Looking in the rumor mill, I see..

Carmelo Anthony: Hold Keys to Own Fate
      - Rumor: Carmelo Anthony to exercise player option.

      and

      - Anthony's Mom: He hasn't told me anything.

      LMFAO!!!

[MIN year 2/All-star/82gm/10min] Now 17-5, waxed the Knicks by 20. [Next season stepping up to Superstar]. Trying to get through this season quick because I want to get Derrick Rose, and prepared to offer alot to get him [will have Detroit's lottery pick [via Wes Johnson trade, currently have worst record 1-21]. Want to build a team around Rose, Beasley and my rookie C who's on pace to win ROY [14pts 11reb 2.5blk]. It's just so hard to sim games because the comp makes me lose more often than win, and I want home court throughout the playoffs!

        PG Flynn | Eric Bledsoe
        SG Ginobili | Nick Young
        SF Beasley | Donte Greene
PF Ibaka | Amundson | Seraphin
        C Aaron Sharpe | Splitter | Whiteside
        Lakers | Michigan | Dodgers

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Figured id shake things up and do a fantasy draft.

I picked the thunder because scott brooks and maurice cheeks have a good development program and they work for cheap. Plus they have free budget on staff.

This is how my team turned out.

Pg- Jameer nelson, Luke ridnour Eric Maynor and Eddie house.

Sg - Shannon brown , Cory Brewer

Sf - Kevin Durant ,Damion james and Daniel Green

Pf - Amare Stoudemire, Glen Davis

C - Erick Dampier, Hasheem Thabeet Francisco Elson

          --

Signed a few players traded players around and from the original draft i got rid of eric dampier, damion james, Francisco Elson, Daniel Green, Shannon Brown, and eddie house.

I ended up with this roster
pg - Andre Miller, Eric Maynor, Avery Bradley
sg - landry fields, cory brewer
sf - kevin durant, jonas jerebko, donte greene
pf - Amare Stoudemire, Glen Davis,
C - Roy Hibbert, Zydranus Illagauskus, Hasheem Thabeet.

i dont have my picks anymore except my next year 1st round.

          Decided to sim to jan1st
Got 16 wins and 19 losses. I was winning in the month of november had a few losses but in december i just kept losing.

My team is young and inexperienced but i do have 2 vet presence in here. Zydranus and Andre miller, but i seriously think its andre miller hurting my team. I figured ill sim to next off season and see if i can pick up a good pg for mid level.

Had a great game against the Grizzlies, won it by 2 pts, 93-91.

Mayo and Gay were monsters in that game. They were throwing 3's everywhere. My team were lucky enough to squeeze a lay-up with just 20 seconds left.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Season1 [as] Mavs (All-30 Teams) Association:

The Mavericks have defeated the OKC Thunder to advance to the Western Conf Finals:

With series tied 2-2, the Thunder headed back to Dallas where the Mavs proceeded to demolish this young team on their way to a BLOWOUT victory.

Dirk excited his home crowd w/ a 33 pt effort, and Jason Terry really got it going dropping 23 and securing a surprising 10 rebounds. Shawn Marion added 13 and 9 and was the only other Mav in double figures.

Durant scored 35 pts but was harrassed all game by the Matrix, the result of which was a 14-38 shooting effort (6-17 from downtonw), and only 3 trips to the FT line. Serge Ibaka continued to be a factor, and was OKCs only other player in double figures w/ 19 pts on 8-11 shooting. Jeff Green went 1-10 and Russell Westbrook 1-7.

In Game 6 a veteran-savvy Mavs team headed into enemy territory primed and ready to get the job done and advance to the WCF.

The Mavs bursted out the gate w/ a 63% shooting effort in the 2nd Qtr, taking an early 30-25 lead to finish the 1st. The 2nd Qtr would be an utter disaster for the Thunder, as they shot a HORRIFIC (and probably a historic record low for the playoffs) 2-21. The Thunder scored only 12pts in the 2nd Qtr, 7pts coming from Free Throws, and the Mavs scored 20pts to extend their lead on the Thunder to 13 heading into the half.

Kevin Durant was O-F-F off. His 1st half was absolutely horrible, but he would come back w/ a vengenance in the 2nd half. That's when the Thunder played their best ball. OKC would actually outscore Dallas 50-43 in the 2nd Half on 43% shooting, compared to Dallas' 32%. But the hole they put themselves in w/ their horrible 1st half was too much to dig out of.

Kevin Durant shot 53 FG attempts, connecting on 21 of them, and finished w/ a game high 49 points. He really got it going in the 2nd half, but he never got his 3pt game going shooting an ugly 3-15. He got no help from the rest of his team though....

Russel Westbrook produced nicely in other depts, but his scoring was most needed and he shot 2-12 scoring only 4 pts and never getting to the FT line.

Jeff Green and Serge Ibaka were the only Thunder players in double figures, each w/ 12.

The Mavs had 3 in double figures as well: Dirk w/ 34, Caron w/ 18 off the bench, and Kidd w/ 13. Dirk added 9 boards, and Kidd added 10 assists, but also turned it over 5 times. Mavs turnovers played a BIG part in the Thunder's 4th Qtr push....

The Mavs had lead by as much as 20 in the 3rd Qtr, but the Thunder came within 5 pts w/ about 6:00 left in the 4th qtr...mostly due to late turnovers. However, Dallas would of course overcome those turnovers.

                Final Scores Gm5 and Gm6:

                Gm5: OKC 77, Dallas 96
                Gm6: Dallas 93, OKC 87

So with the Mavs advancing to the WCF they will face San Antonio who beat the Lakers in 7 games for a CLASSIC Western Conf Showdown.

Meanwhile in the East... The Hawks, despite being without Josh Smith due to injury since Game 4, upset the top seeded Bulls winning in 6 games. With the series win, the #5 Hawks move on to face the #3 Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conf Finals.

Simmed the rest of the season and this is how my team looks like

pg - Derek fisher, Eric Maynor, Avery Bradley
sg - Evan Turner, cory brewer
sf - kevin durant, Wesley johnson, donte greene
                          pf - Glen Davis,
C - Roy Hibbert, Zydranus Illagauskus, Hasheem Thabeet.

I dont have a back up pf, but i figure wit this line up thabeet or donte greene can play the back up 4.
I simmed the second half of the season. With this team made 2nd round of playoffs against the lakers.

Lost miserably because the lakers had lebrone, boozer and marc gasol. Lets just say my team was decimated when it came to the middle.

I figured this off season i can sign a back up pf since i dont have any draft picks and just develop this team and stick to a 13 man roster.

Hopefully with a decent back pf my team will go farther, but i dont knwo who to sign. I want a pf that wont ask for to much mins but could contribute to this run and gun team. Any ideas guys?

                                NEW JERSEY NETS!!

I tried playing the Nets in the Association Mode and I was surprised. They need a lot of work, yes they have some key guys on Brook and Favors but their perimeter shooters are horrible. I'm planning on making the following moves:

1.) Maybe trade T. Williams for a better SF
2.) Get a SG that has a better release than Morrow
3.) Not quite sure what to do with Harris
                                4.) Get a better bench
