out of it and maybe i'm better off doing an association.

Am I doing stuff wrong or is this just the way things are?

I like SF the best... I also don't get many rebounds I only average 1.9 a game, TOO SHORT to get them... I played SF in real life so I wanted to play the position, and 6'3 is the shortest/closest to my height (6'1). I have the most fun playing that position out of every My Player I have started...

I have also had bad games, When I've played with people that weren't undersized I'd always dominate no matter what, I wanted a little difficulty also

Was upping my Athletic SF's pass rating today and I was confronted with the horrible red font of a skill being capped....at 75!? That was a little depressing, needless to say. On brighter news, finally got my Grizzlies over the hump that is Yao Ming and his Rockets...we'd lost our last two or three matchups with the Rockets (they're a rival team as well) since we hadn't really hit our stride yet. I had a feeling we'd be able to pull this one off because our chemistry had improved greatly since our last matchup. Yao was his usual hacker self, hitting almost all of his shots, but this time we managed to shut out the rest of his team, and behind a balanced scoring attack (I had 28, OJ Mayo had 22, and Zach Randolph had 20) we managed to beat our rivals at last!

Just played my 15th game last night. Playing my first game as a starter, minutes went up from 4 to 34 after 15 games. Now Oj Mayo is playing less than 10 minutes. I'm just 47 overall. Might need to up the level to HOF.

Memphis is now 7th in the west. We are now 9-6. 3 games behind Atlanta.

I'm a 6'6 SF (6'4 real life), got drafted to the Heat second round, second pick.
I'm 44 games into the season, although I'm sixth man, I get great minutes every games. Currently I'm first in PPG, fifth in Rebounds and fourth in assists. I have the highest player efficency raiting in the league and I'm second in MVP voting right now, behind LBJ.
The heat as a team are tied for the top spot with the celtics. I'm going to play the rest of the season/playoffs with the Heat and hopefully win some gold, then next year I'm going try to get traded to a contender who need a SF.

The Pacers are now 8-5 thanks to their up and coming 6'6 shooting guard. After losing 2 straight games to Orlando and Miami, the Pacers started a 2 game winning streak.

The first game was against the Cavs. Jamison was on fire and scored 40 points on the night. The game went to 2OT. I almost made the game winner, but it rimmed out. However, I managed to score 5 quick points to tie the game and force the second OT.

The second game was against the Thunder who have started off the season slow. I was matched up against Kevin Durant for much of the game. He scored a bunch, but I managed to hold my own. We end up winning the game by 7.

                        After 13 games, I am averaging 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 1.9 turnovers.

for the dribble course it is more important to hit the iso moves it lists. if you get all 4 you will pass with a Gold. Take your time on the iso moves and it will get easier

I'm playing as a PG and I have 42 ov. I'm built like Steve Nash and after two games in the combine, my grade is A and right now, the preview is that I'm ending up in Memphis.

I'm passing happy guy, so far, got 9 and 6 points. I don't shoot a lot (I have problems getting the shots to go in, so I prefer dishing the ball) and I'm looking to be effective all-around.

Where should I put my points to get my player better? What would you previlegiate distributing the points?

Also, I'm having a tough time with the drills. I'm getting points when I try scoring, challenge shot and defensive low-post, but other than that, It's a mess, I often get no points at all.

Is there a trick to be successful in that matter?

Haven't read through the whole thread(too long) to see if anybody else has had this issue but I am at the all star break now of my first year. For some reason I wasn't selected to the rookie/soph game but my problem is I get the pop up saying I was slected as an all star and I get the milestone but I can't play in the game. It doesn't even load up the all star game or nothing. It just skip the entire weekend and goes right to my first game after the break. Is anybody lese having this issue??

It is still crazy how the Lakers and Heat will whoop your *** at any time... Lakers whole team plays good, and the Heat, LeBron fried me soo Bad 1st quarter (13 pts) I wanted to restart, But I'm not a quitter and slowed him down to only 27 pts, 1 ast, no reb, I had 34 pts so my grade wasn't too bad...

About 25 games in with my 6'3 Athletic SF and nobody on the Wizards will freakin pass me the ball... I get in the starting line up and nobody will pass the ball to me, not only that I'll get to 27-35 pts and my teammates get worse!!!!!!!!!! I'm just tryna get the 40 point milestone, and the chemistry not bad or anything... We first in the East, But I'm selfish GIVE ME THE DAMN BALL!!!! LOL
